Like you saw, you always should go directly to battery for the winch ground. Same for wiring radios, don't pull power from somewhere nearby, always run power directly to battery. Also, don't forget to properly pre-tension your winch line, it comes loosely spooled onto the drum and you'll crush the synthetic rope if you try to recover without pre-tensioning it. ua-cam.com/video/oZZ5GLcNZHw/v-deo.html

Nope. Fairlead is for stainless line and has rollers. Aluminum winch plate is what we correctly identified in the video 👍
