- The 2022 Kia Sorento has been a very popular vehicle, and now that it's available in a Plug-In Hybrid model, buyers have more choices than ever before. There are some key differences between the gasoline model and the PHEV, and in this video, Peter shows you what's the same, and what is different.

Your videos part of the reason I just bought a SXP PHEV. Would definitely bought from you if you're in the USA. In the next class can you show how to enable the walk away auto door lock? Liked that feature a lot on my '19 CR-V and can't figure out how to enable it on the Sorento.
I don't think we have that feature in Canada, that's why I haven't shown it up to this point.
Love your videos! Question: The Sorento EX+ trim doesn't have dedicated memory seat buttons on the door, but can the seat positions still be set through the User Profiles in the infotainment screen?
Generally speaking, up to this point, if the car doesn't have memory seats, then the User menu in the centre display screen will not operate the powered seats.
You say you have PHEV Sorento in stock? Can you ship one to me In Victoria to my dealer so I don't have to wait until March?
If we ship ours to you, then we'll have nothing to show our customers! We're using ours as a demo model to be able to show a number of people so that they can place their orders with confidence.
Did you now maybe when it will be possible to get in Android mode the hole screen likes with Apple Carplay? It makes no sense.
I believe that's an Android thing, and not a Kia or Hyundai thing, so it will likely require a software update from Android. I don't have a timeline on that.
The website must be a typo because the plug-in hybrid has 26 hp ….the same as the plug-in Hyundai Tucson.
Yeah, I'm looking into this. Thanks!
Can you block out sun with ex+
For the Sorento PHEV model with seat position memory, does the smart key link with user seat settings? Would key 1 automatically activate the seat 1 setting and would key 2 activate the 2nd seat setting? I didn't see the Kia Sorento manual mention this but our current honda does that and it's a nice feature.
Great question. The Sorento doesn't do that. On some of our vehicles, the seat will move when you select the user on the infotainment screen, but I haven't tried that on the Sorento yet.
Sorento changes seat position after user profile selection and it is confusing in combination with seat memory buttons..
Can you do a full video on just the EX +
I've done that in the past with the 2021 models which are virtually identical. I'll try to do one in the future, but at the moment, we don't have an EX+ in stock.
Thank you for your videos. I live in the states. I wish I could jump the border and buy from you. Shortage is what I want. Really want hybrid.
The new Sportage Hybrid is going to be an EASY to recommend vehicle if you ask me! I was really impressed with it when I saw it at the L.A. Auto Show.
@@BrantfordKia can someone living in the states go to Canada and buy one of these vehicles and bring it back? Ever dealt with that situation? If so what’s the process?
You need to make a comparison between the Sorento PHEV EX+ and Santa Fe PHEV Luxury.
We don't tend to do Kia vs. Hyundai comparisons in the same video... we could.. but it's rare. The dealers that I work for like to use these videos for their customers, and they prefer when each brand is the star of the show in each video. The best way to compare is when I am able to do one video back to back the next day with a competitive vehicle from the other brand, but right now with inventory struggles, it's pretty rare to have identical vehicles available on the exact same day, or within a day of each other.
@@BrantfordKia From the Hyundai website, I am reading that none of the Santa Fe PHEV models have Highway Driving Assist. Is that true or am I misreading the info? Thanks in advance!
