I have an LCP 22LR….Sights are way off, low and to the left shot by more then 1 person….I sent it in to Ruger..Ruger replaced the slide and barrel and the same problem still exists….So I installed an ArmaLaser sight and adjusted it to where the bullets go….I can hold a palm size group with a mag dump at 5 yards..The most reliable ammo is Aguila High Velocity 40GR copper round nose in my LCP…Federal Punch will not cycle through my LCP….My 22LR revolver is a snub nose S&W Model 317 AirLight,(No longer made)…The S&W 317 snubby weighs 9.6oz…I pocket carry both from time to time…I plan on installing Mcarbo spring and trigger kit to upgrade my LCP….I have seen some reviews of this upgrade and it seem s to be a great reliability improvement…..Thanks for the video..😎👍
Can't here you
There is a magazine extension available....which extends grip
Great gun talk 👍🏻 thanks for sharing
Amazing
👍
My favorite revolver. The S&W case off Amazon is extremely good quality!
Thanks for the video. I have a three 22LR handguns the GSG 1911, the Ruger SR22 and the Ruger LCR 22LR, just me not speaking for anyone else but if I was to carry a 22LR it would definitely be the Ruger LCR over the other two. My GSG has 9000 rounds ( replaced the recoil spring twice for preventive maintenance) and the SR22 about 2000, both great and reliable only failures was ammo related.
Thank you for the video. Several weeks ago I walked into my LGS, and they had a used LCR 22LR for $400, the salesman told me the guy purchased it for his wife and she wasn’t fond of it so he placed it in the safe. We ran the serial number on the Ruger website and it was a 2013, there wasn’t a scratch on it, the cylinder and barrel looked like it was never fired, so yeah it came home with me 😂. I purchased a new front sight from Ruger the one with the white stripe and I took the grip off just to check the springs everything was spotless and this one has a lock under the grip I will contact Ruger customer service to see if they can send me a key, I won’t use the lock but always good to have the key.
Jittering with cheaply manufactured +p ammo would be my primary concern with lockup malfunction.
Very interesting review. Thank you.
For my G42, I've gone with the Pearce +1 floorplate coupled with a MagGuts +1 spring/follower kit for 8+1 carry.
Does that single magnet magpouch work well with Glock magazines? Sorry for my poor english.
My LCR22 goes out the door with me most of the time. My LCP22 is not as reliable so it can only be a backup piece.
Speed loader for LCR 22. Revision CV Ammo Pods
I cc the LCP.22Lr daily get you the Hogue overgrip for yours you'll like it.
I will never pocket carry anything else. Love my 642 and I trust my life with it
I'm looking at the revolver , vs my LCP , to shoot bird / snake shot .22 rds. Check out the ballistics at close (5' or so) range , the holes are huge !
I got mines like three years ago. I drop it all the time and it still works as good as new.
👍
👍
I ditched the LCR for the 942 when I had 2 transfer bars break, rendering it completely useless until repaired.
I possess almost all types of popular ammunitions hand guns, but I always like to carry this one 22lr out when I go out with friends. Why? (1) it’s so light and comfortable to carry (2) it can load 8 shots and I also carry the speed loader with me for another 8 shots, and still very light to carry (3) Because the heavy trigger, basically very reliable and no misfire, but recommend to use good ammunition (4) very accurate (5) I can practice this a lot (6) I use it for defensive gun only. Always pay attention to my environment, and keep a distance from anyone who makes you feel suspicious. After that, this gun is good enough for me to defend and repel anyone who wants to rob me. So I am highly recommended it!
You should get the pachmayr guardian grip. I have one on all my LCR revolvers with the short barrel.
Brand name! It's made in the U.S.A! Not Commie China!
Did you ever take the side plate off to clean it?
My lcp2 will shoot all 40 gr bullets. It doesn’t let keep 36gr or 32gr. Federal punch 29 gr is the exception. Federal punch is the best!
I am no expert but my gut feeling is that the ability to train enough in combination with little recoil, would allow you a far higher chance of multiple shots on target in a first time high pressure reality.
I ran some federal punch last visit to the range and they were getting hung up on the ejection . Curious if you had that issue. I’m thinking because the gun is new and the punch is hotter and maybe the casings are expanding more . The CCI mini mag 40grain don’t do that .
I've been trying ot get my hands on this gun for a few years now and just cant seem to find one.
They are popular.
Where shooting gloves when you go to the range to prevent the hand injuries
Federal Punch doesn’t do well in my Walther PPQ M2 and Taurus 942. Both consistently failed to ignite the primer. Aguila works well and both.
Actually 60% more rounds (5 -> 8)
They replaced mine free of charge after I sent it back for not firing and I was the second owner. They stand behind their products for sure the new one has functioned flawlessly.
Is it compatible with g43?
Yep. I carry a 642 for all the reasons you stated. Nice presentation.
i want this so bad, but can not find this anywhere. Bro, you are killing me..
I saw a great video by Felix Immler where he used a dremel tool to modify the can opener to make a curved bevel and make it into a hooked package opener. It still works as a can opener and screw driver, but then works as a fantastic package opener and keeps your large blade from getting gunked up with tape residue. For me, this modification makes the can opener my most used tool on the Cadet.
For an EDC light 115 lumens is really all you need. Its a good little workhorse of a light and it was my go to work EDC light for a couple years.
Sold me.
I bought a Ruger LCP2 in 22 caliber at a gunshop..brand new. I couldn't get it to fire Aguila ammo without jamming. It wound jam everytime I pulled the slide back. With CCI stingers I'd get at least one or two misfeed with every magazine..and CCI mini mags I'd get one misfeed out of every other magazine. Then I noticed the hammer spring was brown with what looked like rust. I sent it back to Ruger for repairs. They told me they replaced the slide and the firing pin spring. I dont believe Ruger ever looked at my gun because nothing had changed..it still wasnt at all reliable. Even the rusted hammer spring was still there. Then I ran across a box of 50 rounds of American Eagle I had forgotten about. I had never fired this particular type of 22LR through my gun yet. To my surprise it fired all 50 rounds without an issue. So I bought 5 more boxes of American Eagle 22LR. Out of 250 rounds I only had one misfeed. I think it makes this ruger reliable enough for concealed carry. I have a 357 magnum revolver but my 22 caliber Ruger is much more fun to shoot. I'm glad I bought it.
I’d be quite interested in the LCP .22 if it had the same clean manual of arms as the centerfire LCP. However, the weird little manual safety and the magazine disconnect really dampen my interest in the pistol.
The 642 is the gun that I carry for pocket carry. I agree with everything you stated.
That size DCC clip is that for the city special holster?
The single magnets are for all metal mags, the double magnet are made for Glock mags
more cheaply produced 3d printed slop. that is less than 10$ in material to print and they charge min 50$ LOL insane.
don't be salty just because they thought of it first, lolol.
My regular EDC is the Glock 42, with over 3,000 rounds in past 2 years. I installed MagGuts spring/follower in my Glock 42 magazine, giving it 7 rounds in the same space, yielding 7 +1. Zero issues; I highly recommend MagGuts. For pocket carry, I use the Sticky holster. For my spare mag, I use Strike Industries EMP +2, which gives 8 rounds. Again zero issues. Recently I installed the Vickers Tactical slide stop, making it easier to manipulate. Otherwise, my 42 is factory standard. The key to using 380 for professional defense is the right ammo, which, for me, is either Fiocchi Extrema XPT or Hornady XPT; actually any XPT round works great. magguts.com/product/glock-42/
I liked this video cause you had 666 likes & I hate that number. Lol
Shot 12 magazines of CCI Mini Mag this morning in two guns, flawless. Loaded 1 magazine with Federal Auto Match, 4th round was a dud. Great primer strike. I want the LCR. I can't see carrying a .22 that isn't a revolver.
Are there any revolver grips where you can store revolver rounds?
Why would you want that?
Not that I'm aware of. But speed strips are a few bucks and work great.
@@1979karle honestly, I’m a big fan of Safariland speed loaders. The j-frame ones are small and in obtrusive in a front pocket. I sometimes carry a 2.75” model 66-8 k-frame and even those larger speed loaders are easy to carry, imo.
Fightlite made some called redi-load grips that had a hinged compartment in the grip for 4 loose 38 special rounds, I don't think they make them anymore though, they are still listed on their website but they are all out of stock and have been for the better part of a year.
