Is captain jack sparrow ever gonna come
Dunno about the IP man, I,m more like the HP (sauce ) man, with a black belt in Origami..😅😅😅..best wishes from the wirral peninsula, bounded by the mersey and the Dee and the Irish sea...geography and rhyme...E..
@@eamonnclabby7067 and that was without a single drop of rum
~captain jack sparrow
In 1998, Robert de Niro ambushes Sean Bean with a coffee cup in Ronin. That was badass. These are just violent.
16:36 That WHAT dude's lemons? FCUK that guy
The scene you showed of Tom Cruise in "Collateral" is what we show in gun classes because that move that he pulls is literally textbook.
They had ex-SAS consultants on the movie, definitely makes it with using real world applied techniques.
Hemsworth hiding behind a ladder while a chopper is shooting at him might be one of the most laughable moments in action history.
Relax Miley
@@davehackett8253 That reply is about as fucktarded as an idiot hiding behind a ladder when getting obliterated by a chopper. Don't quit your day job joker.
Thats what I thought...Script writers push "it"
Yep it’s so bad, “acting”
Thats not acting, that's fucktardedness.
@@ROALD.
The Kingsman scene with "Free Bird" guitar solo playing in the background is just Awesome.
Gene Hackman! What a versatile actor, this guy always nails the part he’s playing.
Did you watch his movie from 1995 when Chris O'donel defends him in court as a lawyer from nazi cult ?
Must watch
Christoph Waltz made Django Unchained worth watching a second time. He was so good in Inglorius Bastards
You’ve got to give it to the 80s and 90s. Ripely fighting the queen in Aliens, the Terminator 2 spillway chase scene, the firing line in the jungle in the Predator. You could do a whole list ranked above these with just that era of action flicks.
Thank god I'm not alone. Pathetic list. How's this dude got Extraction 2 up there but not the original? What about Tony Jaa's The Protector? Or Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon?
@@Sweethands4no scenes from the punisher is shameful
That 20 minute prison escape scene from Extraction 2 was one of the most badass scenes in I’ve seen in YEARS!
“This is from Matilda” is such a simple yet powerful line. One of my favorite last words from a character.
Not nearly as badass as the realistic close quarters slaughter in the original Extraction.
@@Sweethands4 oh hell no! I love that fight! The 20 minute prison escape scene in 2 is my favorite though
@@disturbedpyro4511 That scene blew me away.. I didn't expect something that fkn awesome after the prison courtyard fight scenes...
Tropic Thunder is criminally underrated.
Robert Downey, Jr.'s satirical race change is potentially the greatest mockery of political correctness in history.
"Gimme that goddam map!"
@@Sweethands4 "Any tips? Any tips you got?"
he's literally black facing
@@scaztalks5952 And it is funny in how ridiculous it is, it is exposing all the idiots with sticks wedged so far up their keester they are spitting out splinters. Are we to cancel Marlon and Shawn for doing white face?
The Kingsmen church fight scene was soooo insanely epic.
"Free bird" as the soundtrack is what does it.
The Hackman scene from Mississippi Burning is next level badassery
I have to say, If you had to pick a Daniel Craig Bond chase scene, I would have chosen the opening scene from Casino Royale.
One scene that should have surely be included in your list: the final shootout at General Mapache's party in Sam Peckinpah's epic classic western The Wild Bunch (1969).
The knife viggo mortensen swats away with his sword was a real knife mistakenly placed by the stunt crew and was thrown at him by accident.
it was meant to go to his side and hit the tree, to demonstrate the random sword swinging, dagger, arrow flying of the fight.
Viggo spotted it and swiped it away. Thus creating an epic shot and saving himself from serious if not fatal injury.
The one thing I actually like about Tropic Thunder is the r l story about how Robert Downey Jr and everyone were really freaked out about him playing that role but all of his black friends told him to go ahead and do it
I'm black and I loved that movie. Back in the day when we didn't have so many sensitive people. Tropic Thunder is in my DVD collection.
Tropic Thunder is the funniest movie ever RDJ steals the show with Kirk Lazarus
In the badass scene, if I could ad one, it would be 100% the Vador scene at the end of Rogue One '
1000% Agree. I remember seeing that in the theater and I was moved, the intensity, probably the first time that Vader’s power was properly demonstrated, at least, from what I have seen.🤔😀
YES OMG... that was a scene I didn't expect to see at the end of that movie. It was so cool seeing Vader go off like that...
Tony Jaa's Stairwell fight scene in The Protector is probably the most badass hand-to-hand combat scene in any martial arts film.
Yep. I was waiting for that one, too. I was pleased with the reminders of many exciting scenes I'd enjoyed, but Tony's exhausting ascent should rank ahead of many of these selections.
I was surprised The Transporter wasn't in there.
Ripley, "I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure." The most badass line in movies ever.
It's a great list that would have been even greater if the gunfight scene in the street from the movie Heat had been added
Prey was pretty fun tbh and I like how she doesn't just end up out fighting it, she outsmarts it... well done on that one.
…..like most of the movies……
i would like to know what ROCK you've been living under if you think Gerard Butler disappeared after doing 300.....?
he's done like 20 movies since then, like all 3 of the "London has Fallen" movies as Mike Banning, and Gods of Egypt
he also voiced a character in How To Train Your Dragon which made WAY more money than 300
Thank you. Someone else out here with a brain. I stopped watching this after that couldn't take this guy seriously
Little History Fun Fact about the "This is Sparta!"
Leonidas wasn't the King by Blood - his Wife was the One related to the Royal Bloodline and the One who inherited the Throne - but she needed a Man at her Side for that (just the Rules back then....).
So, she'd pick the most loyal from the fitting Soldiers elegible for that from the Ranks and married him.
Leonidas was just "King pro Forma" while the real Power was held by his Wife.
So, by insulting and lowering her, the Embassedor of Persia insulted and devalued the honor of all Spartans to the maximum extend.
It wasn't about "You insulted my Wifey" or such - it was Waaaaay beyond that; insulting and defiling the basic honor and questioning the whole social Structure, the whole Civilisation of Sparta, that's what he did.
Gandalf deserves a spot!! “You shall NOT pass!!” always gets me.
No. No kid crap
This is one of the best recap videos I've ever seen. So many of these movies I haven't seen, I stopped watching MSM 10 years ago. Have to save this to my favorites so i can use it as a viewer guide for the foreseeable future. Thank you for puting this together. A++++ Subbed
So I love your inclusion of the ending of The Good The Bad and The Ugly, but you definitely missed one. I think easily the coolest most badass scene in cinema history is the final showdown in For a Few Dollars More. When the watch starts to come to an end and then all of a sudden the second watch starts to play and we see Clint holding that rifle and he walks over and gives Mortimer his gun and says “now we start,” that is just truly breathtaking
Naru and her brother in Prey mirrored each other. He finished her lion, she finished tue alien hunter. Her brother did a lot of damage to the hunter. There was no shame in his defeat. It taught Naru how not to fight it
Please include Atomic Blonde in these compilations sometime! That entire film is badass from start to finish--from its individual characters, to its suspense, to its action scenes.
he did?
Some really good picks here. I know you said no capes or tights, but I think Thanos vs. Hulk was some really badass shit.
I guess I'm kinda "old school", but (to me) one of the best ones out of ALL of these was Gene Hackman's, "don't you go mistaking me for some whole other body!".... 😂🤣👍
Original badass lines like that just don't happen much in film anymore these days! MUCH respect for putting that one in there!! Hackman was definitely what we old fogies call, "the genuine article"!! 😂👍
Correction for the 10-on-1 fight in Ip Man, they mostly do fight him one at a time. You can see other opponents standing around in the background while Ip Man takes his time punching someone in the face a lot. Don't get me wrong -- I'm a huge Donnie Yen fan, but the end fight in Flash Point is way cooler. That said, really glad you included The Raid 2 -- almost every scene is an overdose of brutal violence (Hammer Girl? Prakoso? Eka rescues Rama? Any one of those sequences would put it on the list!)
Love how in the James Bond scene you put a remix of skyfall as background music
Gerard Butler didn’t vanish after 300 at all. He plays in a lot of action/ adventure/ sci - fi films with some other genres mixed in. The narrator needs to watch more of his movies. And the overhead John Wick scene was number 3 not 5.
You can tell the narrator really doesn’t follow him… the text says “Gerald Butler”.
Good point, Butler actually kicked ass in a Romantic Comedy, I think it was called "The Ugly Truth" and was really funny!
What about kill bill and The gunfight scene in Wyatt Earp by Kevin Costner.
@@debbiethompson14 🤣🤣👍
John Wick 4 not 3 for the overhead shoot out.
You hit it on the head with all of these but including the great Gene Hackman is top notch. He's truly one of the best!
The Mission Impossible: Fallout bathroom fight scene between Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill and Liang Yang.
When Liang jumps and twists in the air, then hooks the pipe around Cavill's neck and slams him to the ground was so damn good...
...but then Henry gets up, throws his jacket off and reloads his arms... MY GOD WHAT A SCENE.
Good stuff! Subbed.
~~Given what you said regarding Unforgiven, w/o a doubt, definitely applies to the opening sequence of High Plains Drifter.
Wow….such epic insane movie action!
Great list…well done👏👏👏
Some great fight scenes, but how about including the bathhouse fight scene with Viggo Mortensen in Eastern Promises? Epic!
Agree 👏. Better than 5 or 6 of the scenes mentioned.
The F18 passing through the river at the beginning of the mission is a truly spectacular scene (Top Gun Maverick)
The hallway fight scene in the first Raid: Redemption movie is one of the best fight scenes ever.
The final fight in Ip Man is EPIC, too.
Love how he gets 15 shots out of a 5 shot revolver in Jango.
Great vid! Thanks!!
Give a nod for the fight scene at the start of Daniel Craig's first James Bond movie, Casino Royale. It wasn't long or such, but it was very realistic and brutal.
VERY GOOD TOP 25! Also, well introduced.
The diner scene form He Never Died would've deserved a spot on the list as well
The bathhouse scene in Eastern Promises with Viggo Mortensen was a very badass scene.
Great stuff !
A great laugh is when Thermine whaappps the kid with the sword
Gerard Butler has been in like 50 movies since 300. How do you not know that?😂
So glad you included #6 👍😎
Great video the only one i missed was the shoutout in Heat
Excellent selection - all brilliant
Scored a like from me. Great choices, all of em.
Nice review thanks 👍
The lead farmer made me laugh 🤣🤣🤣
30:13 BRIDE-"Those of you lucky enough to still have your lives. Take them with you. But leave the limbs you’ve lost. They belong to me now."
You need to do a part two. Don’t forget Deer Hunter and the movie aliens, back when special effects weren’t all CGI
The photo at 27:55 showing Tarantino kissing a girls foot has supposedly been analyzed and allegedly determined that the girl is approximately 10-12 years old and not that of a small adult of legal age! Judging by the size of the foot and leg, I'm inclined to agree!
The chase scene in the James Bond SkyFall movie starts in Istanbul but ends in Adana. These two cities are quite far from each other. As you can see, the pursuit of motorcycles, which started on the roofs of the Historical Grand Bazaar, continues in Adana by jumping on to the train from the bridge. This means it takes approximately 1000 km :))) There is only one explanation for this: "The Magic of Cinema"
This was very good, but you missed a couple: the final gun battle in True Romance and the final battle scene in Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.
18 is one of the best moments in in cinema history. Keeping that kind of tension up in a movie is impressive. A similar scene is is the beginning of the race in the movie 1972 with Steve McQueen
Gerard Butler really didn't disappear after 300, in fact it put his career into high gear.
the one that always sticks in my head is in Hellsing Ultimate. i know it is not a match for this video but after the baddies slaughter all the defenses, and the ones that have been bred to kill Alucard make their way to his area, and just rip him to sheds, they start to walk away thinking job done. You just hear his laugh, he says "I haven't had this much fun in years".. Then he releases his locks and just kills everything and eats them. Great writing.
While it might of been very short Jet Li's disassembling of Glock 9mm in Lethal Weapon 3 was as badass as it gets.
How did he do that? Let’s go and ask him.
"To the King!" Goosebumps every time.
I actually watched Collateral last night, and my only regret was not etching it fully when I originally did, because it was such a good movie
Nice list. Maybe the Sean Connery death scene followed by the shootout in the train station in The Untouchables?
I have to say, you know your shit! All of them were great picks! Even the order you placed them was spot on! You got yourself a new subscriber!
The professional and Gary Oldman....best scenes ever!
Could have chosen most, or all of the fight scenes in Kill Bill. So good
What about the ladies 1 on 1 in Kill Bill 2? World class assassin mano y mano honor challenge (ahem, mujer y mujer) for the storyline filmed as a dirty, poor trailer park street fight. The Bride bitch whipping her nemesis with the antenna from an old TV is the most badass move in a duel ever filmed.
...except of course the minigun from the original Predator, but that wasn't a duel.
#2, Unforgiven, one of my favorite lines. Little Bill: I don't deserve this... to die like this. I was building a house. Munny: Deserve's got nothin' to do with it. Clint has so many good lines, Gran Torino was full of them.
There's dramatic scenes, then there's intense scenes (emotionally/psychologically), like in The English Patient when the pilot is crying out during the plane flight...in silence
Halo theme playing behind the 300 segment? Love it!
The Dogs in John Wick 3 are amazing
Wow, that was super! Thank you, YT algorithm!
That top down in john Wick screwed with your eyes a lot but was still awesome
You have nailed so much here - great work!
The massive fight scenes in the original Zatoichi movies with Shintaro Katsu. Where 1 blind swordsman defeats about 20 to 40 opponents in each battle.
I vote Christian Bale /Gun Kata scenes in Equilibrium
One of my top 10 is the foyer scene in the matrix.
At 09:52 could somebody tell me what the title of the background music? Kinda remember the tune but completely forget the name
It's a version of Axel F from Beverly Hills Cop by a band called Nightcore
Thanks man @@dancomber9768
The corridor fight from "Old Boy" - the original Korean, not the crappy American version - should be Number One on anyone's list,
The Collateral script called for Vincent to make the five shots in 1.6 seconds, Tom Cruise did it in 1.39 seconds.
The Malinois trainers for JW3 were from Gatesville TX.
I realize it's not as "epic" as most of these scenes, but I still really liked the final (Eastwood again) fight in Pale Rider.
I love the halo music to go along with the 300 clip. 😂
Pretty cool ~ many of these movies I'd never heard of before .
-Nate
No Matrix. No terminator. No boondock saints. No die hard. How bout the first battle in the patriot when mel Gibson throws the tomahawk in dudes forehead 😂
The "Raid two" has got some of the best martial arts action in any MA movie. Incredible choreography.
Tomb Raiders bungie fight scene would be in my top 5. As a kid I'd watch just that whole scene.
Charlize Theron did a very good job. She becomes battered, tired, and slower as the fight went on. That's logical. Kicks, punches, blows hurt. And no matter how fit and well trained one is, hurts and nonstop violence will slow down any fighter. No fancy kung fu, spinning back kicks or triple axle spinning front snap round house kicks. Just brutal punches, elbow strikes, knees, and short kicks. Much more believable.
Long winded kung foolery is just boring. A real fight woukd have people dead or seriosuly wounded in 2 minutes. All this flying through the air, triple back flip wuad kicks are just stupid.
I read that the whole fight scene on the stairs and in the apartment was one long take, it's my favourite fight scene just because of how tired they get, struggling to even get up off the floor!
Atomic blonde made my daughter uneasy with all the violence. That said, it's the best woman fight scene ever. I miss that world.
You left poor old George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton out of your list of Bond actors. Both nailed the part at the time they played it also..
That John Wick 4 scene was insane
right when i was about to recommend kill bill, the bride clip plays, wild...but i like her fight against o ren ishii a tad more then her vs the 88s
For anyone who knows about the trumpeter’s life, the part where Daniel claims that Miles Davis graduated from Juilliard makes the scene REALLY tense.
Maybe an honorable mention for drunken master? Great flick, I still haven’t finished this clip. Maybe it’s on here? Some really solid scenes.
where is The Book of Eli?
LOTR
Book of Eli
No Country for Old Men
The Dark Knight
300
My suggestion: Better Tomorrow, dir John Woo w Chow Yuen Fat. That has some really thrilling action pieces. And if you want a Tarantino inspo, try Sword of Doom--black and white Japanese film with a guy (Tatsuya Nakadai) who goes in to a house full of people with his Sword and--well, you know...takes care of business.
Super review!! Thanks!!
4:20 I forgot how savage atomic blonde was
