I loved Capaldi's post-regeneration discovery.
"I'm really scottish. *realization dawns* I can complain about things."
As if a lack of being Scottish has ever stopped the Doctor from complaining before. I mean, Twelve really had the accent to enjoy it, but they've never really held back before.
@@bluestar2059 but with the Scottish accent the complaining sounds very forceful
@@Chaplain_Asmodai true that! Twelve does sound marvellous when he really complains
And then he does for the entire time he's the doctor.
Wanted to like the comment but didn't want to break up the 666 count
"Yeah, she's my carer. she cares so I don't have to." gets me everytime.
I quote this in my head probably almost every day.
It's very Doctor.
Honestly this is basically what my carer does lol 😂
For me that's the best quote from the best Doctor.
I absolutely LOVE the fact that 80% of these are just the 12th Doctor
"And don't look at my browser history"
His delivery is absolutely spectacular. "No wonder you're always being invaded" I was howling
He does homage all the doctors infusing the classic with the newer incarnations so it does fit. Sad they didn't show the newer brigadier in his scenes with Clara though.
Best part is that's actually Peter playing the guitar!
He was a legend. He was chaotic and calm at the same time. The best depiction of the Doctor yet, in my opinion!
And Capaldi's interpretation is just the best we could've possibly wished for.
Playing _Toxic_ to mourn the Earth's cremation in stellar hellfire is peak Davies-era camp and it's literally two episodes into his run.
Also hearing Tainted Love in that episode. Had me dying lmao
I want to know who signed that off on behalf of the licensing company😂
It's the only thing I think about thAt song is doctor who
The Doctor: "There's a horror movie called "Alien"? That's really offensive, no wonder everyone keeps invading you!"
Also the Doctor: *writes "go away humans!" On his door*
Think like your enemy.
Never lose your temper in the middle of a door sign.
I mean he's not really being offensive he's not human, he's just telling humans to go away
The Doctor has a pass Humans are indeed annoying lol
...the fact that they are the same version on the Doctor...
"I may have accidentally invented a boyfriend."
"Yeah I did that once and there is no easy way to get rid of an android."
The delivery of this line, holy shit.
I have a feeling 10th was the one responsible for that
Oh so that’s what really happened to Kamelion.
I wonder if he’s talking about Kamelion
5th Doctor has some explaining to do
While he was holding handles
Something about Capaldi saying "London! What a dump." cracks me up every time
It became an inside joke between me and mom lol we use to bully our own city when things get too tough here
Part of me hopes that was just improv from capaldi
Capaldi getting the chance to do the “bigger on the inside” bit was so fun
Right?! It's like... is it the Doctor or is it a man who wished to be the Doctor's companion since childhood?
that whole special was a lot of fun, probably one of my favourites
Knowing he was a doctor who fan as a kid, it really does sound like a dream come true for him.
The doctor doing the reaction he wants people to have 😂😂 cmon he just wants someone to be blown away like that
the monk crossing himself after the doctor says "It's a women" Is absolutely fantastic
(5:36)
"No"
gestures at the tardis
"This is impressive"
gestures at Clara
"this is annoying"
Probably the best line in Capaldi's whole tenure.
Also sums up my feeling on Clara.
Along with "that's right, she's my carer. She cares so I don't have too".
@@Barrys_Channel seriously
"best line in Capaldi's whole tenure" now there is a controversial statement if I ever heard one
@@jthowardhe’s got so many good lines it’s hard to choose
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!"
"nooo! i'm inside a dalek!"
one of the best interactions in Capaldi's tenure 😭
For me him telling the Daleks they all had this one nightmare was the cherry on top of the cake
12th showing up on a war tank and an electric guitar in hands to a medieval axe fight is the advanced version of taking a gun to a sword fight
Well, it’s called an *axe* fight for a reason
That is 100x more overkill than that
I mean, to be fair the tank wasn't loaded.
9: not a father figure, more like an. Vietnam surviving uncle.
10: dorky dork being extremely dorky
11: a child in a VERY old body.
12: "local old man came to a gun fight with words. And won."
13: wait... who am I again?
correction: An old man acting like a child in an old body that looks like a child
10: A lonely god who pretends to be a dork so he could belong
9 is more like a war survivor that is sassy.
Best description of twelve
11: space gandalf
The real Dr who out of context is Rasputin dancing to Rasputin in front of cybermen and darleks
I'm sorry that crossed a line
Specifically when the Dalek and Cyberman look at eachother and a laser is shot into space, that long with I can't decide and the master wheeling old 10 around
I'm sorry
but there was never any context to begin with for that one
@@X08-Chill Actually the Old version of ten 100 years in the future.... then shrinks when he gets even older.
He's already over 900 at that point, what's another 100 years or more.
For example look how long it took 12 / 14 to break through the ice.
Of course he re-enters in the same condition he originally entered the Confession Dial.
Though when he exits the entire span of thousands of years would catch up and yet it doesn't shrink or look old and withered.
So yes Old 10 / 11 (Tennant) is completely out of context, the same with old 11 / 13 (M. Smith). However it certainly was a great finale.
Especially when The Master was listening to "I can't decide" Song
@@worldofsurspherea5187 why would time catch up to 12 when he breaks the ice? if that's the case, the same thing should be happening at all times when the Doctor and co. time travel, especially if they use a vortex manipulator
15:16 "You can't just steal a TAR... a box"
Funny, Doctor, you did
He can, you can’t. He’s the only one allowed to steal TARDISes, that’s his trademark
Ah yes. 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙗𝙤𝙭
He didn't though he stole an amorphis blob that became a rock that then became a police box in one of the very first episodes with he and his granddaughter in the very very first incarnation of OG classic series and when they went from London (or Cardiff??) To an alien planet the Tardis as police box was then damaged on transit never to repair to its ability to shift shape. That's why it is iconocly a police box. #biggestwhofanever
He didn't steal A Tardis... he stole TWO. Also the first one stole him back. Remember? Do you remember when the Tardis bit the doctor?
That’s the joke
"You were privileged to witness the marvelous APPARATING MAN! ... _lady!_ ... APPARATING LADY! _Every time!_ "
One of the best lines of Jodie's tenure to be honest.
"I am Scottish, I am Scottish, I am... Scottish... I can really complain about things now!" had me dead
I like the way he says "I'd probably blame the English"
I love how the homeless man is staring at him in terror
I love how Doctor Who, from these clips, just looks like the maddest show in existence. What I love more, is the fact that it is, and this is only the tip of the iceberg.
Like how Capaldi only realised he was Scottish upon the line about his eyebrows wanting independence lol
"Im the doctor, just accept it" might be my favorite line.
"Admit it, youve all had this exact nightmare" is a close second
but how can you beat "Anyone for dodgems?"
Said within moments of each other too.
Massively underrated 2 parter
1:50 You can tell the Doctor is a being from a society with mind bogglingly advanced technology because he can take off a high top converse with one smooth motion, sock and all.
Either that, or we must come to the horrifying comprehension that he doesn't wear socks in his converse
@@maritiarty71no I think I see the sock
It didn't even take him ten minutes
"Let us mourn it with a traditional ballad" gets me EVERY time, without fail.
“Sorreh. Half an hour ago, I was a white-haired Scotsman. When’s the next train due?”
_Just another day in Yorkshire_
What's happening in Yorkshire?
@@АртемПістунов Sheffield beset by three potentially hostile alien menaces in c.2018. Two of the entities besiege a train: one crashes in through the front window, the other falls straight through a carriage roof from several hundred kilometres in the air above, after being flung from her severely-damaged ship.
_Just another day in Yorkshire_
I suppose aliens like Yorkshire.
@@АртемПістунов And London. And Cardiff. And Leadworth. You get the idea. 😁
Well according to Broke cannon: we didn't do anything. Our race was created by sylurians, America has a Silence conspyrasy, the Doctor is an alien, the bloody Jagrafes also made some stuff. Did I mention the Daleks, also the master. Practically the Earth's history is just a big alien colab!
6:47 The fact that David was able to say this with a straight face really amazes me. I don’t wanna know how many takes this must have taken him
That was him improvising so they’d have footage to speed up. So was the “don’t eat pears” line. Idk how the don’t eat pears line somehow became canon.
@@skykrasher4475 I see. That's cool
@@skykrasher4475 Someone posted that section without the rest of the video and people assumed it was part of the episode.
Because it's not part of the script lmao, that's just to make it look like he's talking without audio.
@@skykrasher4475it was in the Regeneration in Twice Upon A Time. Among many things said to his next incarnation, he said "and never ever eat pears!"
"Look at me I'm a target!" Is the oldest trick in the book!
Also, "don't be lasagna" is surprisingly good life advice
I put "Don't be lasagna" for my senior quote
Sadly the cows can’t read life advice and they make up 90% of the lasagna
@@redwiltshire1816 *shaking* whats the other 10%????
@@thebean297cheese and pasta
@@GhostKingDeAngelo And that's just the remaining 9%.
Davros: I am dying, Doctor.
Doctor: you keep saying that, you keep not dying, can you give it some welly?
Incredibly underrated line.
Davros said it a lot in Classic Who was as well.
“What’s browser history” made me fall out of my chair laughing
Man I love Missy
The “hey Missy you so fine” moment wasn’t even in the script it was just done in the moment by Gomez, knowing that just makes it so much better.
the fact 11 accidently made himself an android boyfriend
That's The Master from Scream of The Shalka lmao
(2:53)
You mean 13 or the war doctor or 10 or is he 14 or is he a girl
@@PZY.Studios what?
@@StarryPuppeteer David tennet tenicly doctor 11 and 12 cause he regenerated once into himself before matt smith then he's 14 but that makes the war doctor the real 9 making matt smith 13 and Peter capaldi a girl I think
I love how the fez explosion is unconvincing. It's not a bug, it's a feature.
I love when 12 is parodying how people reacted to Tardis being bigger on the inside xdd
-What are you gonna do moisturize me?
-With acid
It's actually kinda funny that 13 forgets she's female on occasion. It makes sense, as The Doctor still isn't quite used to it, and 13 seems to be a bit loopy most of the time.
No they’ve been a woman before as indicated by the episode that shall not be named according to that they were originally female so it made sense until it didn’t
@@pufferfancyfishYeah but amnesia or whatever
@@spriteking3944 I wish I had amnesia to forget that episode
Being a bit loopy is not a trait exclusive to 13
@@pufferfancyfishdidn't they establish she had no memory?
jackie's such an iconic character to say "i'm gonna get killed by a christmas tree!"
The Doctor is arguably the most intelligent being in the universe but he doesn't know how to set his browser to Incognito mode.
One of my favorites comes from the classic era. Specifically, it comes from the Fourth Doctor in the serial "Genesis of the Daleks": he walks up to a guard and says, "Excuse me, can you help me? I'm a spy."
I can’t believe I forgot about that part! I freaking love the 4th Doctor 😂
In "The Brain of Morbius" Tom Baker's Doctor knocks on a castle door while standing in the pouring rain. When the door opens, he asks for a glass of water!
I have the feeling a clip reel of out-of-context classic Doctor Who would involve a LOT of Tom Baker!
Lol imma go watch classic who now
@7:31 I just noticed her head doesn't move *at all* while she is running, it's hilarious and I can't unsee it now
She’s gyroscopically stabilized.
@@Wertsir is that one of the abilities of the slitheen?
OMG you’re right
Omg lol
12's entire spiel at 16:34 has the same energy as when 10 was pretending to be shocked that he was meeting an alien on the moon (in the episode he first met Martha)
My favorite part is how he looks directly into the camera when he says "I've always wanted to see that done properly"
River should have known that it was the doctor at that exact moment lmao
I love the way that even with context these are still insanely funny moments because of how random they are
i LOVED Capaldi as the doctor. so much sass buried under grump
I genuinely want to know what it’s like to watch this without the context.
Sadly the best you've got is someone who hasn't watched it but sometimes my parents put it on when I was little and now that I want to it's on a bottom 3 streaming service or >$300 for just the revived seasons
The video's really funny
i have literally 0 context and its honestly really funny.
@@coyraig8332 the shows are on Max (fka HBO Max) if that helps. The newer seasons, not the originals
I've never seen anything doctor who related before and this was a truly wild experience
It's lovely, thanks ❤
"Are you out of your mind" - "No, I'm inside a Dalek"
still gets me every time
I love that Capaldi mentions Tennants hatred of eating pears.
Love the look River gives Amy when the Doctor has a fez. It just screams "Mom help"
"bingle bongle dingle dangle yickidi do yickidi dah ping pong lippy tappy tuta" genius
i love how like a fourth of this is from Love and Monsters. It was quite literally the most RANDOM episode with zero context.
I don't think I ever appreciated how intentionally campy this show is. When I was a kid I thought it was cool and when I realized it wasn't I thought it was lame. Growing up is realizing they knew exactly what they were making.
This is the greatest thing I’ve seen today
Thank you! 💕
1:00 that was some mother-daughter teamwork right there.
"Garbage Dispoasal right? Get ready to say weeee" Has me rolling on the floor nearly dying to lauther every time.
"Is it an evil spirit?"
"It's a woman"
*Gestures a cross in terror.*
Absolutely incredible interaction haha, even with context it's not much different ;P
For some reason the squeaky toy from Return of Doctor Mysterio is HYSTERICAL. It can literally make me fall on the floor with tears streaming down my face.
The expression on 12’s face just makes it even better.
That’s a squeaky toy? I thought it was a squishy glass of screaming hair
I'm glad to see someone else who appreciates the "eat my salad" guy
As someone who’s never watched doctor who, I’m thoroughly confused.
Good
even having watched, it's still a doozy but i love it nonetheless
To quote the seventh Doctor "Never mind, I'll have him completely bewildered by the time I'm finished."
Welcome
Trust us
Context doesn't make it much better
"Oh, this the Oval Office... I was looking for the... Oblong." Thank you, Moffat, for the Discworld reference.
I love how Sarcastic Capaldi sounds at 16:37. He sounds like the Doctor Who fan who is so tired of hearing the same 5 words every single time someone enters the TARDIS for the first time
im genuinely so glad another person finds the cassandra playing toxic scene amusing because it’s just so unserious 😭😭
13:17 the master is a lot less threatening with no music over his laughter
That scene is like a Limmy sketch
@@adamcummings20 which one?
@Dalek_Scientist "you can't be serious Geoff, c'mon...!!"
I think the ‘it’s a woman’ line followed by the guy crossing himself might be one of my all-time favorite bits in the whole show

"Yeah, my carer. She cares so I don't have to."
My favourite quote from my favourite Doctor.
"She's climbin' out the window, isn't she?"
*utter defeat* "Yes, she is."
I quote "London! What a dump!" to this day. Just swap out London for whatever place you wanna insult and go for it, lol
Definitely doing this.

12:03 “What’s browser history?”
Watching aliens commemorate the death of earth with Toxic playing in the background irreparably altered my brain chemistry as a kid
I was considering watching 12s seasons and this gave me insight on how stubborn and hilarious he is. The 10 and 11 scenes are just as great. Loved spending 18 minutes watching this, 10/11.
I still get emotional when he says humany-wumany
(7:19)
0:16 the most “out of context” thing DW has ever produced
The many Masters laughing with no music is just so awkward😂
The tea one is my absolute favourite. When I saw tea I immediately thought how could he get it, and he says THIS. Very doctory.
I like how missy is the only "good" version of the master. Because it was right after the 10th doctor and the master connected over what the high council did to the master and how the doctor was just trying to help. And when veing "good" didnt work and she died she went strighr back to evil
Missy was awesome
Damn Peter really nailed the role of the doctor. Really reminds me of the first doctor
2:26 brutal honesty. My favorite
LOOKATMEIMATARGET and 12 introducing the word “dude” always kills me
13:16 This scene without music is kind of terrifying
1:42 is and always will be my favorite Doctor Who moment ever. The first time I saw that, it had me on the damn floor!!! 🤣🤣🤣💀
yaa it was my 1st episode ever
BAREFOOT ON THE MOON
David must have love it a lot too because he does a similair scene in "Good Omens" 😂
The scene with the many masters was cut just before one of them threw his hat, and another picked it up, put it on, and danced around. When I noticed that during my rewatch, I was honestly quite impressed! They decided to include that little bit of editing magic most people wouldn't notice anyways, and it's pretty damn cool
'Are you out of your mind?!'
'No, I'm inside a Dalek!'
I love Capaldi 😂

The 10th doctor: IT'S CACTI 🤓
The alien: THATS RACIST!

12th doctor: get ready to say wEeE!

I really like - well, a lot of part of this. Just s short list for the most relevant ones:
1.) 2:35 , the part where Missy says:
" - Anachronisms. The slightest, tiniest...
*The doctor rides in a tank into a medeival fighting arena, while playing an electric guitar.*
- ... Anachronisms."
And the part at 5:35 :
- It's an angry spirit...
- It's a woman.
*The priest just cross oneself, while visible more frightened, than when it believed, it was a spirit.*
Also, the Crop Circle at 6:51 .
Jack's reaction just after 15:58 .
17:29
" - Don't look up my browser history." - Well, after that, how could resist?
Also, immediately after that:
" - Pond flirting with herself. True love at last... Oh, sorry Rory." ( I miss the answer - "Absolutely no problem." though.)
"You're not matin' with _me,_ sunshine!" broke me. Her delivery is *_ON POINT!_* 🤣😂
I love the doctor pretending to react tot the Tardis. He's having so much fun with that
90% of these aren’t any less ridiculous in context
12 'discovering' the TARDIS might be one of my favourite scenes in the whole show
3:18 the oblong office, I wonder if this means the Doctor has been to Discworld. I think he'd have a great dynamic with Vetinary.
Nobody:
Absolutely genuinely no one:
Missy: *AE-N-AE-K-R-O-N-I-Z-M-Z*
She's perfect
Still never gonna get over Peter Capaldi getting to do the "Bigger On The Inside" reaction *as the Doctor* and *as an actor who is a massive DW nerd IRL*. Like, he probably has actually wanted to see and/or do a reaction like that forever. I wouldn't be surprised if he had significant input on the lines for that bit.
Also, the entire time he spent in Davros' chair.
I have never seen an ounce of doctor who but this made me want to. The clip at 0:05 was so funny
“Admit it… you’ve all had this exact nightmare” is so good
