Love how they don't make a decision and hold back and then decide to join forces with them at the very end. The Ducky Boys were where scary, psychopaths...The Wanderer's had very memorable gangs.
I love how Teddy got that old school NYC accent. I had an older co-worker who grew up on Arthur Ave back then and told me most of those gangs really existed.

They were from in a tough, mostly Irish neighborhood starting in the 1950s. Ace Frehley from Kiss was a member in the 1960's. I think they disbanded by the mid 1970's. Another Ducky Boyz popped up in a different neighborhood years later (did mostly tagging) but it wasn't part of the original. Unlike the Italian kids who would get recruited into the mafia, the Irish, Black & Puerto Rican kids usually went on to become Outlaw Bikers, drug dealers or associates working for the mafia. Yes, heroin & other heavy drugs were around back then too but most kids had enough sense to avoid it and the ones that did knew it was a big shame and kept their usage very private. You'd never see anybody just laying out on the streets like today.
Awesome how the Wong's joined in the fight with the Ducky boys! Without the Wong's they never would have won. Although I would have to give MVP to Joey's Dad! He was an ass kicking machine! Top 3 fighter's in the brawl 1- Joey's Dad 2- Teddy Wong 3- Perry Wong and Pop's had different styles Dad was brute strength aided by steroids Teddy Wong was pure technique learned from Asian Sensei's handed down from hundreds of years! Joey's Dad also gets award for best punch thrown unfortunately his son was the receiver.

Especially for such an old movie, I was just about to credit this movie for not making the Wong guy speak in broken English.. Then a second later, I see them bust out the kung fu stances..
