Thank you so much! My son is married to a Filipino girl. I have 4 half Filipino/Mexican grandchildren. I can hardly wait to make this for them! 😊👍
I’m a Filipina married with Mexican. I’m learning a lot from ur videos. When I want to learn some Mexican food recipes, I go straight to ur channel. I want u to know that I appreciate u a lot. I love u and ur videos . 😘😘😘
Amazing tutorial!
Here are some tips for anyone cooking pancit canton
1. I HIGHLY recommend putting crispy fried garlic on top and squeeze some kind of citrus on it. Lemon, lime, or calamansi 🤤.
2. Be gentle with the noodles because they break easily and you won’t get long strands of noodles. Pancit noodles are meant to be long because they symbolize long life. This is why Filipinos love cooking it for birthdays.
3. Don’t use too much broth when cooking the noodles or else it’ll be soupy/ mushy noodles. You can always add a little liquid if the noodles aren’t cooked enough. If you make the mistake of putting too much liquid carefully pour it out
4. Canton noodles have a salty flavor already and they soak up seasoning really well so dont over season at first.. You can finish seasoning the noodles at the end when you added everything back.
Great tips thank you. You are also amazing. I wish I am your friend that I may be invited for dinner. 🤗 I want to know if egg noodles is okay to use as well. Thank you.
@@rosataylor7832 if you’re talking about Asian egg noodles, yes, you can!! If you’re talking about American egg noodles (looks like twisted pasta) then no. Hope that made sense lol
@@Hey_heaven thank you. Yes I meant Asian egg noodles. I will have a go. Take care.💐
Yes in all that! #3 especially! Soggy & mushy noodles are a big no! Hahaha
Not me buying the noodles yesterday and you pop up with a recipe I was looking for. 😍
Love, love, love this. Definitely a staple at any Filipino gathering. My grandmother loves to garnish with halved, boiled eggs and calamansi. Oh & of course tons of lumpia. 🤤💙
LOVE LUMPIA!!
This is my FAVORITE meal that my daughter-in-law makes! Thank you so much for this recipe!
Thank you for the recipe. I have eaten it but not made it. I did learn to make pancit palobok 50 years ago from a filapina friend at University. Emily would always include lots of vegetables and used meats and fish as the " condiment" to flavor the dish. In those days a trip to the Chinatown in Chicago was required for making those meals. Now I have some options in the super markets and a lovely Pan Asia shop so I can indulge in Asian cuisine often.
I’m gonna go to 99 Ranch and buy the noodles and make it. I can’t wait, it’s gonna be superb! Thanks again for another superb recipe.
Enjoy watching you cook..

Excellent video! I usually make Pancit Cantón if I have nothing left on my pantry except for ramen noodles. My only other observation is that my mom would make her Pancit with a lot of lemon juice -- almost equal parts to the soy sauce -- for a very citrusy outcome.
This looks delicious 😋
mmmmm... looks and smells delish! tyfs

Interesting to see a foreigner's take on a traditional filipino recipe.
I don't eat most filipino food because of their love of pork... but I don't want to eat pork.
