      @@PenneySounds I was only counting New Who, aka Eccleston to present. (Sadly I have not watched all of Classic Who. Cries in BBC won’t share Dr. Who with America) And my math may be off. I could have sworn I’d heard before that Eccleston was Scottish but google tells me he’s English. Either way tho, the fact that 1/3 of the New Who Dr. Who actors are Scottish and they are still running with the gag of the Doctor never intentionally going to Scotland is hilarious to me.

    • @sambishop3211
      @sambishop3211 Рік тому +94

      Better than that, he does a variation of his natural accent so that it comes across as put on in a subtle way. He also still follows the speech pattern of the doctor and once in the episode he even slips ever so slightly back into an English accent ie his “normal accent” on the show at the end of a phrase.
      I’ve just rewatched the episode and it honestly stupefied me how much it feels like he is “putting on an accent” throughout especially when he inadvertently “drops it” when things get serious. Note the quotes are meant to be how it feels since he obviously isn’t losing an accent ha. Tremendous actor.

Then viewers in the UK say they're really far apart because they're on opposite ends of the country. But only someone from the UK would see those places as being really far apart, because their country is tiny. Anybody from the US or Canada or Australia won't find Aberdeen and Croydon to be very far apart at all.
