Congratulations on your wedding Ryan. Be kind to one another and always remember to date your wife so that you and she can feel special and bond closely. As a woman, we just want to feel that we matter I am happy for you.
@@yasminedey8612 That was always my impression. But he wouldn't be the first cockney who liked co.... never mind. We'll wait until he introduces his spouse in a future video.
Europe has a long History. You have such a wonder world of antiques. After two word wars it is special to see such old beautiful pieces. I love it all. Getting it sent to United States would be exorbitant. I'm so envious.
Yes Ryan, save that money towards your house you are renovating. Plus, you need to include your wife when making large purchases as she should you; fair is fair.....
Nice to see you two besties together again ❤️ some nice things at le Brocantes. What a difference the chandelier looks with the missing glassware🎉loved watching Ryan and Billy😅
@@rosalotter4029 I reckon he lost it from sweat and hard work on his chateau, his huge convent building and helping out mates. You can't work that hard and NOT lose weight.
Happy to see you back. Apologise for lapse of judgement over your privacy and deleted my comment. CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding and looking forward to seeing your home reno progressing. Good to see Billy too and love wandering around Frances shops.
Fantastic to see you back again and a huge congratulations on your special day. I’m guessing that there won’t be anymore bumping into at airports for awhile now 🤭and I admire your restraint on shopping, I don’t think I could do that 🎉😂
Ryan so glad you're ok and a big congratulations on your new mate. Meaning wife. I'm happy you're ok and happy. I have missed your interaction with us. 😊
Love a good zoom around the antique shops ❤❤❤ thanks for the tag along …love the bits that was missing from the chandelier ,she’s absolutely 💯 perfect 👍 now
i restored an original stereo egg chair and ottoman I found on ebay local for around $600 and will never get rid of it, had it repainted and upholstered.
Great video , regardless of the value of the LV trunk to someone else who only cares about the monogram I would have brought it as an investment and place to store your other LV items or made it a display piece , but that’s just me and I guess each to their own.
Not when he has a new wife to support now--and a house to get ready for her. Got to think more wisely now. Use that money on the house so he can bring his wife to their home more quickly
I noticed it too and am wondering if he isn't feeling a bit jealous that Ryan got married before him? (It is my understanding that he and Gwen are not yet married). Just my guess, of course
@@jlotoo850 I don’t think it’s that I think he’s worried about Ryan. Ryan can be somewhat compulsive. He wants him to do good in life, especially now that he’s married. Billy has a huge heart and is a very hard worker. He just wants the best for him.
My Grandmom came to Ellis Island NY from Switzerland with her husband and baby son with a trunk just like that ( no Louis brand though) Gave it to my daughter and don’t have any idea if she still has it !!! It was from 1917!!! Loved it!!
Oh such fun times with you and Billy doing the antique shopping! A question, or a few, for your Q and A session for your future video: Is the Mrs Ryan with you in France now? Was it difficult for her to get a passport and citizenship to live permanently in France? I hope she is doing well and excited to be in her new home!
Maybe put a rubber band around the base of the piece before setting them in, that way the rubber will absorb any shock/movement and 'stick' it in place.
Once your house is finished, will you furnish/decorate with antique furniture or an eclectic mix of antique and modern? Can't wait to see what you do next in your house!!! :)
Hi Ryan. I am so glad you are back. I always love the videos that you make with Billy. You have such a great friendship. Hi might be a good influence on you. LOL
Ryan,Billy my bromance couple. There were so many beautiful things in the brocante. As you said Ryan. I could furnish the whole house with their merchandise. The chandelier looks extremely beautiful with the glass globes. So good to see you guys together again. Well my darlings until next time. Please, take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🍺🙏🕊❤️🌞🇺🇸😇🌈👍🌹
Billy is hilarious, wow what a nice antique shop, it's not crowded and you can see everything. Ryan your French is excellent. Those chandlers are just fabulous, good job filming Ryan welcome back.
Lovely jaunt to the antique store. I must disagree slightly; a trunk is not a proper trunk without the tray. Half or full tray, it must have the tray or it's just a blanket chest, imo. I do have a question @LifeofRyan in France, at what age does a piece pass from just old to "antique?" Here in the states, the East coasters say not before 125 years. In the Mi-west we are a little more relaxed at 100 years. Some well made and preserved slip in at 90.
There is a program in the U.K called the repair shop, Susie Fletcher is their leather expert. She restored a Louie V trunk that was all over the world. She did a beautiful restoration on it.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, at about 8.25 there appears to be a black tabernacle with the Chi-Rho monogram of Christ. That must have been DE sanctified. It's small. It may have even come from your convent.
@@Gramma_Holly I'm curious as well. I was once tested by a curious co worker and was able to tell them that the "P" symbol was seen in a dream Constantine had as God telling him how to achieve victory. He there after made that his symbol at head of his army.
I admit that if you had decided to buy that trunk, I would have thought you're not serious about restoring the $15 k house. When the home is finished and your partner/wife moves in, then you can have the pleasure of filling it with some treasures.
I agree I think that Billy probably had a heart-to-heart talk with him about that as well on what priorities he needs to have. He’s lucky to have a best friend like him.
Can do the same with an old table that gets painted. Doesn't need it to be antique to be functional. Right now he needs to get the house ready to be inhabited...
Still taking in Ryan getting married and this is two married friends I look forward to seeing her around maybe behind the scenes. The bike is nice but what if you wanted to buy something larger? that trunk would be a nice wedding gift just saying. The glasses hutch would look lovely in his bar. That is a lovely chandelier Billy for the dining room I am guessing or library. Well done Ryan and Billy

Congratulations on your wedding Ryan. Looking forward to your vlogs again.. I’m sure antique roadshow a couple of weeks ago had a similar lv trunk valued at a few thousand because it was early and didn’t have the lv mark on it. Check it out
Ryan, all decor starts at the floor. Look for good deals on Persian rugs. The LV trunk would be great as a coffee table but with a glass top. Billy, that "trunk" is called a coffer, fyi. I have a Spanish coffer from the 16th century that I bought in Stowe so the 790 was a great price!
The boys" window shopping", and Ryan sounds quite the expert, on age and pricing, I'm wondering while admiring the front and tops of furniture, does anyone check the back and underneath for faults and woodworm ....
I am glad that you did not buy that trunk, even with it's history it is NOT complete, it is missing a big piece, the drawer that pulls out. To be paying that much for something like that is unheard of here in the US. That chandelier is beautiful with or without the bigger crystals on it. Great time seeing you and Billy together going to the antique store. Have a great day
