Idk if it was just me but the camera getting blurry added a nice touch because it’s like as you got tired and started feeling it we could see that and it put us there
Congratulations Ryan! We missed each other at Jedquarters, but your amazing crew took care of me after I finished the 100k. I'm so thankful to them. Best baby wipes EVER!!
Another time when my social media collides! Love it when people like Jubilee, Sage, and Walmsley show up in your videos! And I think you showed up in Sage's video! Gotta love the ultramarathon community! They are so friendly and welcoming. Congratulations Ryan!
So true, such a great community, and it really shined bright during Javelina. I've never seen so much love and support from other runners. Thanks for watching!
You have the best personality. I thoroughly enjoyed your videos. This is my first visit to your channel. If I were running/walking with you, I would never quit. You are the most entertaining person I've seen during an ultra race
Nothing motivates me more to get out of bed early and do my morning run. I need one video like this every day for the rest of my life 😄 Thank you so much!
Thanks Jesse, 70 miles is about where it all hit me as well. What an incredible day, right? Hope you get another shot at it next year, I hope to be back as well.
We all hve problems in life.. But ur videos taught me one thing.. Even if its too dark.. No way to find light... Keep. Smiling... Keep. Pushing one leg before another.. And ull reach ur goal THANK. U FOR MAKING MY DAY RESPECT FROM INDIA
Speechless. It's so crazy people can do this. I've been running for a few years. Did one 50k last year and it was about the death of me. The idea of 100 miles is terrifying. Ran my fourth marathon last month and I know my body couldn't handle nearly 4 of those. You're incredible and the way you were so positive despite the pain is very inspirational. I don't see myself ever doing this but it has inspired me to keep pushing.
Thanks for watching, appreciate the kind words. Any running is good running, no matter the distance. This was a huge challenge for me, very glad I did it. Good luck with all your marathons!
You really inspired me with this one man (like you do with all your other vids) I've been running for a number of years and once had the ideas of running an ultra (eventually a 100mi) but bicycle touring took over the last couple of years. This year I got hooked on trail running (esp in AZ) and have been pushing it. I think this is the race to run my 1st 100mi at. You showed me that it's possible. Thanks, brother.
Thanks Kimberly!!! So fun seeing you there, it made such a difference to have support. Also, I hear you were the only one able to open and close my hydration bladder :) Thanks for your help!
Wow!!! This was such a great video. Really appreciate you telling your story and major congrats on finishing this race! I tend to stick to shorter runs, but this was very inspirational. Just subbed!
Thanks Jordan for the sub, appreciate it! I usually run shorter races too, but wanted to give this one a shot. Look on my channel for my video series about the Caballo Blanco race in Mexico, it's pretty cool! Have a great day
Wow. wow. wow. I really felt like I was there with you, especially with your camera going crazy as the race got harder and harder. SO inspirational. I'm definitely a proud member of #teamduzer!
Oh man, that was huge! I enjoyed watching it so much, and the part where the camera started failing in sync with your body - you just can't make this stuff up! I almost cried towards the end.
I feel you on the hugs giving you the most energy. At my first 50K, i hit some low points. Hugs from a friend who was at all the aid stations were life-giving.
Your attitude is infectious brotha! I just finished my first Ironman a month ago and am gonna start training for a 50 miler. Keep up the energy and good work my friend! :)
Wow. Congratulations on finishing! I would imagine that this would be easier than the Caballo Blanco race because at least this race was on flat land. Awesome support team btw.
Waiting for the 2018 video! Hope you had a strong finish, saw you right before you were going out for your 4th loop and then I started out my 3rd loop of the 100k walking with your friend Dana who was looking for a certain cactus :-) It was very cool moment!
Congrats man your so inspirational . thats amazing that you ran 100 miles and you kept pushing that's is an incredibly achievement thanks for the awesome video
I've done a 50 miler in 10.5 hrs.. felt great and now training for my first 100.... we'll see how that goes. Need some good vibes. Thanks for the inspiration.
So rad! I just signed up for 2020!! Someone told me you did this and I'm here watching. I AM SO PSYCHED :) I imagine this will be my first attempt of many.
Wow. I'm a cyclists who got into running and have been training for my first marathon. It's been a hard process marred by some injuries, and this is totally inspirational.
Well Done, great work, I have a 145 miler in just 2 months, i seem to be ok with 100 miles but this is my fourth attempt at this event in the UK, Known as the GUCR ( Grand Union Canal Race) :)
I love 100's they are just right, I have a few friends that have done the 145, and say that the first 100 not so bad it's the next 45 hahaha, If I get this done this year, the plan is for the TR250 ( Thames Ring 250 miler) next year, love your channel by the way, keep up the fun and good times, I will be watching :) I will follow you on Insta, my tag is a long one, ianthe vegantattooedultrarunner, I've managed to use every letter but it describes me perfect lol!
This video is really well done! I wish I would have met you on the course, but looks like you were always slightly ahead of me. You beat me by 8 minutes.
awesome job man, I was running right around you guys for awhile for most of the first loop, I had a lime green Zane Grey Shirt on. Cool video, congrats.
Hey Ryan!!! Just come across this as I have started ultra running and as someone who has beaten the battle with booze there is NO WAY I would have been able to put in the work being hungover every day!! Hope you are well brother!
This is truly inspirational, I can't believe how you managed to smile through out the race. I am doing my first 100k this year at the Javelina. Hope I can make it through. All the best for your future races. Keep being awesome.
Fast enough to basically win the Krissy field 24 hour race. Lions spent 4 hours going 9 miles, back at mile 50 & called it quits after 62 miles. Pawwear is real important.
I never knew people did things like this, if your all doing it there then there must be tens of thousands of people around the world doing it, words fail me they really do, the human body and spirit is so bloody amazing. Now old chap you have my permission to put your cap on and go home early, So bloody amazing, or if you like 'Bro awesome'

Duzer you're the Dozer! 100 miles through the desert, filled with Rattlers, tons of peanut M&M's, and awesome, like minded people! Duzer you're the Dozer! 100 miles through the desert, filled with Rattlers, tons of peanut M&M's, and awesome, like minded people! What more could you ask for besides an occasional golf cart ride to the next Aid station! 😂
Great video and awesome music, Duz.
I was on my training rollers while watching your video, Duzer. You made me want to roll off my training rollers and ride until I found some sunshine.
I live in Michigan and we hardly get any sun during Winter.
It's so bad, I decided to purchase a Fat Tire bike. This way I can ride in the slush, snow, backwoods trails and beyond! Michigan Winter is tough, but not when your Fat boying it!
At mile 60, you mentioned you were nauseous. Did you know eating avacadoes slows your metabolism/digestion. That spells disaster, Duzer, especially when you were eating all the other foods along with avacadoe. You had a belly filled with undigested pickles, M&M's, Ginger and whatever else you shoved into it. They had nowhere to go! 😩
Keep up the awesome videos. You're an awesome inspiration to all of us!
