I feel like this would be great for someone who's just starting to learn how to cook, like a kid or someone in a dorm, like you said. It's fairly straightforward and gives you most of what you need to make a decent meal without dealing with the live flame of a hot plate. I think this would have been so cool if I had gotten it as a kid, but I can see why as an adult/someone with more cooking experience, it wouldn't be the best investment.
It seems like a step up from an Easy Bake Oven
I have a hot plate without a flame. Thankfully!
I am smelling
Exactly!
Sadly most dorms will call that grill press a "hot plate" and say you cant have it... They did that my sandwich press.
why is this the most aesthetically pleasing product I've ever seen?
Literally tho 💜
Fr. Its perfect for college students who lives in a dorm but the price is not something a college student can afford.
It's stinkin' CUTE!
Ok I'm not a proponent of having counter clutter, but this is cute! Total easy bake oven vibes, nostalgic! I kind of dig it, Emmy you find the coolest kitchen stuff!!! 💜✨
I am breathing
🙌🏼
@@hypercane2023 happy to hear that
I think this is more for trips when you camp in a van or something.
@@akanesaotome5924 this would be cool for that use 😁
Have you seen the mint green retro mini fridge from Magic Chef? I feel like together they would make the most adorable micro kitchen ever.
Ha! I had to google it and they would look great together.
This reminded me of the look of the older Easy Bake ovens.
Omg that's what I said too lol! 💜
Just what I was going to say.
That’s exactly what I was thinking
I LOVED my EZ Bake Oven! Well....both of them! The original and then the one that looked like a real oven.
Yeah, me too.
Agreed with others, I would've loved this as a kid. It's not very efficient for adults though, but its so cute I almost just want to set it up in the corner just for looks haha
Had a really tough and sad day today, emmys videos always have such good vibes, really calms the soul ❤️
I hope your day gets a lot better, Captain 🥺💜
@@VioletBloom thank you sweet angel ❤️🥺
Glad to give you some cheer. 🧡
I’m glad you’re here with us!!! I made a comment similar to this on her last video and someone really crawled all over me for it! I was told how stupid I am ! People are just awful!!! Much ❤️
@@tinashort9098 I'm sorry you had to experience that, there are many wonderful people in Emmys community and I for one wish you all the best! I hope your day is full of relaxation, wonder and a little magic.... ✨
i just adore how open minded you are when it comes to food and appliances. I see so many pretentious or mean cooking youtubers that punch down on anything they can find, but you're always just so pleasant about what you're reviewing. thank you for your videos
You're most welcome!
Little tiny cooking things makes me SO happy! The time to cook seems a little slow especially for our McDonalized society but IT'S SO CUTE!! I probably would never own one but like Emmy said, a hot plate would probably work better. This is less mess though. It's crazy to think it's $80. Like the other cooking machine, it seems like "meh". It super fun watching this one! The little pan is adorable!! hahaha
I am eating
Tiny things are so cute and glad you enjoyed this one.
@@hypercane2023 whatcha eating?
@@MsPsych2009a burrito 🌯
@@hypercane2023 Yum!!! What kind?
Emmy, I picked up a spam slicing gadget from Amazon. Very niche, but it was $9. It’s like a giant hard boiled egg slicer. It’s a perfect time saver. ETA: Why am I sharing this? Because I’m in a weird mood and you used spam.
That was my first thought. I think she’s reviewed it.
I saw that slicer on a different channel, where the guy only uses Spam, of all kinds and loves his Amazon Spam slicer! Did you first see the slicer there or on Amazon?
I am having air
Oh, yeah!!! I had that gadget too. I used it to make this McDonald's Oreo Spam burger: ua-cam.com/video/ni4E7KbsvwU/v-deo.html.
I do enjoy all those weird little oddly-specific cookery machines 😍 Im not sure why, but I suspect it's the grownup-toy aspect, because no matter how old you get, you gotta play sometimes 😊 Also, I half expect there to be a Hello Kitty version of all these gadgets.... expect and want.
OMG a sanrio version of this would be the cutest!! 🥺💕
Girl same
Same here and I’m 40

I remember my first year in the military (2015) I bought a breakfast station for the weekends I'd wake up too late for breakfast at the chow hall. That thing was a trooper! I paid $25 for it and it had an oven, a griddle and a coffee pot all in the space of less than 16in ×10in × 12in. It still works to this day. I wanted a cute pink one so I paid $70 for one and it didn't work as well as my old one :(
Love your unusual appliances testing videos, Emmy. Would be interesting to see how it holds up under regular use for a few weeks.
You make the most unpretentious breakfast ever look like a lovely delicacy! I don’t think I’ve ever even eaten spam but now I feel like need to try it out 😂
Thank you!🧡 I think lovely food tastes better.
Honestly this piece of equipment looks like an old kitchen toy I remember from kindergarten. And for $80, I could probably get some more effective equipment pieces for the kitchen. Still, it looked like a good meal.
I especially LOVE that you showcased Spam in this video. I don't live far from Austin MN and I certainly like using Spam from time to time, often for breakfast dishes. Usually I'll cut it up into pieces like a ham and grill/saute it before throwing it into a scramble or an omelet.
I don’t know about other countries, but here in the US appliances like this are usually prohibited in dorms. I went to James Madison University 2004-2008 and even then, the only appliances allowed were a hot pot, electric kettle or small coffeemaker. Anything else wasn’t allowed because they were considered a fire hazard. Most of the dorms had a communal kitchen anyway. Anyway, I think this would be pretty cool for kids to use and learn the basics of cooking.
I mean... that's probably because it's a dorm. My experience with dorms was firefighters showing up multiple times in a month due to people triggering fire alarm through countless means. People who live in dorms are capable of burning even water, so not even a kettle is safe with them.
Omg I graduated from JMU in 2017!!
@@LordDragox412 Electric kettles will shut off automatically when the water starts boiling or if if there is no water at all. Also, a kettle with a base plate will lose power if it falls off the base so other than spilled water there isn't much danger.
Hey fellow Duke dog. I was in Rockingham hall. So many memories of fire alarms during the night due to burned ramen and popcorn.
Go Dukes! 2021 alumnus here, Eagle Hall!
Great option for kids who are beginning to cook. I'd trust my 10 year old with that machine while I'm at work more than a big stove.
Definitely
I was learning to cook when I was ten. The easy bake oven was a little too young for me but this would have been perfect.
I was thinking the exact same thing
Love her calm. Always a good video just when you need it. Thank you Emmy.
You're most welcome. 😊
Okay, why did the Spam skit from Monty Python come to mind when I watched this. “I don’t like Spam!!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ah yes, "spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, chips and spam" I remember!
For like a little travel station for hotels or maybe college kids, this is a really good idea. Plus it’s a great price point.
Yay, a new Emmy video! I'm making a cocktail and sitting down in front of my computer ...
I am from SERBIA and I love you all! 🤗❤️❤️
That looks so cute and seems like a better build quality than the last breakfast station you tried. This definitely would have been fun to have in college. It also feels like it should be featured on one of those tiny food cooking channels
Awww. It’s adorable 🥰. Thanks for reviewing this.
Spam! Love it! Always great to see it used and shown in a positive light. Oh no. That device powers on and off, not cool. I have an electric burner that does that, takes so long to even boil water, about three times as long for hamburger helper.
All I could think about was how cold that perfectly cooked egg got while it was waiting for one cup of water to boil 😂
I don’t know about anyone else but I find her voice so soothing! Emmy you should do like book reading videos or asmr or something like that. I would watch lol ❤️
Looking at the Amazon listing, The unit is 450W, so it could be used on a 1000W portable power station.
Emmy you are awesome. So adorable
Giving new meaning to "second breakfast". Your videos are great Emmy!!
This is a cute breakfast station. I love the retro color of it.😊
Yea. A hot plate seems more practical. In any urban setting
And if you're in a camping or RV situation where power draw is an issue, a rocket stove, chemical tablet fueled stove, or similar is probabaly a better bet. There are some portable camp or survival type stoves that can be fueled by pretty much anything that burns -- including locally sourced dead vegetation.
Would probably heat things faster than this, and be cheaper too.
Thanks so much for the chill video. Always a great way to wind down.
Brings back so much memories! Thank you emmy for making gong zai mien and spam sandwiches, they always made a great meal when I came home from a long and tiring day!
SPAM is #1 in my house! Everyone loves it, even better than bacon or sausage.
Fried SPAM, egg over-light very thinly sliced sweet onion, and Duke's mayo, is the breakfast, lunch, or dinner...of champions!
My kiddo ate the rest of my sammie and gave it a thumbs up, too.
@@emmymade Cool! I prefer the 'lite' SPAM to the regular type. But it's all good.
This is the first time I’ve stumbled upon a video of yours & I loveeeeee the calmness and overall great vibes I get through you in this video!! 😭💖
Man I'm just over here wanting a Brutalmoose and Emmymade collab video. Ian would keep making Emmy laugh and she wouldn't be able to get through any takes. It would be amazing xD
Hi Emmy, I am a relatively new subscriber. I love ❤️ Spam, but my body doesn't need that much salt !
I found a solution for the excess sodium 🧂 ☝️!
After slicing the Spam, lightly boil it in filtered water for about 5 minutes, the water goes cloudy with salt and excess fats. The fried treated Spam tastes even better than straight out of the can!
...FYI, tins of Spam can be stored/ left on shelves for years without going off due to the preservative level of Sodium in the cooked meat.
Originally, "SPAM" was an acronym for "Special Pork And Meats" 🐖🤔
Thanks for sharing , I might try it but I will not be a fan of salty meat. yuk!😵💫
Spamwich looks deleggtable!
Hi Emmy. Always love watching your videos. Always upbeat, always smiling, always informative.
Plus you are just so adorable.
Thank you.🧡
Looks delicious 💚
Great video as usual, Emmy! You’re amazing :) or rather, Emmazing!! Haha ❤️
You are fun!i love the look on your face and comments you make! Another great video!
Omg!!!!! So cute, just ordered one for my grandkids!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Can't wait!!!😍 Thanks Emmy!
All I kept thinking of while watching this is my Susie Homemaker oven from the 60's. The only heat source was an incandescent light bulb. This would be the top of the stove version. Lol!
Those toys look so cool. I would've loved one as a kiddo.
I find it interesting that there's a large enough market for things like this in 110v countries, I'd imagine if intended for the 230v market like the UK the heat output would be so much more beneficial and quicker.
Electrician, here. You're not going to put more Watts through something that size at 230VAC, either. It's set up to run just over 1KWh in both 230VAC and 120VAC models. It's going to work just fine in the US.
This is so stinkin' adorable!
Today was one of those days where everything just seemed to go wrong... I just had my 26th birthday on Tuesday and don't always feel like I know what I'm doing, so being able to sit back and watch somebody just play with a very simple thing like this really soothes my brain. Thank you Emmy.
That's tough, I'm sorry to hear that :( I hope your day turns out for the better today, and this stranger is so proud of you for going through a tough day. Keep on keepin' on, better days will come. And a happy belated born day to you! Wishing you a good year ahead 💖
Very cute device and 2 beautiful breakfast options!
"Ketchup blood" Lmfao what the heck lol that's hilarious!
that's my kine of breakfast. love it em!
I love the end takes soooo much. Xoxoxo
This little breakfast machine is so cute 🥰
Im never this early. Love you emmy!!!
Breakfast maker machine from amazon. Delicious eggs and spam, noodles I enjoyed eating spam. I know that spam is sizzling ( Thank you Emmy ❤️ ) Spam is salty, salty and yummy. WOW 😳 Breakfast egg and spam sandwich. It's worth it Emmy
This is the cutest lil thing ever and I want it! Lol
Loved this so much. And adding ketchup made it! I'm a ketchup and green onion fan.
I probably wouldn't use it, but that is one cute little cooking unit. Very pleasing to look at..
Just because I want to chatter, I make my instant ramen noodles in a snap close silicone steam bag. I put a square of the noodles right out of the pack in the bag, add some shredded cheese and some leftover cooked veggies, leftover fine diced meats if I have it, and a couple spoonful's of powdered coffee creamer and a dash of hot sauce, Add hot water fresh from my electric kettle and let it sit for about 5 minutes. I can add a small portion of the seasoning packet, if it's to bland and stir it all up and I have easy made ramen. Works great. It's delish!
This is such a cute, little cooking station. I would have loved to have it when I was a youngster just starting in the kitchen. Great review! 👍😊
When my mother died I inherited a single coil plug in heater, like the typical electric four hubs you have on an oven top, unused. I used it when my old oven went kaput and before my new one arrived. It takes much longer to heat up (like boil water) than electric ranges on an actual oven. And it doesn't appear to be like a super cheap brand either.
It's fun to watch you test out these gadgets!
Enjoyed this video
I'd imagine that the slower cooking time was meant to allow someone to get stuff started then continue getting ready for work/school/whatever while the food cooked. Then they just come back in a few minutes to continue to the next step and then get back to getting ready for the day. It seems less practical as a device to cook food while you stand there and wait.
With the right power needed this would be great for a van lifer who utilizes campgrounds or has access to shore power.. I like it..I'd use it in my van
Looks like a much better machine than the last one. Thanks Emmy for another awesome video😊
Looks so good! I love that little cooker lol
I have the big red one .just love it
You forgot to say eat the ducky moss. This was a really cute set. Too bad it has almost no power.
It's adorable!! I love the color! yum spam😊
Watching her makes me smile 🙂
Yay! 😄
Open Spam freezes very well. Just cover with plastic wrap or wax paper held in place with a rubber band and you can go to it for slices or julienne for ramen.
"FLYING KETCHUP!" 😂😂😂 Emmy, I love you.
You're using that appliance in America which runs on 120v ... If it were running in Asia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand etc, then it would cook a lot faster on the 240v outlets
This seems WAY better than that other breakfast appliance!
Green onions~Aaron’s favorite ingredient from Aaron and Claire👍👍. He knows what he’s talking about. Green onions are packed with flavor and full of vitamins and minerals.
Hi, Emmy - I tried "low-salt" Spam and was surprised it was really good! No flavor lost for the lower salt.
flying ketchup !
looooove you emmy! been a support since i was in elementary school (i’m 21 now) 🤞🏽💓
i like the way the lid clicks shut its so much more satisfying than the similar panini press/waffle maker i have
I’m so early!!! Love your videos!
Btw love the videos
Boy, that thing is ultra-cute! This kind of multi-appliance reminds me of apartment-sized sink-electric burner-refrigerator combos of the past, which are still available today. Just looking at Amazon, I see there are a number of brands of 3-in-1 stations beside the one you reviewed in May. I wonder if any of them are solid enough to warrant buying one?
That is adorable. And so are you dear! You remind me of my granddaughter!
That is so cute!!
Nice grilled cheese and tomato soup gadget. Fun video
That's what I thought too, it would be perfect for soup and sandwiches.
That is a very attractive appliance!
Interesting! Like you said, great for a dorm room for example!
I love Emmys excitement over the egg fitting perfectly on the bread
Hi Emmy! I wish hello fresh delivered here in Hawaii. Btw another nice video, cute mini cookers
Great for pre teens or a dorm room
This is the cutest little breakfast machine we've ever seen! 🥰 Eggs, sandwiches, AND ramen?! What more can we ask for! 🥪 🍳🍜
I had never had Spam up until a few weeks ago. I found it to be really good but not super salty as it's made out to be. I'd totally use this breakfast maker if I ever needed it 😅
Flying ketchup!! That looks really amazingly cute device, I love the color. It looks delicious too!
Looks like a Suzy Homemaker kiddie appliance from my childhood, especially the colour!
Perfect for soup and sandwiches! Plus it's safe, heat wise.
Everything came out really tasty looking!
For some reason, this kind of set up just feels “cozy” doesn’t it? I’m assuming your little UA-cam kitchen is a shed type situation which helps. Reminds me of the winter I spent in my friend’s pool house/guest house. I had a similar cooking station and I remember the awesome meals I made while it rained. felt so cozy 😊
I would love to see you try other Hong Kong cafe style recipes, like HK french toast (it's like if french toast was also a PB sandwich) or macaroni in soup, which is a really popular breakfast item in local cafes. They're so popular that Mcdonalds in Hong Kong have been offering their own macaroni soups for years! Great video as always.
Hi Emmy. This new gadget you used to different from the last one you used. But I am happy it worked out for you. I am so proud of you for all you do Emmy. God Bless you my friend. Stay Safe. Maria. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Omg....I grew up on saimin with spam and eggs!! But I had the spam sliced in strips and the egg scrambled and boiled with the noodles the same time, along with the spam. Perfect comfort food! And garnish with green onions👌
Also, the spam sandwich is great with ketchup!
Love your kitchen lights ! They look so pretty. I was wondering how much power the unit draws when both parts are running ?
Great content as always. In future vids like this, do you mind showing the cleanup? I was wondering if the grill pan comes off!
