the DLC is BY FAR the most fun I had with KH3, and I think that's a pretty shared sentiment with most people. new moves for Sora, the data org/yozora all feel more like KH2 bosses, and a bunch of juiced up themes for the data real-org fights to make them all feel fresh and worth experiencing for alone. also the remind episode was pretty cool and a little more satisfying of a finale than the base game, but i found it to be a little forgettable relative to limitcut stuff

@MikoArkamei I followed and completed all the the games since its inception. As I said kh3 was so disappointing for me that I uninstalled and paid it no mind for years. Also no I don't live under a rock I just have a job like most people and I cannot allocate as much time to play games like when I was 12.
@@joshuafallet5690 Same, I finished up 3 and thought to myself "That was it?" I knew there was DLC, never cared to check on it because I thought it was going to be more slop thrown at the game as a cash grab.
This is a great watch! ^_^ I loved learning more about the series' superboss history; I never knew BBS had so many! I only ever hear people mention Mysterious Figure when discussing the game. I've recently been going through KH3 critical mode AND limit cut for the first time. I'd always been intimidated by KH's highest difficulty and superbosses in the past- I never was able to beat the Data Org. in KH2 back in the day even on normal- so I figured that that intense challenge just wasn't for me. However, I've been finding both critical mode and KH3's data org. to be so much fun! It absolutely kicks my butt, but the challenge feels fair, the cinematic presentation of the bosses is awesome and all the music remixes are top tier. Makes me wanna replay KH2 at some point to tackle the Data Org. in earnest!
To this day Yozora is the hardest video game boss fight I’ve ever had. It took me months to take him down because I’d second guess myself and that 1/100th second mistake is all it would take for him to come back and beat me. I was so excited and proud when I finally beat him.
When I revisited KH1 I remember leveling 30 levels through Sephiroth before beating Unknown. Once you know Sephiroth's Moveset and abuse Leaf Bracer to I-Frame his oneshot skill, he becomes pretty tame.
Honestly, I have beaten many of the superbosses, but the hardest ones have just......kicked my ass. Unknown, Lingering Will, all the BBS ones except for Venitas, Julius, and Xehanort & Yozora all have eluded me.
Always have a part of me that wants to tackle the super bosses, but I'm not sure I'll ever have the persistence to pull them off. I've only ever beaten Kurt Zisa/Phantom/Ice Titan in KH1, and Sephiroth in Kh2, so there are quite a lot I haven't managed at all (I used tornado cheese with ventus the Vanitas fight in BBS but I don't feel like I can accept that xD) There's always a part of me that wants to, but I won't be surprised if at best I can get myself to beat KH1 Sephiroth if I pick up the series again. Data Org and the like all feel so daunting to me lmao
I beat everything in KH1, 2, and BBS. I was VERY mad at what they did to Kairi in KH3, so I only played for the plot. I took a swing at Data Larxene and lost in 10 seconds. I didn't see Yozura coming and I lost in 5 seconds without a retry. I haven't played KH3 since...
3:11 I like that you say he has a variety of attacks and patterns that you have to learn while in the background using Strike Raid, an attack that can make you completely invincible to him for the entire fight if youre built right. Not sure if intentional, but funny.
i remember back then when i was still a kid, i couldnt beat Lingering Will, which my brother couldnt also beat, i felt so defeated back then i sulked and never opened KH2 ever again, until i came back when i was middle school and finally beat him after years of defeat
Wow you helped me articulate why I like KH1 more than KH2. Before I never put much thought into it but KH1 has more emphasis on the classic JRPG aspects than KH2 like how you describe the phantom superboss. In the past KH2 was my favorite but KH1 has a special charm to me now.
I still have nightmares only thinking about Sephiroth KH2, and the organization 13 secret boss of KH3! Doing a ranking of all the Bosses in KH franchise (Secret boss and normal boss) will be a really good video!!!
Kh3 may have not been a perfect game by pacing standards but it perfected the combat, the data fights feel more like a dance after learning them, since on critical you get hit once and end up at 1 hp. And being designed to be played at max level they don't leave room for grinding, the only thing between losing or winning is YOUR physical execution
I cheesed Sephiroth in KH2 using the Fatal Crest method. Got a ton of Elixers, used my Magic to unleash Trinity Limit, then used the Berserk Charge to endlessly wreck Sephi's shit, use Elixer, rinse and repeat, then hit him with a finisher to end the fight.
@@niklasw.1297 yeah! The only downside is that you need to have a ton of Elixirs (though anything that heals you to full and isn't magic will work) to do it. You're basically constantly refilling your HP and using berserk charge and trinity limit over and over again.
I love how the hardest boss in each game is a teaser for the future entry KH 1 secret boss is KH 2 final boss KH 2 secret boss is one of the KH BBS protagonists KH BBS secret boss is tge main antagonist of KH DDD Anf KH 3 Re Mind secret boss will be relevant in KH IV
I was incredibly sad when I realized that Sephiroth wasn't in KH3 at ALL, even as DLC. Given how well he acted as a final test of your abilities in the first two games, having him in KH3 would've been awesome. I HOPE that when KH4 drops, they not only have Sephiroth as a super boss, but they use his FF7 Remake depiction, and his fight has him tear up the city hub world that was teased in the reveal trailer, and chuck buildings and cars at Sora. Would be a great way to test the player's knowledge of KH3's mobility as well as whatever new gimmicks KH4 introduces, notably the grappling hook.
How many times we have to face sephiroth? Kh3 dlc gave us the best bosses in the whole series so I can't complain about the fights we had. Also in kh2 he was more a tutorial for the actual superbosses (data org/terra) similar to what dark inferno is to the true data org and yozora in kh3
@@SimCon02 what’s the problem? Sephiroth is an awesome villain (cooler in design than any original KH villains) and was a fantastic fight in the first two games. We’ve fought almost every org 13 member at least twice now, yet three times is too many for Sephiroth? Give him an updated move set and design more akin to FF7 Remake or Rebirth.
@@FrogWalrus I'm not against Sephiroth; I like his fights in the series, and I like him as a character, but I can't see how his absence can be used as an argument against the superbosses we have had in the DLC; him being a good villain doesn't disprove the gameplay masterpiece that the data fights and Yozora were. I'm way more satisfied with new things like yozora or lingering will back in the days, rather than something we already know everything about. If we had Sephiroth instead of Dark Inferno, it would have been better for sure, but if I must choose between him and Yozora, I would take Yozora without any doubts. The perfect situation would have been Sephiroth + Data Org + Yozora in the same dlc.
I remember completely wrecking Unknown in KH1FM. Mainly because when I finally got around to beating him, I had gotten to Max Level and did all the synthesis stuff. I also summoned Tinkerbell as a precaution, but really didn't end up needing her. The free healing was nice though, but Unknown went down so fast I was kind of surprised that people said he was a very difficult boss fight. But I'm sure he would have been on a lower level as I was 100 with the Ultimate Weapon. Still fun boss fight though
Still the first videogame series that comes to mind when I think of the term "Superbosses". I even appreciate some of the questionably/objectively awfully designed stuff like Mysterious Figure (and most of the superbosses in the handheld entries, really) on some level, because I genuinely can't find that blend of top tier aesthetics and genuinely bonkers "was this even playtested" encounter design in any other series. That said, True Data Org into Yozora is one of the best boss gauntlets I've experienced in the medium. Genuinely can't wait to see if KH4 has boss design to match it, be it in the base game or in DLC (And tbh, I think I'd almost prefer the latter)
BBS superbosses biggest issue (felt the same during the final boss) is that your main commands dont work anymore. Ars solumn doesnt works even if you have an opening due to the ranom stagger break, and many other commands just.... dont do anything. Thus the play has to spam rolls and surges to do any meaningful damage. Revenge value would have been much better here
You can't mention Recoded without the Eliminator, a much stronger version of the Defender heartless that can appear and chase you in lategame floors. It's a quick KO if you're not prepared.
8:35 really surprised me because not to toot my own horn too much but my last few play through on Proud and Critical Mode had me obtaining the gold crown before reaching 70. Not to say the fights weren’t a grind each on their own though. I got pretty competent with Lingering Will’s Revenge Counter and reflecting his penultimate attack near the second phase. The only time I maxed out Lvl. 99 was on vanilla KH II for naught💀
I'd argue the superbosses in KH2 and KH3 are better puzzles than KH1. If we want to talk about Phantom, for example, that fight's "puzzle" is matching colours and making sure you brought enough ethers for a 6-10 minute fight. For Ice Titan, that one's more about timing your blocks correctly. For KH2 and KH3, the puzzle is finding out when you're able to damage the boss without getting damaged yourself. Both of games have bosses unleashing barrages of attacks on you, but unlike BBS and DDD, the bosses have consistent openings that can be taken advantage of. However, you need to find the openings and some of the later fights do a really good job of hiding where the openings are.
@keystone5750 The learning where openings are kinda applies more to kh3 than kh2. The problem with kh2 superbosses (and enemies in general) is that their revenge value is so flawed that players found more ways to break them than to fight them normally, without actually learning their moveset.
Mad man : “how interesting . I’m going to kill them all on level 1.” Data org : “you’re bluffing.” Mad man : “on critical mode.” Data org : “Are you insane?!” Mad man : “on level 1” Data org : “lol, there is no way” Mad man : “it’s morbin time!” So began a long standing tradition of super bosses in kh being massacred by Sora.
@otdreamer193 kh3 + remind + the various patches we had, are basically the equivalent of a final mix version. Kh2 started as a vanilla version as well,, with ton of things only added and adjusted in the final mix, two years after the first realease. Kh4 will not be any different from kh3 under this point, because the concept of dlc is omnipresent in the videogames marketing nowadays.

How the hell you don't know about remind? I don't even fuck with DLC but Dragon Ball, Spider and Kingdom Hearts made me change my mind. Boy, do you even follow KH??? Not sorry cuz that shit came out years ago even if you didn't buy it... Talk about under a rock
@MikoArkamei
I followed and completed all the the games since its inception.
The sa2 aesthetic goes so well with Kingdom Hearts, you might be a genius
Yozora stealing the kupo coin pissed me off so much lmao, even your inventory isn't safe from him
When I revisited KH1 I remember leveling 30 levels through Sephiroth before beating Unknown.
Once you know Sephiroth's Moveset and abuse Leaf Bracer to I-Frame his oneshot skill, he becomes pretty tame.
I can’t even imagine how fast and mix up heavy sephiroth would have been if he was in kh3. I can’t believe they didn’t include him
Beating Yozora took so much patience and is one of my proudest gaming accomplishments. Sephiroth 1 and 2 too.
I've only ever beaten Kurt Zisa/Phantom/Ice Titan in KH1, and Sephiroth in Kh2, so there are quite a lot I haven't managed at all (I used tornado cheese with ventus the Vanitas fight in BBS but I don't feel like I can accept that xD)
There's always a part of me that wants to, but I won't be surprised if at best I can get myself to beat KH1 Sephiroth if I pick up the series again. Data Org and the like all feel so daunting to me lmao
I still can't believe they've put Batman in there as a knight.
(joke at the design of Lingering Will)
I don't know what the difference is, but it's still a great video.
combining my two favorite video games together in a vid is so crazy for me
Kingdom Hearts video with Sonic Adventure 2 OST, you’re the best bro🖤👽
I beat everything in KH1, 2, and BBS. I was VERY mad at what they did to Kairi in KH3, so I only played for the plot. I took a swing at Data Larxene and lost in 10 seconds. I didn't see Yozura coming and I lost in 5 seconds without a retry. I haven't played KH3 since...
3:11 I like that you say he has a variety of attacks and patterns that you have to learn while in the background using Strike Raid, an attack that can make you completely invincible to him for the entire fight if youre built right. Not sure if intentional, but funny.
Shadow wizard money gang is just a perfect rendition of that organization
Amazing video with such detail! Will return to form and play these games too. Subscribed!
...I now have a strong urge to play Sonic Adventure 2.
The transition at 17:54 was very clean
i remember back then when i was still a kid, i couldnt beat Lingering Will, which my brother couldnt also beat, i felt so defeated back then i sulked and never opened KH2 ever again, until i came back when i was middle school and finally beat him after years of defeat
kh2 video with sa2 music, a video made for me specifically
You forgot a superboss in KH1. Fighting Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie at the same time
Awesome editing with the theme and tracks of sa2b
Wow you helped me articulate why I like KH1 more than KH2. Before I never put much thought into it but KH1 has more emphasis on the classic JRPG aspects than KH2 like how you describe the phantom superboss. In the past KH2 was my favorite but KH1 has a special charm to me now.
I like how this guy uses Sonic music for the series
A Kingdom Hearts video with Sonic Adventure 2 music... I love it.
I still have nightmares only thinking about Sephiroth KH2, and the organization 13 secret boss of KH3! Doing a ranking of all the Bosses in KH franchise (Secret boss and normal boss) will be a really good video!!!
RUNNING AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND, GOT PLACES TO GO GOTTA **FOL-LOW MY RAIN-BOW!!!!**
Respects for mentioning Dust Flier from Kh 358 days. He had no business being that epic.
I came here to listen more of my favorite series but leaving to want to play Sonic Adventure 2 😅
Recently 100%’ing KH 1.5 & 2.5 FM, I can safely say beating Sephiroth and Lingering Will gave me a joy that I’ll hold onto for awhile lol
We have the re:member fan mod by ven, but I can’t wait to see how Sora incorporates Yozora’s moves from the dlc.
I didn't know there is a cheese for Sephiroth. Impressive
@@niklasw.1297 yeah! The only downside is that you need to have a ton of Elixirs (though anything that heals you to full and isn't magic will work) to do it. You're basically constantly refilling your HP and using berserk charge and trinity limit over and over again.
I love how the hardest boss in each game is a teaser for the future entry
KH 1 secret boss is KH 2 final boss
KH 2 secret boss is one of the KH BBS protagonists
KH BBS secret boss is tge main antagonist of KH DDD
Anf KH 3 Re Mind secret boss will be relevant in KH IV
BRUH THE HOURS I SPENT TRYING TO BEAT LINGERING WILL JUST TO SEE THAT!!
3 of my favourite secret bosses of all time
Calling it 179 days hurt
Lmao I thought I was having a stroke when I heard that😂
17:56 we gotta put some resepct on that
I remember completely wrecking Unknown in KH1FM.
My hot take is I think Lingering Will was harder than Yozura.
Revenge value would have been much better here
23:25 lmfao
Sepherioth was voiced by NSYNC member Lance Bass in KH1, and I just love the boss fight! 😍😍
You can't mention Recoded without the Eliminator, a much stronger version of the Defender heartless that can appear and chase you in lategame floors. It's a quick KO if you're not prepared.
I like for the SA2 themes and video concept
Also if you try to hit Mysterious Figure with a keyblade combo rather than a command ability, he REWINDS TIME. Absurdly broken boss
Love the City Escape music lmao
Unkown in KH1 was funny, since I beat him on my first try by spamming the one move that gave invuln during the animation
omg! Xion is my favorite fight too! actually, she's my favorite boss fight in any game ever!
I had to use the Fenrir jump-instafinisher cheese strat to beat Lingering Will 😬
Judging from all the Sonic Adventure 2 inspired stuff, I'm guessing you're also a Sonic fan, aren't you?
How did he not mention the heartless angel can be interrupted in kh2 💀
This is a very interesting video.
Mad man : “how interesting . I’m going to kill them all on level 1.”
Data org : “you’re bluffing.”
Mad man : “on critical mode.”
Data org : “Are you insane?!”
Mad man : “on level 1”
Data org : “lol, there is no way”
Mad man : “it’s morbin time!”
So began a long standing tradition of super bosses in kh being massacred by Sora.
re coded had the best command system
You're wild.
I remember some of these bosses I was maxing out on Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
For some of the Data organization members I was around level 60 due to them being gimmick fights.
😂that logo at the beginning go hard ngl
Mysterious Figure was the only new addition to the English version of Kingdom Hearts 1
Hand it over, that thing, your Kingdom Heart.
Am I to assume there is no super bosses in chain or re chain of memories?
I’m still upset we didn’t get a full Final Mix treatment for KH3.
