I tried the Pierce +1 on the Glock 43. They worked fabulously with 115 grain and 124 grain FMJ’s. Then I tried my carry ammo…. 147gr HST’s and 147gr Winchester Ranger-T’s. The very last round in all three magazines failed to chamber. That extra round capacity with the factory mag spring just didn’t have enough oomph to load a heavier bullet into the chamber. So I immediately removed those +1 base plates and went back with the Glock factory standard base plates. The issue is the mag spring isn’t strong enough by lengthening it with a +1 extension. I don’t trust those +1’s on my Glock 42 either.
Nice work! Interested in the slide work. For me, the slide and sights are the only thing I would do to mine. I've kept mine stock ever since I purchased it, but I can see the advantage to the weight reduction.
I just bought my Glock 42. Haven’t shot it yet. I seen comments that it is a soft shooter and others that it is snappy. Any opinions. I am a senior, have to have a spine surgery and both shoulders replaced. I can’t wait to get back to the range and shoot
Absolutely love the 42, been wanting to get one for quite some time. There’s a guy who milled his slide to fit a 407k or 507K, or maybe it was the RMRcc Makes me want to do the exact same thing to one.
We are on the same wavelength, I've been researching doing just that and have discovered two companies so far. I'm also really trying to get my hands on a 9x18 conversion barrel.
I want to mill the slide so bad on my 42 but I’ve heard horror stories about stuff like that being used against you in court if that ever happens. I have a 34 that I’m gucci ing out hard but my carry 42 I try to leave stock until I saw how nice yours looks lmao
They don't have the pro grips on amazon, you have to get it from their site directly. I'll post affiliate links to FOXX Grips and the Talon granulate grips though.
Not a single stoppage other than one bad primer. A few thousand through the lot, they aren't all used equally though. Our specific carry mags only get cycled once every six months.

Good to know. I have had great luck with the 42 ones.
I also love the 42. No recoil and easy to shoot. Please post impressions if you end up porting that barrel.
You bet! Thanks for the comment.

No slidework, this is a Patriot Ordinance Factory Gentleman slide.

I’ve never heard it described as snappy before, but everyone is different. I hope you’re feeling better!

That works! Whatever makes you comfortable/
Tell us more about your slide, please.
Are you still using the Strike Industries +2 mag extensions?
Nope, I switched over to pierce plus ones awhile ago!
Please respond. Did this slide come with firing pin channel sleeve installed? Or did you have to buy one?
The g42 and g43 don’t have channel sleeves last I checked
Can you link the grip you purchases?

How many rounds through the pearce +1 extension? Any stoppages?

Any ammo opinions?
Gotta be more specific than that, in general? 380? Defensive or range? I'm full of opinions, lol
did that slide increase or decrease your accuracy?
No perceptible change!
