Btw, a good video for you to do is a starter replacement on this generation I4 Accord motor. It's rather involved.
How long does the starter take to do? Its difficult?
@@blackterminal It's not all that difficult but it does require removing the intake runners and most everything that covers up access to the wiring and starter attachment bolts. I no longer have my car to refresh my memory for more details.
Hey Scotty. Always something new to learn from you. Keep it up my friend. Respect from Trinidad.

Scotty: **Takes off glasses to reveal another pair of glasses**
Your videos keep getting better !
I know A 91 years old lady who leaks less than this Honda
When they are that old they are all dried up anyway.
Payam yazdi Lmao!
Lmao.. gross
I know an old lady who likes a lot if you know what I mean.
It's the diaper leak proof that keeps them dry😁!
Nice to actually see an informative Scotty video without the annoying comedy popups every 3 seconds.
Wow that's 2 Cool. Also I had a very crappy day at school can't seem to make it better but this video kind of made me feel better. I just can't get enough of this UA-camr.
Love the directional repairs way your videos are heading.
I have this same model car with a manual transmission runs like a top!it will probably outlive me and run through a nuclear fallout!
I have the same one too I bought new in 2005 but is automatic, this thing is so freakin reliable
How on earth did you get a smudge on that letter 'l'????
Wtf this a computer not paper!
You still have it?
Many, Many thanks for your information on repairs and tools. Keep them coming you are making me half smart!!
Scotty, the type of man that would find sometype of problem in a new bought car. 🤣
And usually finds them. LOL
Cause even NEW cars are laden with problems.
Scotty takes good care of people. That's a true mechanic
Family, Im here to watch, morning everyone!
morning!
What say Jona
This video will definitely come in handy. Bought a car from CoPart, has a serious oil leak problem
You have around 30,000 more subs than last week. Creeping up on 2 million. I guesstimate it will be March 28th.
28th. My birthday! I started watching him last week. Into cars all of a sudden.
Thank you Scotty, the 2006 Honda CR-V is our best vehicle so far.
Wish you the best and freedom, God Bless!
wiggle it around till you get it in... i have been doing that for years now.
If you’re in a tight spot, a little lube goes a long way
Great heaven. That was an amazing leaf trick. Why did I just learned that now. That could have saved me from dropping bolt and nuts on a tight space. This is why Scotty is one of my idol on car repair.
"honda designed it like a crazy lunatic scientist" have you ever worked on a peugeot ? : )
Love the videos Scotty and I don't even work on cars! Hey wanted to pass along that some of the 2008 Honda Accords also had an oil consumption problem. Happened to my son's car it kept eating oil and making a metal on metal sound even when the oil was good. Took it to the dealer and they acted like they didn't know what was up. But when I took it to my local mechanic he found a Honda bulletin on the exact issue and sent me back to the dealer with the bulletin in hand. Dealer ended up doing some engine work all under warranty.
This is what’s going on with mine
I have a money pit older bmw. This would've been super helpful a month ago when I changed my oil filter housing gasket, but I'm sure I'll be able to use this info in the future... Because old money pit bmw.
Nice trick with the leaf/bolt, BTW.
Scotty would say, I told you not to buy that car. LOL
@@imasmileydog8043 I know... I know... It was given to me and I work on it myself. It's a passion car for me (family owned). I would get a super reliable old Carolla, but they're just so boring :-(
I’ve done the leaf trick but I’ve substituted leaf for blue paper towel. That’s genius!
He didn't show how effective the ultraviolet light was.
Scotty couldn't really place the glasses on the camera lens!
It's super effective.
If you dont have a leaf handy , a small piece of notebook paper or even some wheel bearing grease will keep a screw or bolt in a socket .
Rev up your Variable Vavle Timing & Lift Electronic Control engines.
From experience I've garnered, every car repair job is a delicate process. Small or big jobs=always delicate.
“You’re going to have to do a little wiggling as you push it in!” We still talking about cars, Scotty? 🤣🤣🤣
I have always used paper for holding bolts in sockets. I guess you have discovered your own renewable resource for this trick.
