I saw your vague FB post and now I understand! I have only had chicken liver pate and it's also something I have only eaten while out for Girl's Night 🧀🍷 I never even thought about making it any differently, let alone making it at all 🤯
I wouldn't eat foie gras, that's pushing it for me. I already only eat meat because others do the dirty deed. If I had to kill my food, I would have to be a vegetarian. Did you like it? I make chicken liver pate regularly, because sometimes I crave liver, but not badly enough to cook a whole meal. Having tiny portions in the freezer fixes the problem. :)
@@homesteadinginnorthflorida We are ex-vegetarians. I had some health (iron) issues years ago and decided to go back to meat. I need to tilt the scale a little more and incorporate more vegetarian meals though.
@@alway_scooking - I don't know how vegans do it. Iron, B12, etc. Apparently it works for some. So much overwhelming info on nutrition and what is wright and wrong, until couple years down the road the change it all up again. A problem of the privileged parts of the world, I suspect. I regularly cook meals with no meat. I think we would actually eat more meat, but good quality, humanely raised meat is rather expensive.
@@homesteadinginnorthflorida I understand. We moved from Tampa bay and there were some delicacies I could get from their local meat stores. Not around here though 😅
@@Elena-xk3bm - I get it. We're even more rural. I'm almost shocked Aldi recently added lamb. We don't even have a decent seafood store up here, despite being in between 2 oceans. Most stuff at Publix is farmed and sourced overseas. I often wonder: Where does Florida fish go?
Do you need to sieve this ?
I've never seen someone make this from scratch before. Interesting!
So easy! Duck liver is hard to come by, but if you like liver, chicken livers work, too.

where do you get your duck liver from Anita
It was from a friend. I've never seen it sold anywhere around here. Hence I normally make chicken liver pate.

@@homesteadinginnorthflorida I know. This can be a long conversation. I have my own observations when it comes to food.
Livers, onions, butter, pepper,.... 1 lbs of each.... ? Typical girls cooking.
LOL Easy on the pepper!
