If you've watched and listened to RHCP live concerts, you know how much they love to improvise. They have an amazing feel for each other's play and musical intuition to know where the song is going.
Larnell Lewis' was the first I saw from Drumeo, and it blew me away, but this one with Chad Smith is actually one that impressed me almost equally. It's pure musicality.
Larnell heard the song with the drums (talking about Enter Sandman here, seeing how other comments mention another video of his), but he still did a fucking good job at it! but I'm finding the drumless thing they've been doing since much more entertaining cause you can see what the drummer's feel of the song is, rather than trying to replicate the original song
I am not a drummer and know absolutely zero about drumming but always was drawn to the drums. Nothing more mesmerizing than watching someone just create magic on a kit, but you mentioned Larnell Lewis’s Enter Sandman rendition and let me just say that what impressed me the most was the “Active Listening” portion of the Drumeo set. Watching the “cogs” in his brain turning, then his hands and feet moving and bouncing as if he were writing the music on a sheet of paper. It was all just too beautiful to me. Drumeo literally explains this at beginning of video so no idea how Mr Honest Take was so lost ... but not only that, Chad was also playing along on the drum-less track without ever having heard the track before ... in the other Drumeo videos the drummers got to listen to the track the whole way through at least once before laying down their drums to the track.

Chad is G.O.A.T 😊
Can you please react to drummer of megadeth in drumeo playing mr.brightside
How many drummers here also actually ‘Learn’ new music on your steering wheel ? (and gear shifter if your ride has manual transmission)
*I used to keep the bottle cap from every Yoo-Hoo I drank in the glovebox of my ‘86 Jeep CJ7 cuz after beating the metal shift pattern emblem outta my shifter knob, I popped in a Yoo-Hoo bottle cap! 😄 They fit perfectly, but only lasted a week or two, so I kept plenty of spares on hand!!! 😉😎👍🏼🥁
Chadwick smith is drumming!!! Period!!!
Magnificent, spectacular!
Easiest subscribe of my life.
Welcome!
You missed the point. He is not hearing the drums. He made that up as he went, other guys on these drumeo-challenges listens to the full track, maybe multiple times, and then tries and replicate it.....chad just goes with it and HE F*CKIN NAILED! Absolute legend! Best guy who ever did that challenge, period!
he made his own set
He was listening to drumless tracks. So what we hear is what he's playing
Yeah, Zero drum track he hears. You misunderstood early in the video lol
Facts, I could have cut it out but it’s good to be roasted/humbled. Cheers!
@@TheHonestTake No roasting here, just a simple misunderstanding, we all human ;)
Please react to Skynd feat Jonathan Davis
Great reaction bro.
I’ll check it out! I’ll also be doing livestreams with requests so keep an eye for that!
i just want to see improvised versions now lol
Pay attention. It explains in the beginning that he’s not hearing the drums
He's hearing a drumless track. The captions show this before he starts.
Chad and the Peppers actually have toured on Lollapolooza a few times 30STM so I’m sure he has heard the song but he has NOT sat there and actually listened to it Im quite sure lol. It’s not his thing. BUT yes it’s honest to say I’m sure he has heard the song before!!!!
Man I remember being a freshman in '09 listening too both bands, and the kill kinda became my escape song from shitty relationships.
11:45 DUH!
what challenge would it be if he was playing along original drums?!
You gotta watch the drumeo of Pneuma
Ok we want to see the reaction video from Shannon and Jared!!
