My mom has owned Honda’s since the early 90s and she just bought the Aruba green SX prestige, X-line with the rust seats and it is miles ahead of Honda and Toyota in my opinion. I’ve owned Toyota’s and now drive a Lexus, and I’m really jealous. So to any of the doubters, you don’t need to. Kia and Hyundai have come a long way now.
I've always preferred the grey rims too, but I'll be honest, these look better in person than they do on video or in pictures. They're better in grey like on the X-line, but they match the piano black trim around the rest of the vehicle.
Yesterday Bought my wife the SX Gravity Grey with black interior on Valentines day. Awesome style and ride. Coming from a 2006 Tacoma, it is nice. I went in for the SX Prestige Xline package same color but it ended up an extra $100 per month on top of the SX. So had to get real and drop that deal.
Nice Valentine's day gift!! Our X-Line is a separate trim, and it's the entry-level model to the Turbo engine. That makes it less expensive here than in the U.S.A.
@@nakithabadon9855 very. The only difference is the knob instead of a shifter and you can tell when the car switches from gas to electric. Other than that I love it and it’s extremely quiet not to mention the gas mileage. You should definitely go test drive one.
@@nakithabadon9855 A Hybrid is VERY similar to a gasoline vehicle. Just put it in gear and go! Even EV's aren't too complicated, but generally, an EV brakes instead of coasts when you release the throttle (gas) pedal. With a Hybrid, if you're comfortable driving your gasoline vehicle, there's not really anything to learn to drive a Hybrid. Oh... there is one thing to learn... You need to get used to driving past gas stations. :)

The camera sometimes picks things up a lot differently based on the vehicle, where I park it in the bay, whether it's sunny or not outside. I always tell people not to judge the colour by the video because it can really look different from one video to the next.
Can you please tell me if the EX+ is supposed to come with a jack and lug nut wrench? I bought one a couple months ago and just assumed this hardware would be there. I looked for the jack and wrench today and couldn't find them anywhere. There was an air compressor where they are supposed to be as per the car manual. Thank you.

Kia used to call their system "Dynamax AWD" Which was a Magna International system. I believe this system is designed in house, and it's excellent! With multiple drive modes and terrain modes, it really customizes all of the electronics to perform well in any given condition.

Strange how Auto Climate button has three levels. what's that all about?? usually it is auto on or off this one looks like three increasing modes on a heated seat.
Yeah, I questioned Kia Canada about this feature the first time that I saw it. It's a feature that I really love. If you set the AUTO climate to a temperature, and the 3 lights are lit up, that's going to function like you would expect it to. When you tap the AUTO button and you end up with two, or one light lit up, your fan speed will not exceed a medium level or a lower level. Basically, it does two things. It keeps the car quieter while adjusting where the air is directed and brings the car to temperature. The other benefit, if you open the door with traditional AUTO climate control, and the outside temperature is significantly different than the inside temperature when you jump back in the car, the air conditioning can BLAST for a minute or two before slowing down. That can cause you to feel very cold before the temperature resets. If you set it to ONE light, the passengers will never be blasted with that cold air. (After writing this, I realize that I need to make a video to be more clear.)
I believe it's six speakers, and you do not get the Bose system, but these Kia stereos in both the Sorento and the new Carnival, are much better than I remember from the past.

I can tell you with certainty what the new van will include!! :) The Sorento is a vehicle that I'll have to dig into further. At this point, I believe the Steering wheel will heat up, but the seat will not. On the new minivan, I'm expecting the seats to be able to heat up too.
It's a great value in the class, especially when compared to the Honda's and Toyota's of the world, but it's not an inexpensive trim line. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, I'm still trying to get Kia Canada to confirm that it's coming, but they DID confirm this on the K5, so I can't see it NOT coming on the Sorento. They won't say anything because there's no timeline to release at this point.
Are there issues getting the EX+ in Canada? I dont see many (or even any) dealers with them in stock. Seems to only be LX and X Lines with a few SX scattered
The short answer is, yes at this point. These are still new vehicles that are just arriving and the Turbo engine models are still trickling in before they hit full capacity. I haven't seen an EX model yet, but we do have several turbo models on order, so I hope we'll see them in larger volumes soon.

It doesn't have the Bose Audio, but in the Sorento, and Carnival, Kia seems to have improved their regular stereos over previous years. You may like it.

I threw new speakers in with factory head unit but there isn't enough drive from that unit. So I may look to amp it but I am a fan of the brand and hope going forward more options exist for buyers with better sound systems.

In Canada, the 2021 models only came with the the inflator kits. The 2022 model year Sorento comes with a jack and spare tire.
I'm waiting delivery on my EX+ and unless I missed it I didn't see a 12V socket in the front seats, only the 3 USB ports. Can someone confirm?
I believe that's correct, but I think there's one on the back of the armrest. I'm not near any vehicles right now, so I'm going off memory.

Also the infotainment screen is like the SX but even though it's an EX+ for 44000$ it does not have the BOSE stereo that's disappointing.

The Hybrid EX is a better buy in my opinion
At this time, we don't have Hybrid Sorento's in Canada. I'm hoping that we'll get them for the next model year, but we'll have to see.

I believe it can... but off the top of my head, I know the SX model has the folding mirror housing, I don't know if the EX+ does.
