I've had my PSVR2 for 3/4 months now and loving it just wish I had more time to play it! Looking forward to Soul Covenant hoping it's not just an Arena fighter.;).

Glad to hear it's still drawing you in after a year. That's a very good sign that they got it right.

      100%!
So far it definitely seems like they understood the target demographic and are delivering for them

    A) you can define the play space bigger than it PsVR2 recognises and make sure you can play room scale at your own risk.
    B) you absolutely can use the sense controllers while they’re charging. I’m using wrist-strapped battery packs to extend play time beyond 4 hours.

really glad you've joined VR family and enjoying this sphere! Sadly it is as nieche as a cloud gaming. And it is a great too!
I don't hope that VR will boom that everyone will wear it, but I wish it a long life! It is incredible powerful experience, yet so natural compared to standard video games!
Happy VR journey! PSVR 2 indeed is a good headset

People starting ro realise just how great the PSVR2 really is, I've owned it since launch and had the most amazing VR experiences ever, and there's more to come.

I mean no disrespect saying this but, 4 hours is more than enough for 95 percent of people, they charge usb c anyway so there at 100 percent in 30 min so just take a 30 min break every 4 hours lol. I heavily disagree with that argument

Awesome job, pretty much covered it all.Leaning towards it instead of the Quest 3, just for the haptic feedback Kayak and :D

      Thank you so much!
I've loved it and so has everyone who has tried mine. I'm hoping if you do get one you'll enjoy it too

Just make your play space bigger manually in headset and set the boundary sensitivity to the highest setting. I do this all the time if playing in too small of a space and the game requires room scale.

I want to VR that room scale issue scares me tho, i barley have space as is, great review a year out, PSVR 2 I wish I had one, Altho room scale and wires are big offsets for me,

    • @Doragon86
      @Doragon86  5 місяців тому +1

Totally understand both concerns! The wire 98% of the time I forget, it is 4 metres long after all, but the room scale is very annoying

I currently use an old wired occulus rift headset and I agree the cable is not a biggie, but sometimes annoying.
Currently looking for an upgrade and I was weighing the pros and cons of available systems.
My available VR space is about 2,5x3m and by the looks about the same as in the video. Never had problems with the old set and was surprised the PS VR doesn't have the standard guardian area system.
So yeah, the room scale thing possibly screwing things up bothers me a lot, and I think I'll pass on the PS VR2 even if I loved my old clunky buggy PS VR one.

I have 2.2 Metres x 5 Metres available, I think if you have that half metre to spare you should be good

I've neve had controllers lose tracking on my quest 3. You also get asgard wrath with the 128gb model. Also, MOST games are NOT that large, compared to assassins creed and asgards wrath, on the quest. If you record videos of your gameplay you may start to have issues with storage. It's definitely low, but its not the end of the world.

The meta quest is a match more than the Pimax or the Applie vision pro.

  • @blenderalien

You chose the Pimax Crystal and Apple vision pro to conpare the PSVR to because they are similar in features and experience?
Sorry but these 3 HMD's could not be more different in every way possible.
A much better comparison is the Quest 2 and 3

I specifically mentioned the words "on paper" for that comparison, the same way that on paper the PS5 can do Ray Tracing just like a PC with a 4090 installed. While the paper specs match the delivery is different and drastically changes the experience, but that paper comparison is all most buyers have to make a decision from.
I did also compare to the Quest 3 as you likely saw for a more cost appropriate comparison. I hope this clarifies the situation for you
