Congratulations!! I picked one up in Sherwood Green Metallic , last week, ( I have always wanted a Jazz Bass Special) they are beautiful well made basses & they're a limited edition only 141 basses were made.

The Sherwood green metallic is actually closer to jade green metallic
@@josephromero4585 From what I have read there have been a total of 414 Boxer Strats & Jazz Bass Specials made for world wide distribution with 141 of the being the basses, I am not sure how many of each color has been made .

Thanks. It's a great instrument. One of my main basses. I did eventually change the pickups, but I do that with all my basses.

I have a P bass made in Japan in 1990, I bought it off a frined who never took to it. Had it ever since 1990. Japan makes perfect guitars. Sucks only two colors, I would def choose the green one if I was to order.

Awesome basses. I really regret selling mine. I bought a new one in 1988, looked just like yours except it was fretless. The body was Alder, Rosewood fingerboard, Precision & Jazz pickups, 34" scale. It was also one from Japan. Had it for years and played many shows and recorded countless albums with it...Enjoy!

The original Jazz Bass Special was part of the Boxer line that included some slanted pickup models, P, P/P, PJ, etc.
I got the green one in the spring, but here I am for some reason anyway haha

Almost a modern C. Def not a D. It's a superb feeling Jazz neck with excellent fretwork.🥂

I finally played with a band after year-and-a-half. sounds as good as it looks, pickups are amazing punchy and loud.
