Thanks, Dean. I had a 2016 US model 320i F20 as one of our test cars for tuning. In the sun I can see in certain angles on the dash the late departure assist and other features that were disabled, embedded in there similar to my 335i's other features that I didn't know were so simple to upgrade. I wish I would have known this then. This would be a no-brainer. At least the tuning upgrade worked great and it was making 328i+ performance numbers with very little effort. Another oddity about the 320i is that it has slightly less sound-deadening material than the 328i. So they cut corners in odd ways. It was lighter with higher compression, so dialing up the boost and fueling on that N20 made it a really fun car, especially with a 6-speed manual. I kept all OEM badges and upset a lot of people :) Ultimate Sleeper.
I agree. it’s all very clickbaity, but at least some useful info. LOL in this video, that plug is what 2 or 3 wires, it can’t be the interface to the driving assistant panel or module. Besides, you wont have parking the physical sensors even if you this plug
I agree this was a clickbait video. About 60 seconds of useful info (where this connector is, and what it is used for). The video would have been useful if he provided the part number for the module that plugs into the cable, and showed how to install it and code the new functions.
I think you would need more than the module and the vibration steering wheel , so for example the Kafas camera to detect the road lines, the module can not work without it. Am I right? Thanks a lot for the vídeo.

nothings going to work just by attaching the control panel to the wiring loom & coding it all in, you'll need all the sensors & necessary brackets/panelling to fit such parts... I'd have also thought that cutting the current interior trim out would also lead to some possible vibration, ie an oem or aftermarket panel with such control unit cut-out already in place wouldn't just be a cut-out slot, but have re-enforcement's/attachment points for the control unit to fit snug..
My only question.. can you tap into this for power? I'm thinking about an easy place to wire up for a dashcam. I've already tapped into my rear view mirror.

Hello, does the bmw i3 pre facelift 2016 have the same thing?
Ok u said the wire harnesses are basically the same so my question is, are they the same for the idrive system in a 2011 e90 and a 2011 f10? Cause I’m wanting to install a unit to my e90 but they don’t do a unit for the dash idrive and I’m happy to retro fit it but can find out if the wiring harness is going to work
If that plug isn't there can I buy and install to retrofit assist pkg?
Hi mate i hope you have a great time. I have a proplem with my e38 1999 when I switch the light key the cluster lights for 5s then the light on the cluster disappears . Any idea 💡

I have a 2013 328i had a knuckle brake and rip the wire above the plug to the firewall is there a harness that I can trace back to with new wires?
Is this applicable to my 2015 bmw 428i gran coupe????

Have you found a spare plug in the Mini S/JCW r56 LCI model?
Hi! You say that BMW use the same wire loom for all cars (of a model I suppose). I'm asking this because Iwant to retrofit foglights on a X3 G01 and I don't know if I already have the wire loom for them. What do you think about this?
Does this also apply to r56 mini? Not 100%bmw yet, but…?
What causes black and white smoke to come out of the exhaust?

Hi Dean; I just came upon this video and am intrigued about a driver assist retrofit. What is necessary to do the retrofit on a 2012 F01 750i M Sport?
Can you make a video on the extra connection looms in the trunk?
