roxas duel wielding oblivion and oathkeeper will forever be the coolest keyblade set up to me and the fact i got to use them in kingdom hearts 3 too was just great.
Fun Fact in the Lore each keyblade you unlock is actually the same keyblade you started with but the appearance/abilities only change due to key chains attached to the blade
You forgot to include the wooden sword Sora uses in KH1 and the stick Roxas uses in days. Although they are not keyblades, I believe in the right hands, can rival any keyblade jk lol.
Well that's a premise you can apply in real life. You can give a fool a very powerful weapon and a master a piece of shit, and the master will come on top.
Plus the cool fact the chain is from his jacket and you see the checker design from his wrist band every time you land a hit Plus it's a round shape like hayner's dartboard
but then you gotta remember that it has the unique ability that, when you use a drive form with it equipped, it either forces you into Anti Form or *Forces you into Final Form*
Pretty sure the issue with this one (FYI I love it too bye the way) is that it's only in the Final Mix version as the original PS2 american version of Kingdom Hearts II I played was missing it but I could be imaging things.
Oathkeeper is my favorite. It's one of the most aesthetically cool key-blades and often one of the strongest. It's unfortunate that it was kind of nerfed in Kingdom Hearts 2, but they brought it back as one of the strongest weapons in Kingdom Hearts 3. Oblivion is cool too and does a lot of damage, but it's also one of the more generic looking key-blades, which is why I prefer Oathkeeper.
"But separately they're kinda lack-" KH3 my dude. Dark and light forms still slaps. It's just that dual wield still overshadows them. Also, Decisive Pumpkin only boost ground finishers. The keyblade from Olympus in KH2 is the one that boosts air finishers.
A keyblade from the first game that I think deserves a mention is the one Riku uses that is made of the princesses hearts. I believe it's the one keyblade that can unlock a person's heart. Maybe not the strongest but definitely unique.
This weapon is potentially incredibly powerful actually. Note that it can do all of this without having a Keychain. If it had a Keychain boosting it? It would be unstoppable.
While we don't have an official name yet, Yozora's Sword and Cross-Blaster should probably have been around Ultima-Weapon Tier as far as strength and power. Given the lack of info, this would've proven difficult to rank. (Also Magia and Aegis carry similar weapons so it can be assumed they hold a similar strength level)
All the keyblades mentioned in the video are my favorite plus oblivion, oathkeeper, riku's new keyblade because my most favorite is fenrir and that one is like a fenrir 2.0, two become one, one winged angel, metal chocobo, the kh1 and kh2 leon keyblades and the kh1 halloween town one which i forgot it’s name (pumpkin head i think it was), those are just the greatest keyblades to me!
Decisive Pumpkin will always be a lifesaver! At the current time I am attempting to get a 100% achievement (on playstation) for kingdom hearts one, two, and three. I’m almost finished with kh1 so now I’m playing kh2 and dang, that keyblade is great. Especially on the runs where I want to finish it as fast as possible so I don’t have time to go for the ultima! Also I love the design and the fact that every time you hit something little pumpkins fly out of it. So cute!
Don't forget the zero one keyblade. It's BUSTED in recoded. Not only can it land all critical hits, but the targeting scope can pretty much hit any enemy at a distance without needing to hit them.
I think it's important to note that Sora's Kingdom Key is technically changing it's form based on Sora's experiences and connections. So even if you use the Ultima Keyblade or the Fenrir, it's still technically the Kingdom Key growing stronger and responding to Sora's heart. The same could be said for Roxas, the Wayfinder Trio and the X Saga player with their Starlight (which I would have included on this list).
If we keep to KH 1 lore, the appearance of the Keyblade is based on the attached key-chain. It's not that Sora keeps getting the Swords, it's more like he keeps getting key-chains.
@@KEEYBLADE I wonder if these are little keepsakes Sora receive that turn into Keychains. Like when Cloud handed Sora the Metal Chocobo. I don't know if it started out as a keychain or if it was a trinket that turned into a keychain. In any case, I think the power of the key chains might have something to do with the Memories or bonds Sora made when receiving a Key Chain.
In kingdom hearts lore, the X-blade is supposed to be the strongest and original keyblade in which all other keyblades gain their appearance from. My personal favorite of the strongest keyblades, which I personally think is the closest to the strength of the X-blade, is the Ultima Weapon Keyblade.
Glad I’m not the only one that thinks the Oathkeeper in oblivion were always meant to be paired together, whether it by the same individual wielding them, or on the same battlefield
I’m surprised the key blade Zero one didn’t get brought up despite the fact it literally gives guaranteed crits and infinite range if you have a lock on an enemy
Decisive Pumpkin may have an iffy design, but it really was my favorite go-to keyblade in that game and overall for the series because of its utility 😂. I think Wheel of Fate might've finally taken over because of its also quality usage, its immaculate design, and its cool af keyblade transformations; Sora just moves too cool with it 🤩.
Ultima Weapon is probably my favorite Keyblade esthetically aside from the X-blade, Young Xehenort's Keyblade, Void Gear, and Kingdom Key. They all just look so cool to me. The designs and the colors are just too perfect.
After hearing about Omega and how it was meant to be a reflection of Ultima, I just think it'd be a fun video to watch of what keyblades should be paired with which if given the possibility. Just think about it, we've only ever had one instance when keyblades were paired together, Oathkeeper and Oblivion (And the Combined Keyblade if you want to count that), but there are other keyblades that would fit in a set and would probably look cool being dual wielded, like Kingdom Keys L and D or as said Ultima and Omega.
Re:Coded has a weapon called Zero/One: Ideally, it bypasses defenses, crits with every hit, and can *hit enemies at a distance with its physical swings* as long as the lock-on reticule registers an enemy's health bar!
5:40 there's a little problem there, unless the coding is a mess, 'coz there is an Air combo boost (also in herc's keyblade) in the game, so combo boost should only apply to ground combo
The Iron chocobo from Kingdom hearts 1 original. it was a weapon that lowers your mana, but had ridiculous strengh boost for a weapon that you can unlock at the begining of the game
I would like to think sora still has the X blade but just doesn’t choose to use it. Kingdom key will always be his primary 😎 keep up the amazing videos Sky
There's also an Omega Weapon+ in days that's slightly stronger in exchange for getting much lower enhancements but lacks the Risky Play ability. It's also easier to obtain, being obtained through synthesis. (As an aside, the standard Omega Weapon was also slightly easier to obtain in Japan, requiring only that one obtain 180 mission crowns. I do recall reading though that crowns weren't obtainable through solo play in Japan.)
Funnily enough Fenrir was my go to keyblade in Unchained/UnionX. Near the end of the game I always had it equipped and used it til UnionX ended service. Wish Unchained’s version of Keyblades could be used.
What about the nauchtflugal/yozora's sword mixed with so easy key blade, by the design, it looks like it is mixed with the ultima weapon, so shouldn't it be up there too basically?
Remember when the Keyblade was special, and there was only 3 keyblades in total? Now Keyblades are so common place that, when one breaks, they are just like "well thats inconvenient. Lets stop by the local gas station and pick up a Gatorade, they will throw in a free Keyblade with it."
Honestly there is an even stronger keyblade than the original X-blade in the lore because the original X-blade was shattered into 13 pieces by another keyblade but nobody knows where they both went
The kingdom key d was needed because two keyblades of light could not close the door to darkness mickey needed a keyblade from the dark realm to close it it’s why in kingdom hearts recoded mickey used his original keyblade if not for the link to the dark realm it’s just an ordinary keyblade
So here’s my headcannon for the ultima weapon A keyblade forged to try and surpass the x-blade but was a failed attempt.Causing it to fracture into diffrent forms of itself Later sora, aqua, Tera, and ventas would find the keyblade and wield them While organization 13 attempted to mimic the Ultima weapon by creating a poor imitation the Omega weapon
What u said about oblivion and oathkeeper are actually fax. They high tier keyblades deffly but individually speaking, they aren't higher tier than the ones on the list.
A bummer that the Lingering Will's Ends of the Earth keyblade isnt here given its Powerful Transformations(Longer Blade,Whip,Arm Gauntlet,Bow,Cannon,Damaging Gear, and the infamous Glider).
So like, i just played a lot of the kh series for the first time last week and i guess i was licky cuz i accidentally'd into getting the ultima weapon in kh2. All i was missing was the orichalcum
Every game should have had ng+ like kh3, where you keep your keyblades and nothing else to be able to play with the stronger blades. The earlier games not having it means there are so many truly useless keyblades, that would have been really fun to use if the game had content after obtaining them. A short list of would be good keyblades; One Winged Angel kh1, any endgame bbs or ddd keyblade, recoded ultima weapon, zero gear and omega gear because you already have critical sun, and the winner's proof in kh2.
I wouldn't call Oathkeeper and Oblivion the strongest keyblades, just more likely the most iconic, or rather giving the most emotion, I guess, specifically Oathkeeper
I doubt Sora still has the X-blade. The X-blade operates by a certain set of rules for a wielder to properly, maintain possession of it. Both the X-blade and Kingdom Hearts have a coexisting relationship. The X-Blade gets it’s power from kingdom hearts itself. So in order for Sora to use it, he would have to summon Kingdom Hearts every time. If anything the X-blade is back at Kingdom Hearts where it belongs until a wielder proves itself that it can protect it.
X-blade I don't think it's for combat use. there are many times before it can easily be broken in both ways. one way if it's not in the user's hands and two if the hearts are not all together or pulled out. it well break. it's meant to be used to lock and unlock the true kingdom hearts it's self. rather for other uses of it's power.
I have to disagree with Oathkeeper and Oblivion. Oathkeeper does have magic power on its side, but physically, other Keyblades beat it out. I can't really argue much for its case. But from the get-go, even if stats don't necessarily reflect as much in some games, Oblivion is supposedly one of the heaviest damage dealing Keyblades out there. In KH1, its one of the three strongest Keyblades, and in 358/2 Days, in Riku's hands, as well as when Roxas wields it by itself, Oblivion EATS AWAY at the opponents HP.
