@@scorpiontdalpha9799 Well, the russian 2nd tank division was sent to stop the german 6th Panzer Division - it had a force of KV-1 and KV-2s (numbered in 51 or 57, various sources vary between those two numbers). It was also the first time the germans ever met KV tanks. However, very poor command and control meant that KV tanks were used poorly, most of them blindly charged the german positions and either got overwhelmed and destroyed through various means or got stuck/run out of fuel which resulted in their crews abandoning them. Apart from the heroic defense of the KV-1 in the video and the famous lone KV-2 tank, the soviets were absolutely decimated by the germans - the russians lost between 2-3k men and 250 taken prisoner, and the whole 2nd tank division was left with just 10 tanks out of almost 200 available before - around 30% of them were left in the field due to running out of fuel. Germans meanwhile lost 185men and around 10 tanks, but also losing several dozens of tanks and a dozen of AT-guns. Overall in the whole bigger battle with german 4th panzer army fighting against 3rd and 12th mechanized corpses, the russians lost over 700 tanks (with around 100 of them being of KV series) and most of their motor vehicles. Unfortunately I was never able to found any german documents about a specific amount of tanks and men lost, but those were classed as "light" - which would make sense looking at the sole battle of Raseiniai itself. As we can clearly see, even though that first meeting with KV tanks was a shock for the germans and they definitely had a hard time cracking a few of them (and those few crews behaved heroically and deserve recognition) in the bigger picture the battle was an utter disaster for the russians. There were 3 main reasons for their big loss : poor command and control, supply problems (soviets were lacking trucks and as such fuel shortages were really severe as the tanks had to cover a lot of ground to arrive to a battlefield) and german air superiority meant that their close air support could bomb with impunity.

Its so Awesome to hear a story about a battle that happened in your country from this channel. ❤️ The content
Вечная Память и Слава советским танкистам!!!...........
The "we didn't penetrate their armor" and "that one didn't go through" parts got me laughing hard 😁
Never have I clicked a notification faster than Yarnhub Premier..
This is the best channel ever, when I watch your old videos and then your newer videos,I think it is someone else!
This channel deserves 100 times the views it gets/
Some account says that it was KV-2.
Because in cemetery it written 6 crews. 3 identified and 3 other not.
Watch this video for further data.
It called: Monster of Raseiniai
Love all the world of tank references in this. It honestly got me laughing
"stronk"
I'll bet that wasn't an accident.
This is why the KV series of tanks are awesome
Thanks for video from Russia. My grandfather was a tankist, and was killed by nazi in Hungary in 1945.
Imagine if this was a KV-2
Imagine a 152 mm shell hitting a truck
If the KV1’s shell destroyed it, the KV2’s shell would disintegrate it
With the Motherland behind them all they had was ONE KV AND A DREAM!
You know,it funnier in my language. In hungarian KV is pronounced KáVé wich is coffee. So "all they had was one coffe and a dream!" :D
@@ezio11ful who says the crew weren’t running off of one coffee all day?
@@mr.h1083 Russian soldiers running on coffe instead of vodka?
Not impossible

Can someone tell me if that is a binoculars or just a vision pipe?
It's a Rangefinder.
"Waiting for a fire, an explosion, or a white flag to unfurl from an open hatch,..."
I love all the references.
@Bruh ?
@Bruh thanks lol
I can imagine being inside a tank that gets hit, but not penatrated, is still horrible, the ringing must be one of the worst sounds you could hear
This thumbnail sure is interesting
I see the thumbnails had evolved too
What an amazing episode again, it gets better everytime! I love how i remember when yarnhub had just under 4k subs and look where he is now! Well deserved. Greetings from Holland.
I like the T-34 references you include in this video especially with the near similar slow-mo animations of the kv-1’s shells flying through the air
Another great story from Yarnhub. 👌
Lmao I thought it was the battle of raisin lol
Also got the reference at 3:27
Imagine if the Germans didn't cheap out and used pay to win rounds, this story would never had existed.
6:08 that aim lmao
Honor y gloria a estos combatientes del Kv-1. 🕊️🙏
They fought well and strong.
Full respect towards this tank crew and the fallen & standing soldiers from both sides.

This part make me laugh
