I think this camera was released in 2011, so it is a quite old model now. Some two years ago I bought it and I am VERY happy with it! For the ones interested, a lot of parameters can be adjusted. The XLR microphone conecters allow professional sound recording. Very sturdy and versatile camera and still not too complicated. I learned so much of it. Thanks for your excellent video.
Thanks so much for this video! I love this camera, but there is one thing that makes it almost unusable for me, regarding the zoom - I wonder if you or anyone can help me with this? I like to use "manual focus", and I focus the old-school way - zoom right in, focus, then zoom back out. I like to use the "Grip Rocker" for zoom, but I am finding that it is way too slow for me, even when I set it to the fastest speed of "16". Don't suppose there is a way to increase the speed of the Grip Rocket beyond this?
I own and use this cam since 2011 and it's fantastic. but a long learningcurve to use is manualy! aspecially the gain is very confusing to me. I don 't even in 2023 how to use it... but e.g. the variable slow zoomhandle is great and the top-zoom too, from very slow to quick with full control. I can recommanded this cam for a starting-filmer.
These cameras record in a certain format, I'd search for .mxf files on your card reader you should find the files as they can be a bit awkward to find. Hope that helps.
really i´m in the same situation, i saw it at the pawn shop in my city and i´m really considering it, does it has autofocus ?? I intend it for streaming small corporate events for small companies. do you recommend it? over a neewer mirrorless camera like a sony ?
@@RaymondReise It can do everything you may need, except 4k. If you need an allround camera, which is portable and has good sound, this one is for you.
