I used to think that running 100 miles was insane. Now after doing it a few times, I still think that it’s insane, ha! Even though it’s extremely difficult, I cherish my long days running in circles under the sun and moon. Anyone out there gonna try this distance sometime?
Congratulations 🎉 on your run! I ran an unexpected 50K yesterday when a bunch of us missed a turn on a trail marathon, not nearly 100 miles but my longest run so far!
I been running marathons for the past five years and start increasing distances, did a 50k on trail this year and love it. Next year 65k at Harricana, look at it, it's a world class event in Charlevois, Quebec, there's a 125k for you !
I'm going to be signing up for High Lonesome 100 tomorrow. If that falls through then I'm going to try to get into Wasatch 100. We will see what happens! Congrats on your finish! Awesome race. You should be proud of that time!
Dude, YES! I remember seeing you out there and specifically remember you jumping out and scaring that poor lady! That's me at 7:57 in the green shirt. Great video.
Great job Ryan and Xanthe! Those 49 secs are just gifts from the trail and are no reflection on your self worth. Thanks for bringing us along for the journey. 💪
Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who supported me in watching this exhausting yet inspiring video. I could not have done it without you! ~ armchair admirer of Ryan and everyone who actually runs the Javelina!
Finished my second ever marathon yesterday in 5 degrees celcius and rain in Stockholm. Today my legs are hurting.. 4 times that distance, I'm impressed. Nice work and as always thanks for sharing your adventures!!!
Amazing, love the party atmosphere of this one. Would love to try this at some point. Only started running a month ago so a long way to go, first up is a 50km in september.
I love these videos! I love that you stop to chat with others along the way or to show us things. You truly show that is about the adventure and peoples journey along the way and THEN the time. Really love when you compare it to how you felt in previous years and talk about the highs and the lows. Thanks for all you do.
Running 160 km is beyond me. Apart from health problems that limit me to just over a half marathon, I can't imagine running for 20 hours straight. In the cooking hot desert of AZ! Before my back broke down I used to run 30+ km / 3+ hours somewhat regularly. Usually I lost motivation after about 2.5 hours. At that point I kept running because running was the only way to get back home. Doing this almost 10 times longer is not my cup of tee. Much respect for this to you and may thanks to your crew.
Remember Ryan as the saying goes. The race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running. Congrats on finishing the race. Also great support crew.Keep the videos coming. Now go get some rest.🏃🌍✌
Yesterday I pedalled 30 miles on my bike through the leadhills in southern Scotland today I sit in my Taxi cheering you over the finish line huge congratulations to you & xanthe & everyone that took part & well done to your mum & the legend that is Dana what an inspirational lady keep the videos coming buddy & always keep smiling through the pain caves 👏🏻👏🏻🏴🏃🏻♂️🏴🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️🏴🏴👍🏻🏃🏻♂️🏴
Ryan, Amazing the endurance you have. Always knew Xanthe was a beast too, but way to go Dana, you rock! The four of you are amazing role models for keeping fit and enjoying life to its fullest! Keep it up!
Duzer, thanks again for showing an experience that is brutally painful, yet so rewarding. Your friends, Dana and Xantha(?) and, of course, your mom are wonderful to have for support. Keep doing what you do amigo!
I don't know how you do it man. My running dream is to be able to knock out a crazy distance like this. I'm nowhere close. My knees tap me out at just over 10 miles. I don't know if I'm just too big of a human being or what I need to do to get there. I'm in awe of anyone that can do a marathon. Awesome video.
Hey Ryan - congratulations on a great day. I finished in 21.38- so a good bit behind you. I love making videos - really impressed with how you could simultaneously do such a fast time and make this fantastic video. Very impressive. I figure you could break into the low 19s pretty handily - but who cares about time when you get to produce something like this. Well done.
Awesome job! I say you made under 20 hrs by a long shot.....Deduct all the time stopping to show things like cacti, snakes, etc and talking to other runners. Congrats to Xanthe, 52 miles is INCREDIBLE! Especially considering 15 miles was the farthest she had ever ran before.
This is awesome. I watched your first video on Javelina and it was great. I did the 100k race this year. Took a long time to finish, bit worth every minute of it. Keep making these videos which inspires a lot us. You are awesome.
Hi Ryan, That must have been really hard going, I even felt it hear watching it on UA-cam in my own home sitting on my couch, not being lazy ofcourse, but at the same time really enjoyable to watch. Massive thumbs up to you Ryan. From your Scottish friend Brian 🇺🇸👍🏴
GREAT job man, love the vibes!!!! I'll be running my first 100 next summer and I'll film it for my YT also, not sure I'll get the same atmosphere at Javelina though :P
Speechless, what a remarkable achivement, congratulation, dont worry about 20h time limit, its only a number, what really matters is the race itself, all the experieces during that time. Your mom is a wonderfull person. Peace.
About to do my first Ultra Saturday- JFK50. Nervous and excited....your videos help my anxiety. I hope to keep a smile all the way through like you do! Keep it up bro.
Just did my first marathon a couple weeks ago. I kind of, maybe, dream of doing a 100 one day, but I'm also excited to accomplish the other distances leading up to it! 50k next :) Well done Duzer!

Ryan, it is amazing how many cycling and running adventures you do. This is definitely my favorite channel. 100 miles, is insane. Again thanks for bringing us on your journey.
I almost want to get sick so I can go to the make a wish foundation and wish to meet you and your crew. I used to want to wish to drive the UPS truck (I have offered my UPS guy 500 cash to let me drive it around the block but nope) but now I want to meet up with all of you for the pure fun. Disclaimer, I’m to old for the make a wish thing but #GOALS! Also my close friend just did his second 100 miler for the schools 100 mile club. He did it in 23hrs 47 min and was in the hospital after for 4 days with Rabdo. While he was in the hospital he sign up for a 200 miler. Thanks for the vids Dudzer...Hello Dana!
