    Add some cinnamon powder and it takes only a month be ready to actually plant in soil
    This was trued and tested alhamdulillah .I used the wild cherry locally grown they are tiny cherries.but it worked with plum seeds too am sure with other seeds too.
    Exactly what you showed in the vid but just sprinkle the cinnamon powder on the tissue and just do about 5 or 6 seeds at a time
    Thank you for sharing your methods and results.all the best with all your planting journeys and experiences

    I left some pits outside uncovered in a compostable bowl to dry. For a few days. They started to open so I pushed them into a container with soil. That was yesterday. I'll try to keep you updated if anything happens. I'm a first time gardener.

      You should stratify the seeds first, this greatly increases the rate of germination.

    I used a channel lock vise grip to crack the shells. The longer handles gave better leverage to crack the shells without crushing the seeds. Also, I just recently checked my seeds to see that the paper towel is still damp. They've been in the fridge for 3 weeks, at this point. I found that mold spots had developed all over the towel. Luckily, I did not leave the seeds undisturbed for the full 3 months!! I quickly exchanged the paper towel and returned the seeds to the fridge. So, my suggestion is to check on the seeds/paper periodically as it would be a shame to open the container after 3 months to find it covered in mold. By the by, some of the seeds were already starting to sprout :)

      the very best way to get the seeds out of the pits is to put the pits in a vISE. This is by far the best way to get to the actual seed inside the shells.

    Hello! I have tried this method. 4 germinated rooted seeds in a cup of soil have been in my fridge for a few months. I am scared that if I take them out, they will die because of the change of temperatures. Right now It is winter weather where I am, but I think Its too cold outside compared to the fridge to take them out there. I also think the change from the fridge to the house temp would be a quick change for the seed. Would the temperature change really hurt it?
    Also, would it hurt the seed if it’s transferred to sunlight near a window?
    I had already transferred 2 of the seeds I had during late November and put them outside in a shade but they did not make it. So I’m trying to get these last 4 I have survive and live to be grow and be healthy

    • @HowtodoChannelWORLD
      @HowtodoChannelWORLD  Рік тому +6

      Hi Maribel, I only put the seeds on soil after taking them out of the fridge. If they sprout in the fridge, when you take them outside the shock will be big. You cant keep them forever in the fridge. I suggest putting 2 plants outside and 2 indoors. For all plants prevent them from having big daily temperature variations. Please update us with how your cherry trees are developing! Thanks for your comment! 🙂👍

      Don't look for fast returns. Most take at least 6 years to produce a good quality fruit. Cherries are a strange fruit, they rarely produce a fruit that resembles the fruit the seed came from unless you graft it onto a known producer tree. I have a small cherry orchard and graft my 1 - 2 year stock on older producing trees to replace older or non-producing trees

    • @desamecyra1
