If you have shoulder pain or stiffness, you need to be freeing up your rotator cuff in all directions. Between the internal and external rotator stretches and the infamous (and overdubbed) towel stretch, we should have you moving more freely in no time. And by "no time" I mean "a few weeks."
Let me know how this works out in comments! - Навчання та стиль
YOU R the best...
i found these stretches naturally by myself as i have these problems often- working mostly with typing.
but you summed them up very well. thank you
I've been suffering with neck and shoulder pain for 2 years. My doctors can't give me a diagnosis but I am almost positive I tore both rotator cuffs. I've been in and out of physical therapy with some improvement but not 100% back to my old self. I've seen the first and third stretch in this video in PT and on other youtube videos while searching for relief but I had never seen the hands in the diamond on the back stretch. That is a game changer for me. I already feel so much better. Thank you for this video.
Two thumbs up, Ian!
Many many thanks for this info. I have been ignoring the ping in my right shoulder! Hoping these will help loosen it up !
Thank you for presenting this easy to understand regimen. ~ S ~
Great video! Exactly what I needed :-)
Good Stuff Ian..really helps..thanks a lot..!!
That pec floss sure feels sweet, my good man.
Do you have any videos for the stage after a frozen shoulder
Hi when I do the door way stretch the middle of my chest sounds like it’s grinding and popping, is this normal?
Hi, Ian. Sadly, those stretches cause pain for me. Any alternatives you can suggest?
Hi Gwyn, sorry for the delay in getting back to you! My suggestion would be to forget about the third stretch (the towel stretch), and to try very gentle versions of the first two. Don't try to get new range of motion, just remind your shoulders of how far they can travel already. In addition, some self-massage may help, as I show in this video: ua-cam.com/video/5tFEjSK9e8w/v-deo.html Please be very gentle with this as well.
If you're not able to do any of this comfortably, or if you pain persists or worsens, I do advise you to see a doctor for evaluation. Best of luck!
what if my shoulder's chronically funky because *I'm* chronically funky
What I have learned....the hard way.....if you have tendonitis....you must rest....ice..ice...ice.....until pain free...then and only then start with the mild stretches and move on SLOWLY...to strengthening....very slowly.....don't jump into exercise until your pain free and stop or reduce exercise if pain or soreness returns.....tendonitis is a real bitch to get rid of......be patient or like me you will relapse......
Goody goody
You're too freakin cute for words. This sentence is an abomination because they don't convey the adorable factor. The stretches were lovely too...
