Wow, no spare! Thats is definitely a deal breaker. I thought most manufacturers were getting away from the spare in an areosol can thing. Had our selection down between this and Highlander. Well, I guess Kia just made our decision for us.
Also keep in mind if the AWD system is set up in a certain way no one spare tire will get you safely where you need to go, intro to KIA’s 5yr/60,000 roadside assistance
Ultimately it depends on your situation and driving routine. Lets be frank, this is a soccer mom mobile. Mom Karen isn't going to be on the side of the road trying to put on a spare tire on the way to the grocery store and most manufacturers realize this. I say this as someone who needs spare because as a Civil Engineer I have to use my personal vehicle to do project site visits often in the middle of nowhere for rural projects. My spare has saved me twice in the last year already.
Mobility kits suck! I can change a tire in 30 mins and be on my way! As opposed to having to wait for a tow truck for hours, if you got cell signal to call. Mobility kit is only useful for minor damage.
Love the new Sorento but Kia made a HUGE. mistake by leaving out the Drivers Seat Memory feature. Its not available on any trim, including the SX Prestige. This feature is a MUST HAVE for anyone who shares the driving with someone else. Come on Kia...fix this ASAP!
Kia did a great job... wow! My grandfathers 2015 Sorento has seat ventilation and navigation, kind of sad you have to step up to the higher trims to get that now. And not having the spare tire is a huge downside. People are getting so lazy now, everyone should know how to change a tire.
@@CarGuyCroissant Heads up display, self leveling rear suspension, heated rear seats, remote parking, ambient lighting, rain sensing wipers, auto up one touch rear windows, acoustic front windows are the main things generally. The hybrid models are even worse...they are only offered in 2 stripper trims, no SX or Calligraphy options.....

I absolutely love this vehicle. I have a 10 year kia forte ex and it has been a great car with no problems at all. I love that the hood prop is gone on this vehicle and love the hidden rear wiper. The only thing thing I don't like the silver door handles they will tarnish to a dingy yellow. My mom has a Corolla with silver accents the driver's side which gets used the most has yellowing stains on the pull lever and armrest area
If I didn't cover it, it doesn't have it. Otherwise though KIA provides two screens with a rule of thumb: 8 inch, no nav - 10.25 inch, has nav. CarPlay and Android Auto both provide navigation directly from your phone since you already pay for that data as a circumvention to not having standard nav from the factory.

From experience larger wheels give a more comfortable ride but John here says otherwise. I would recommend driving both at the dealership to help you decide what feels best to you. As they say the feel of the wheel seals the deal! In this case a different wheel
Here's my review by comparison with the generation it replaces: Less interior and storage space (especially leg room in the front row), fewer standard or optional features (such in the EX reviewed here that lost its panoramic sunroof and 3rd row AC vent which is so useful when transporting cold groceries), less towing capacity (5000 -> 3500 for AWD), more shiny plastics (that show dust, smudges, and can be easily scratched), higher price ($2,500 for a base LX, $1,500 for an EX). And no, it doesn't "basically drive itself". The lane assist feature only works when you are going straight or around slight turns. You can't expect more at this price, but let's say it like it is. The issue is that when it disengages, it doesn't notify you in any way. The Sorento has been the best value SUV on the market by far imo for a long time. That changed in 2021. If you want a Kia SUV and don't feel like paying that $10,000 mark-up on the Telluride that most dealers charge, sure, it's a much better value. But in Kia's attempt to make it a lesser car than the Telluride and by increasing the price (especially the base price), I think the Sorento lost its lead.
Test drove one of these, they are surprisingly quick!

The 20 inch wheels would actually have a rougher ride due to having less Cushion.
