UPDATE: Some of you have voiced some feedback about the thumbnail featuring Switch despite the review featuring PC/Xbox gameplay. I reviewed/played the game on Switch/Xbox/PC. Usually I list the platforms I played on at the intro of the video underneath the game name though last night around 3am, I was running into some issues with the word switch coming out as swi/ch once the video was exported (I think something was wrong with my font choice because Nintendo came out as Nin/endo as well). Rather than try to solve the issue at 3am, I wanted to sleep so I just erased the text and uploaded the video to avoid any "HEY THE VIDEO SAYS SWI/CH NOT SWITCH" comments in the morning. Most of you also know I tend to show the game running on Switch (literally like in live action) when the I'm reviewing was also played on Switch. Being that I was editing this at 3am on Tuesday morning before my 9am college class and just 12 hours after my South Park review went live, I got too tired to film live action shots or record more gameplay on multiconsoles, just wanted to be done and thought a in depth review of the game was enough. I understand the confusion/upset comments who feel like I was trying to deceive people into thinking this was all Switch gameplay, believe me when I say that wasn't my intention. If you've seen any of my other reviews, you know I'm transparent with my audience, reply and respond (even months/years after the video is out) instead of deleting comments that disagree with me. If I wanted to get views based on Switch viewers I'd write Switch in the title, the thumbnail doesn't bump me up in search results. I actually go out of my way to correct people who comment thinking this is a "Switch channel", don't like that stigma, I try to cover a bit of everything not just Nintendo, no preference here. Anyway, I went ahead and changed the thumbnail and will be a bit considerate in the future. Thanks to those that left feedback and even more to those that knew my intentions weren't deceptive.

0:41 Well, that's the first time in over 40 years I've ever heard the war between the Norts and the Southers described as a "Civil War".
It's one of the best comics story arcs ever until the Horst storyline, they are well worth reading again (and again), only even the reprints are starting to go out of print, so get them in now, because I personally can't imagine playing this without having even read a single comic, otherwise it's just an old FPS with blue soldiers.
It would of been fun, if it was a 4 player couch Co-Op.
Hopefully we get Dreed Vs Death HD next, really enjoyed that game on the Xbox back in the day.

This game is flawed, but underrated imo, a remake would've been better, keep the level design but re-format the gameplay, make it feel better simular to Gears with its cover mechanics, since that game perfected the cover based shooting mechanics.
This game is still more innovative in terms of gameplay then any other modern 3d person shooter

I remember playing this game ages and ages ago.. Never really used the rifle because it had limited ammo, and I had the pistol, so completed the game with the pistol. It was a pretty good time
Good review. Took me nearly 11 hours to complete the original game, but I took my time and and didn't rush. I do wish the devs or publisher would give gamers who purchased the original, either from Steam or GoG, a deep discount. I'd say something like 70% off for the Redux.
Music is one of the best of all time in this game (in the same league of Metroid prime and Halo1-3 for me)

As someone who grew up in the late 90s this was really refreshing to play. Seriously modern games sucks so much with their control scheme with how easily they are playing one of these games from a time where games actually had some form of quality and it didn't go based off of politics but based off of the story and interesting concept it was just a fun time playing. It's just like playing Resident Evil 4. Not saying that it's better than resume before I'm just saying it's nice to sit down and play a game that was built to be a game

Luis Alamilla Yeah it's a 4 year old indie game.. it's supposed to be really hard, ghosts and goblins hard, and around 9 hours or more if you want 100% completion.. anyways keep up the Switch reviews, they're mostly what I base my purchases on

Yeah the flaws with this game should've been re-done for the Redux , such as faster weapon switching for pistol, auto cover and auto reload needed to go as well. Overall this is still fun to play I really liked the upgrade feature and the main weapons.
Another game like this is (2007) Kane and Lynch failed 👎it is not fun to play today, just awful. Maybe that game should've also released on the PS2 ?

Maybe DON'T panic-throw two scramblers at a mechsuit, and you won't have to open the crafting menu as much. Not to mention, wasting time using micro mines when you could easily have snuck behind the disabled mechsuit and instant-killed it. Man, you should submit an application to IGN, you'd get hired on the spot for reviews.

I mean I played the original on PS2 I didn't know I'd anything to do with a comic book I played it cuz my brother wanted me to play it with him turned out to be pretty cool bought the redux version trying to enjoy it again but it's not the same without my bro
Know some of the things you say are just not accurate it doesn't take too long to weapon switch there's an animation where the character literally puts his weapon on his back and swamps to pulling his pistol out of his holster. So yeah it's more realistic with how he handles weapons. And when it comes to running out of ammo that's more realistic it's not like modern Shooters where everything is streamlined its more gritty and more realistic with how it handles weapons and how you're supposed to use weapons. That's just the way the game is. But modern Gamers today those who we're born in the 2000s don't understand this. It's a Redux it's not a complete remake they're not redesigning it from scratch and turning it into a new game it's more of what we loved out of the original just a bit more polish.
Epic definitely took notice of the game mechanics when making Gears of War…straight up rip off/ homage…or as game devs call it, an evolution 😂

WW2 in space. I only real gripe is the gun sounds are so generic and boring they don't ring out or anything I wish they really would have updated that personally I've heard for the plasma or energy-based weapons in a setting like this but whatever
