I had the same issue one time with the same ammo and same pistol. For some reason that 1 round would not go into battery but every other round i had did just fine. I love my g42. Winchester is my preferred range and stock ammo for it as well
The Glock 42 has been my EDC for nearly 2 years, typically with a Sticky pocket holster. I regularly practice 3-10 yards and find it very accurate short range. However, it doesn't surprise me that you could hit the target, as much as 100 yards; impressive with stock sights. I installed MagGuts, giving me 7 + 1 with the standard 6 round mag. I also have a mag with Strike Industries EMP Plus 2 extension, for 8 = 1, as well a Vickers =2 mag extension on another mag. In over a thousand rounds with each, no feed issues and no problems. I'm planning to install Ameriglo I-dot sights on my 42, the same as on my Glock 43X, Glock 19 and my Glock 44.
I wish I could do that with my Sig-P238. It shoots heck of low. I replaced my rear sight with a suppressor style. It is somewhat tall but at least I could now hold a 6'o'clock hold at 25 yards and chase long range targes without all the Kentucky elevation/windage.
Funny you should mention that. A few days ago a friend of mine was complaining about his P238 shooting very low. Maybe I’ll see if I can borrow it for a video.
I think it shoots like a laser. It is one of the only guns that I prefer a light +p round. I have a hogue grip that makes a huge difference. I wish when UA-camrs did these long shots, they would tell their hold on the target. Incidentally, I’ve never had a misfire with a multitude of make/weight in about 1200 rds
Sportsman's has the fde/tan and grey frames. They sadly don't make any other color besides the 3 now. When they first came out, there were like 15 color options.

G42 with a Pierce +1 pinky , and a Fab Defence +4 for backup. The best EDC on Earth. Simple & Reliable.

It came from a small local shop, I believe the color is called flat dark earth.

VERY ACCURATE!!!!! I pocket carry mines with the +2 strike industries baseplates and a couple mags with the Pearce +1 baseplate
