Rhino 120 Baron von gamez, a WT youtuber who used to play with Phly in the “old days” (5-6 years ago); Phly, Baron and Slickbee even lived togheter for a short period of time and produced a ton of videos together. Unfortunately things didn’t work out; Phly left and some time later Baron suddenly decided to drop WT and focus on other games.
@Adrian I'm not sure if this is how things went down and I don't belive it was ever explained by anyone of them what exactly happened.
Anyway, after the split Baron and Phly never cooperated again... it was quite a sad moment because the three of them togheter were hilarious. But clearly they all had different personalities and a different approach to the game (with Baron being the most "casual", and indeed he gradually abandoned WT shortly after).
@@pincopallino6765 Multiple youtubers that have worked with Baron have split off from him. I think Baron was the main problem actually. Phly and slick knew each other better I suspect, since they used to be almost neighbors. Phly wanted more than just youtube in his life so that's why he couldn't live in a bachelor pad like that. I do wish we could've had more info, but this isn't a drama channel it is a game channel so I'm happy we don't know all the details in a way.

@JOHN GAGE the 17pdr is the strongest TD gun at the BR by far, it can 1 shot KV 1s without thinking about it and has 190mm of pen and a big enough projectile to oneshot near anything with a centre of mass shot and you should probably use the right you're

The main thing about Shrap shells (aside from more fragments) is that they detonate whether they pen or not. If it is an angle detonation (like that first Puma shot) the fragments can still pen. This is useful in trap shot areas because the pen of the fragments is higher than the pen of the main shot.
Wow when he showed that old clip. The memories came back of how the game used to be. When armor actually worked and tiger 2s ruled 6.7 and the is4m was a beast and there were no atgms or heat fs.

The KV-1S is literally my favourite tank in the game. Drives like a medium, average gun, heavy armour. The perfect package...to me.
I prefer it over the zis5 because of the maneuverability of the S and the turret drive speed

Gaijin needs to do something about spawn killing. It shouldn’t ever be a part of any game
The easiest way is to increase the number of spawn points, and let the respawning player pick the one they want. A variation of this is to shut down any cap point that has a enemy player within sight of it and route respawns away from it- and if somehow they cover all your sides spawns, have the computer spawn you in one of their spawns.

Thanks for letting me know just how deadly that shot was, Phly, it was really just a panicked snap-shot - I prefer having a LOT more time to aim. I gotta admit, when I respawned in my Matilda and put about twelve shells into you I was getting pretty frustrated with the continual bouncing! That turret ring was almost impossible for me to hit, I need more practise.

The B1 ter is easy to kill if you know where to shoot it and it has a terrible gun.
There was one time that i was playing with Stug then i saw the B1 and started blasting towards with him doing the same and after a while, i wasted all my ammo and him too. Then an allied killed him
@@airseal8941 It is worth it, especially with the recent addition of the Crusader and the M3A3, because you have a lineup. However, if you are focused on getting the Corsair, do it, because the B1 ter is a recent addition in the warbonds vehicles system. So it will likely be in the warbonds again soon (it was added for the first time in January 2020 and it's the only French tank of the warbonds system).

I used to play the P-40-E a lot when I started out about seven years ago. When china was introduced, I was reunited with it again. First match: 7 kills 25 ground kills in RB. From stock to spade in one match. I took a screen shot and now when I'm sad or raging. I can look at that and smile knowing I always got the P-40 ready for me to fly.

The Russian 3.7 lineup is brutal, you get 2-3 t34s, the kv1, some decent aa vehicles. Havent used the TDs but am looking forward to the su 85.

I've been using the KV-1 Zis-5 lately and it is a beast at 4.3
Also Phly, at that close of a range with the Sherman, you can definitely pen his UFP I think. Of course just aim a bit lower so you have a better angle. Also, somehow I exploded a fuel tank with the Panther’s gun yesterday, strangest thing too because it has so little explosive mass in the round.

I like the Sherman tank with the 105 howitzer I think it's called the HVSS. So I almost never see anybody using it. That explosive round does kind of suck but when you get the heat rounds, it changes

I drive a semi over the road and once I get my gaming PC to hook up to my 38 inch tv I want to start playing. Been watching you for over a year now and figured I'd give it a chance. Now since I'm a try hard I plan on spending enough to get 75k golden eagles, 6 months of premium and maybe a premium tank. Not sure what I can do with that many eagles but whatever game looks fun.

It's probably because all my crews are relatively low level (I jump between countries instead of grinding on one) but your repair times are a lot faster than I've ever seen. Usually pressing F to repair means pressing F to pay respects because it'll be like 45 seconds lol

The Italian tank destroyers at 3.0 have 75mm+ of armour with 75-105mm guns to match them packing HEAT rounds that can do 100mm+ penetrating power easy. Play some of the semovente M43s, they're fun to play if played right
Hey Phly, im pretty sure that you are able to go through the front plate of a sherman because its only like ~80mm angled, and you can pen basically anywhere from 200m and closer

Fhly, L-11 tank gun's shells never bounce when hitting light armor. The shells' ability of angle normalization is a cancer to BR3.0~4.0, they don't care too much of their low pen whether the enemy is angled or not.
I have an idea for your "War Thunder, Its almost fun" shirt. If you write "War Thunder" on the top and "Its almost fun" on the bottom, in the middle there's a sherman getting ammo racked.
I was the m3 in one of these battles hunting down kvs with my 75. You killed me when i was focused on a t34. That was a good game and i got a fair number of kills.

Do kv-1 zis 5 next. It's even better at it's BR ( 4.3 ) especially because you rarely get uptired. 95mm pen with a round with a lot of post pen damage ( one of the best 76's in the game) makes it good at almost anything.

About five months ago, that i watched one of your videos for first time. After watching that, i've said myself: this guy plays war thunder very effective, but he does'nt playing tryhard. And he's a team player too. That's cool! And i've started to watch wt gamwplay first on your channel. Thanks to your videos, i speak english much better than five months ago. And i like the brainfuck too that sometimes is going on in your videos or here in the comments. I love this channel!!
To try and explain the fuel tank bs, I'm pretty sure the protection armored fuel tanks only works from 1 or 2 directions. In the KV-1's case, the side facing outward is the only armored side, which explains its bullet sponge qualities. But when damaged from an unprotected side, for example, by a blast from the engine deck, no armor is their to prevent detonation. I've noticed the same thing with frontal fuel tanks in Russian MBTs: shoot the front, usually they get away with little more than a red driver and 1 less FPE charge. Shoot it in the side, well... Kaboom.
The most fun I've had in war thunder is being down tiered as the first valentine tank. My entire team had died and I just took like 20 shots with no damage.
I bounches 17 shells once whilst getting my turret repaired and getting a new crew member. 5 enemies shot me. 4 dead last killed me...

I once spent an entire game trying to kill on of these things. If I remember rightly, I was in a 1940 T-34, and there was another one and a friendly KV. It was arcade but despite that, we couldn’t kill it, it couldn’t kill us.
