New subscriber here-- e64-- when the car is sitting in garage i hear electrical things, sounds like a pump priming. Every time i install a new battery it gets drained and killed. I have ista d, inpa, and ncs but have never used. Also my steering wheel paddles stopped working and my passenger seat won't move electronically anymore. How can i use those softwares to diagnose the battery draw and identify and fix this stuff? What video do i need to watch or what do i need to read?

INPA is not third party software. It is used on cascade-computers at BMW production lines to build the cars. It has an own interpreter were you can write complete individualized own programs for this software with scripts, to program and make different tests after ECU's were built in, for them as example.

hi, gr8 vid, -but this bmw d-kan impa icom cable stuff is mind bogglingly hard to get your head around---can i ask, what cable and software do i need to re calibrate/adjust the rear air suspension on my bmw e39-525d-touring-2001 ?. i put 2 new rear air bags on my car because i had a self levelling warning light on my dash, the driver side suspension was and still is down a bit compared to the passenger side, i think it needs calibrating to make both sides the same, hopefully then the warning light might go off!!!?. the cars computers wont do it by itself, although the air suspension does work, its just the driver side is down a bit. do u know what cable i need and what software, impa or ista or?. thanks so much, dave uk

Hey, thanks for uploading the very helpful. Unfortunately i have an issue with my 2007 X5 E70, i have the flashing PDC light (But no sound), i have no warnings from the sensors at all. I have already changed the PDC module, but no joy. Ive checked all the sensors and none of them are clicking and giving any sign of life? I have also ran a scan and it came back with - PDC fault code 9E3B ( supply voltage to parking aid sensors, short circuit to ground, permanent) Do you have any advice? Cheers
Any idea why am I having trouble reading a 2004 E87 through INPA while the same cable and computer setup is fine reading 1999 E46, 2005 E46, 2000 E38 and 2002 E53? I can read this E87 only using ISTA. Same with PA Soft. What is different with E87 that only ISTA reads it?

When im on that screen showing battery and ignition bubbles. The ignition is flickering while the battery is solid in my car I notice your battery and ignition are solid. Is my ignition switch bad? 02 mini cooper?? My car Cranks but wont start. Only starts a few seconds on starting fluid.... No injector pulse i think i have fuel pressure... EWS fault is what im getting

I have a k+Dcan cable (is that wrong for f30) I also bought an enet cable but don't know how to get that working? Any pointers please buddy. also mine is all in German. cheers!

It USED to be free but what you get online is the oldest versions never updated it’s one specific version that people sent out and it’s free and doesn’t work properly if you want proper language that works with your car you need to pay that’s how it works this is a problem everyone has all the time with freeware Bmw software is not free if it’s free it won’t work I provide the correct level software test after year updated And no you do not need to use e cable for your f series at all

Friends, I think I did a wrong reset. When I locked the vehicle with the remote and got off, it took about 5 minutes. It doesn't open with the remote. Open with the key. After that, the remote unlocking is activated. And only the frame lights of the radio are on.
I do not believe so if you have e46 the led lights should work without problem and don’t need coding BUT you can use ncs expert for coding and if you have inpa im sure you will have ncs expert aswell
@@BMWDoctor yes i do i need to code brake lights on my e90 n52 2006 i made it look like an m3 and the led i will installing are amazing. With ncs expert is it hard or like whatever but i know it takes patience to do. Since im a tech myself. Its all about coding and programming.

Yep it can do mini depending on who you get it from I would use ista for mini as it’s more accurate Inpa is mostly for bmw but ista is what dealers use and can do all I can provide it if need be
Yes it will only if you know how to confiure it as its different for every windows the way i have it set is fkr windows proffesional but windows 8 and up are all different setups are you installing this yourself
@@BMWDoctor Yes but I also have Windows 98, Windows XP Pro, and Windows ME and Windows 7 Home Premium but cant install them due to the laptop being a bit older and the bios isn't setup for running non SATA drives. Which ironically came installed with Windows Vista and those HD's. Now after a format I'm sorta stuck at Windows 98 and no way to install XP or 7 Pro without somehow finding a bios update for a VAIO laptop that Sony no longer makes or supports. Ughhh
Great info but you talk so damn fast, you know the software but someone else who doesnt, its hard to follow along if your just clicking it so fast and not describing what your doing, and im an IT instructor. Again good info but for the love of god slow down...
So this software is a pain in the ass! Its complicated to just install it on your computer. I eventually got installed on my laptop and was exited to see what was wrong with my e46. If your an engineer for BMW using this program wouldn't be that difficult. Everything is abbreviated and in German, now it does show the F options in English. So you know what your testing but have not a clue on what the results of the tests are. I figured it was going to be difficult to use, but because according to people online you can do almost everything with this.. I beg to differ you cant really do much unless you can read German. I couldnt even check the error code on my car.. I was able to clear it, but not actually see what the code was for. So in a way your actually going backwards with this shit.. I have a shit obd2 scanner and that tells me more information than this. But I wont be a party pooper, maybe you'll be able to do what people say you could on your car. I have INPA but it doesn't have E82 listed anywhere in there. Is there a way to add it or can I use another chassis that is compatible with the e82?

It USED to be free but what you get online is the oldest versions never updated it’s one specific version that people sent out and it’s free and doesn’t work properly if you want proper language that works with your car you need to pay that’s how it works this is a problem everyone has all the time with freeware
Bmw software is not free if it’s free it won’t work
I provide the correct level software test after year updated
And no you do not need to use e cable for your f series at all

Friends, I think I did a wrong reset. When I locked the vehicle with the remote and got off, it took about 5 minutes. It doesn't open with the remote. Open with the key. After that, the remote unlocking is activated. And only the frame lights of the radio are on.
Why does it not show models in my impa? I have Version 5.

Is it possible to use bmw inpa to code my lights like brake lights so i can use led bulbs?
I do not believe so if you have e46 the led lights should work without problem and don’t need coding BUT you can use ncs expert for coding and if you have inpa im sure you will have ncs expert aswell
@@BMWDoctor yes i do i need to code brake lights on my e90 n52 2006 i made it look like an m3 and the led i will installing are amazing. With ncs expert is it hard or like whatever but i know it takes patience to do. Since im a tech myself. Its all about coding and programming.

Yep it can do mini depending on who you get it from I would use ista for mini as it’s more accurate Inpa is mostly for bmw but ista is what dealers use and can do all I can provide it if need be

Yes it will only if you know how to confiure it as its different for every windows the way i have it set is fkr windows proffesional but windows 8 and up are all different setups are you installing this yourself
@@BMWDoctor Yes but I also have Windows 98, Windows XP Pro, and Windows ME and Windows 7 Home Premium but cant install them due to the laptop being a bit older and the bios isn't setup for running non SATA drives. Which ironically came installed with Windows Vista and those HD's. Now after a format I'm sorta stuck at Windows 98 and no way to install XP or 7 Pro without somehow finding a bios update for a VAIO laptop that Sony no longer makes or supports. Ughhh
Well mate time to invest in a newer laptop windows 10 model

So this software is a pain in the ass! Its complicated to just install it on your computer. I eventually got installed on my laptop and was exited to see what was wrong with my e46. If your an engineer for BMW using this program wouldn't be that difficult. Everything is abbreviated and in German, now it does show the F options in English. So you know what your testing but have not a clue on what the results of the tests are. I figured it was going to be difficult to use, but because according to people online you can do almost everything with this.. I beg to differ you cant really do much unless you can read German. I couldnt even check the error code on my car.. I was able to clear it, but not actually see what the code was for. So in a way your actually going backwards with this shit.. I have a shit obd2 scanner and that tells me more information than this. But I wont be a party pooper, maybe you'll be able to do what people say you could on your car.
