That's what happened to my aunt who bought KH1 for my cousin and I when we were really young, they thought "oh Disney! This is a kids game.". And not even the adults could beat the game
Well he wasn't totally wrong. KH is directed towards a younger audience, but they know there's a more hardcore fanbase that loves Critical mode & Data bosses.
Top 5 gameplay wise: 1. Yozora (KH3) 2. Data Xemnas (KH3) 3. Data Marluxia (KH3) 4. Sephiroth (KH2) 5. Data Xion (KH3) Top 5 in story context: 1. Roxas (KH2) 2. Guardians vs Vessels (KH3) 3. Xion (Days) (pls remake this game Square) 4. Xemnas (KH2) 5. Riku-Ansem (KH1)
1: Final Xemnas, the entire atmosphere of that against a being for all intents and purposes is empty on the inside malice in his voice as he give you the final speech before the fight begins, and the final sequence is oh so beautiful, 2: KH 3: ReMind Xehanort, While yes the base game Xehanort fight fell a little flat comparing it to other final bosses, in Re-Mind they actually fixed his fight and I very much prefer it to his original an entire new move set to learn, using 13 No-Name Keyblades behind him, and in his armor I really wish this was the Xehanort Fight we got in base KH 3, 3: KH 3 Saix, Saix has always been one of my favorite Organization 13 Members cause of his Berserk gimmick which really makes you think and time your attack and tests your patience for his gauge to run out and onslaught him with attacks + with the added Addition of Roxas and Xion on your side for this battle, really makes any 358/2 Day's fans really happy
The Xion boss fight and cutscene in 358/2 days will always stick with me. I don’t normally get super emotionally invested in a story but watching her fall apart in Roxas’s hands made me cry.
Top 5 fights in the whole Series (for me) 1: Roxas/Data Roxas (Ngl I almost cried when bro died) 2: Final Xemnas/Normal Xemnas (KH2FM) 3: Sethiroth (KH2FM) 4: Lingering Will 5: Terra-Nort (BBSFM)
My favorite of all time is Roxas, Xion, Axel vs Saix and Xemnas. The connection I have with Kingdom Hearts started with Roxas. So having that fight be so emotional is what makes it top tier
For me, I had a similar experience to your Severov in KH2 but in the vanilla version of KH one I remember, shivering with excitement when I finally got him to the yellow bar of health only for him to pull out a new move and finish me off again That combined with my heavy nostalgia for the Disney Classics got me hooked on this amazing series
I really loved Lingering Will's boss fight when Final Mix finally came out. That was what I saw on UA-cam back in the day that I thought was people hacking the game
Alright, ill give my own top 3 in the entire series and why. 1. Julius: Although being a secret boss post-game for Triple D, he's the player's ultimate test in both patience and how well you've mastered Sora's and Riku's abilities. And although you can use Balloonga to counter him, if you take on the Frankenstein pete normally, you will learn to HUG that glide button and FEAR his lightning fists. Getting hit by his lightning fists will cancel one of your commands, or rapidly cancel them if he has lightning in his fists and he does his butt scoot. 2. Master Xehanort: All that pain. All that suffering that was caused onto Sora, all of it has led to this final clash between light and dark in KH3. Keep on your toes or he will make you fear him. Hes even more aggressive in his Data battle, so watch out! 3. Final Mans-err I mean Xemnas- The most satisfying fight in KH2. Fitting that its the finale of the game. Need I say more? Honorable mention: Hydra - GET UP ON THE HYDRA'S BACK
Sephiroth was the ultimate challenge for me when i first played KH2. I played the original PS2 release, and i had even went getting my hands on Ultima Weapon, intending on beating him with it, only to forget to switch to the thing and best him with the Kingdom Key
Maybe its not a boss battle but my favorite is at the end of 3 when you get to use all the players keyblades against the darkness Just pure joy culminating from a long time worth of love for the series and waiting forever so when i saw all those keyblades it was a joy I cant describe
Amazing work man, your content is amazing, keep it up. In terms of best boss fights for me, it would have to be 1. Roxas (KH2) 2. Xemnas (KH2) 3. Data Xion (KH3) 4. Yozora (KH3) 5. Final Ansem (KH1) Honourable mentions: The 3 elemental titans from olympus (KH3) The final wolf boss in frozen (KH3) You fight a massive wolf, how can that not be cool.
I’ve played almost every KH game, yet Roxas/Data Roxas from 2 is still my favorite. Not only is Roxas my favorite character so being able to fight him is super cool, but this fight shows exactly what KH boss design should be in my opinion. Almost all of Roxas’ attacks can be parried or avoided if you learn their tells. With enough practice, Roxas goes from a frustrating fight to one of the most fun to replay. In terms of other amazing KH fights, Xemnas from 2, Yozora from 3, Davy Jones from 3, and the Re:Coded Trickmaster fight are some others I love.
Best 3 boss fights in my opinion… 1. Roxas from KH2 2. Terra-Xehanort from Terra’s Story in Birth By Sleep 3. Young Xehanort from Dream Drop Distance Keep in mind these have nothing to do with difficulty or skill level but Moreso with environmental design and how much fun these boss battles were for me… I love those 3 boss fights to the core…
Even though its side content I still love the armor of eraqus fight from bbs. The fight is slightly different for each character. With the ost master tell me the truth you really do get the feels as well. Its like the final step before becoming a keyblade master. I love that normura puts so much meaning even into the story even when its locked behind optional content.
And in the og psp final mix version you could do that fight and no heart in coop so if you fight it with terra aqua and ventus, that meant that armor of eraqus could acces each different style depending of who he grab with his chains
Something I would add to the xion entry is that her special attacks in each world are the ones you would use as sora in KH1, using sonic blade in wonderland, ars arcanum in agrabah and the ball thingy in halloween town
My top 3 favorites, 3. Davy Jones (KH3) This is a bit of an extreme guilty pleasure of mine because he's pretty easy and he has very little significance as a character, but everything else is awesome. The boss themes in KH3 are some of the GOATs, they all create a huge sense of proportion and just generally make you feel really cool. On top of that, the setting of the fight is one of my favorites, being in the maelstrom with the kraken doing things and affecting the fight in different ways. The visual changes that the Pirates world has against every other world in the series is jarring yet cool if nothing else, but in this fight it escalates it to help it feel even larger than it already was. It's also a pretty satisfying fight, with his constant movement and disorientation. I also love the cutscene beforehand, where Davy Jones kills Will and then Sora Donald and Goofy jump him as if they were mugging him, like he isn't a near immortal sea god thing, it's hilarious. 2. Roxas (KH2) I love Roxas as a character, one of my favorites in the games. Gameplay wise, all of his attacks conglomerate to create a boss fight that really doesn't feel like any other boss in the series. He has his own identity from his attacks alone. He has one of the best reaction commands in the game, giving you an obsurd power trip from the 3 Keyblades at once. In terms of story, it's rare for a boss fight in a game to make me sad (most of the boss fights that do make me sad are in the KH series), but this fight and its theme kind of depress me. More than anything else, this fight is essentially a massive, desperate burst of rage by a man who was never supposed to exist, having everything he had gained in the short time that he had existed taken away from him because a dude (Sora) he's never met needed him to give it all up. 1. Lingering Will. Just a perfect boss fight, I think. Always keeping you moving, always keeping you careful, forcing you to learn what he does and how to play around it. His theme is also among my favorite of all time in terms of video game music.
One of my favorite boss fights from kingdom hearts is Marluxia from re chain of memories. Not only does he have a third phase, but he can make you lose all of your cards with a move called Whirlwind to the Void. He also can instantly kill you with doom if you dont break his chain of cards within 6 seconds.
The Riku fight was easy for me in KH1, but you know which one really got me? The Maleficent Dragon. I probably sat through that cutscene 13+ times before I realized I should summon Tink 😭
KH bosses and especially 2 and 3 with remind has some of the best bosses overall. Till today Final Xemnas is my favorite Boss of all time. As remind came Data Xemnas was the hardest for me to beat. I adored every lost of him just because he was so amazing. If I have to rank the bosses I would say 1. Final Xemnas 2. Remind Data Xemnas 3. Remind Data Xigbar (because my favorite Organization member) 4. Roxas 5. Data Xion 6. KH2 Data Luxord 7. Lingering Will 8. Terranort with Aqua at the final episode. 9. Sephiroth both 1 and 2 10. Riku ansem. He is my favorite Boss if KH1 but I just cherish everyone above him so much more because I have much more memories of them.
I would have to say my top 5 boss battles would be 1. Lingering Will 2. Final Xemnas 3. Xehanort (kh3) 4. Roxas (kh2) 5. Marluxia (kh2) I enjoy these battles because of the feel of these battles and I love the satisfaction that I received from finally beating these battles. Especially the lingering will because it took me 3 days to beat him lol
3 Roxas so emotional so great 2 ansem xamnas and young xeohneart riku sora and mickey fighting together was everything 1 xemnas dream drop distance I just fought that guy for more than 4 months
As a teenager I modded my ps2 to play KH2 Final Mix (and also bought the Game from japan, so yeah I was Happy to see every FM Cutscene in KH2.5) Possessed Riku is also my favorite Boss and the Boss i had the most Problems with on my lvl1 Run. In Sephiroth fights. for me KH1 Sephiroth was harder
I remember my brother and I spending hours trying to beat Sephiroth in KH2 back in the early days. He got close a few times but I kept getting floored. But one day, after hours of grinding and item crafting elixers (we had that thick guidebook), I took another stab at it. I got him down to 4 health bars and called my brother in. He just watched in awe as I finally beat Sephiroth and got bragging rights. Which didn't last long as he decided to try and got him right after me.
the sora vs rinsler just gave me an idea in kh4 maybe we shouldn’t fight vader initially but befriend anakin then fight him as vader in the sequels could be a lot more emotional
I've always been partial to the Groundshaker fight. I LOVE it. The huge arena and the fact that the boss itself is pretty much part of the stage is crazy fun. Wish you could go back and replay the normal bosses like with the data org.
I swear to god 12 year old me doing proud mode riku, I was able to quote that entire cutscene by heart by the time I was done doing the original game and to this day it haunts my dreams.
My top 3 boss battles would be: 3.) Xion (358). Credit where it's due, this fight i felt was a major build up to what would give us insight to Roxas pre-kh2. And it didnt disappoint (though most of the game still did) 2.) Cerberus (KH2). Im just a sucker for Auron, and getting to team up with him just made me giddy 😄. 1.) Sai'x (KH3: Re:Mind). Getting to play as Roxas and team up with Axel and Xion, seeing their big Limit attack, all the background behind it, just culminating into this fight where the 3 get to reunite AND fight for and with each other was just all around fantastic for me
One boss battle I had a personal connection with was the data Riku from Kingdom hearts recoded I swear that boss may have taken me 3 months but it was like I was beating myself up 😭 due to the fact that I see a lot of myself in Riku and he's like a son to and he's like a son to me so that far far as one of the best nights I've had even though it made me want to tear my hair out and I was stuck on it for an entire summer vacation
My favorite boss ever is Final Xemnas in KH2, the multiple phases with some of Yoko Shimomura’s finest work in the background and some of the most badass moments with Reaction Commands ever just make this fight the epitome of EPIC. The only boss fights since to come close were the Eikon / Dominant bosses in Final Fantasy XVI, particularly Hugo Kupka / Titan.
3 is Riku vs Sora in KH1, I love up and personal fights in games and this was one of the best. 2. Is sephiroth vs Sora in kh2, this one kept me on my toes the who match. Everytime I died it felt fair if you mess up with anything sephiroth will kill you when he get the chance. Honorable mention is Sora and Riku vs Xemnas. This fight was very tense and honestly had one of the best moments in gaming history with Sora and Riku deflecting the lasers. 1. For me is Sora vs Roxas in Kh2. This fight bought so much emotion out of me. You can feel the rage of Roxas just by the way he fights and how you have to be on defense most of the fight. This is the fight that shows you Roxas emotion through gameplay. The music the emotion and the battle is the best Kingdom hearts had in a battle and is definitely my favorite.
The first time I played through KH1 I was able to play through the whole game without dying. Until I go to the final boss. Which everyone was confused about.
3 bosses for me, Ansem in Dark Destiny Islands, Roxas in The World That Never Was, and Darkside in various. Ansem in Dark Islands was such a pain for me, for the life of me I would become a human punching bag for the guy as I tried desperately to fight him. Eventually, I just decided to get some help and watch a guide to learn some tricks. I figured out he had a rhythm to his attacks which was the key to beating him, which led to me going back in one last time and beating him with barely a scratch, it felt so liberating to finally beat him. Roxas. . . do I need to explain further? 'Cause I'm gonna. Lots of games have iconic boss fights where the boss is a dark reflection of us, Samus had Dark Samus, Link has Dark Link, and Sora has Roxas. That's what's so cool about these fights, we're fighting another version of ourselves, but Roxas plays it different since most others are bad for the sake of it, Roxas though just wants to know why it has to be that he shouldn't exist but Sora does. That little bit adds that finishing touch of feeling, sadness in that we can't give him the answer he's looking for, and this kind of emotional response is so incredibly rare to come by, that inevitable sadness, which makes Roxas so iconic. Darkside might seem unique since it's almost always relegated to the tutorial boss, it's designed to be a minor inconvenience, even in KH3 they stripped its name away during the tutorial and just called it "Big Heartless", but that doesn't fly with me. I think it might be that I first played KH1 on PS2 without a save card, meaning if the game ever turned off, back to the beginning I go, and Darkside would always be there to greet me. I think somehow through that turn of events, Darkside became my bro, I always found it so creepy yet interesting how Darkside would first appear crawling out of Sora's shadow, since I never got to the Shadow Sora section of Hallow Bastion, I assumed Darkside was the darkness in Sora's heart which scratches that evil you boss I like so much, as said with Roxas. Every time I see this guy, I get a little smile on my face, my friend has come back for another friendly wrestling match, and I aim not to disappoint.
3. Xaldin(KH2) this guy was the cuff on the back of the head I needed to actually start analyzing the movesets of bosses and experimenting with Different tactics instead of just button mashing. Thanks Dilan you helped me to "git gud". 2. AntiAqua(KH3), more symbolic if anything... If Rinzler being a corrupted Tron made you feel hopeless... seeing Aqua say "You're too late" sent me over the edge... I knew KH3 was gonna hit hard with the big feels as Xehanort's plan hit it's peak but that's another thing. If fighting a corrupted party member was horrible try fighting A corrupted main character! Aqua was dealing with some dark feelings throughout BBS and 0.2 but she still felt like the least likely to be corrupted! Damn I love KH3 for the emotional rollercoaster of it's plot! 1. Data Xion(KH3:remind) take the difficulty of Xaldin, the emotional rollercoaster also backing AntiAqua, then multiply both by Zetta. That's Xion in Remind for me... the fight itself tore me asunder if Seeing Xion as a boss in the series didn't cause enough problems. My goodness this boss is Peak KH combat right here and peak emotional storytelling for the series... there's so much more than that but I don't think I can explain enough within the Character limi
Instead of a normal top 5 or whatever, I’ll just list my favorite per game (well… most of them): KH1: Kurt Zisa. The first boss that I simply could not beat as a kid. My favorite Heartless design of all time (biased) and one of the biggest yet most mobile in the entire series. KH2: Lingering Will. Could it really be anything else? One of the best tests of strength I could ask for in a game. Plus it helped me decide who my favorite character is. It really just opened the floodgates for the possibilities of what a Keyblade Wielder could do. BBS: Possessed Terra. (“Terranort” whatever) Technically two different bosses but they’re both so good. It’s always fun when the bosses use moves that you have too, but also the scenes that accompany each fight are so powerful that I’m always hyped for every playthrough. KH0.2: Zodiac Phantom Aqua. This fight scared me bro. This was one of the few fights that you simply could not power through on your own. She was almost as difficult as Lingering Will and it felt so satisfying to learn every attack and opening. KH3: Dark Inferno. I understand that it was a super easy bossfight in the grand scheme of KH3, but while we waited for that DLC it kept me so entertained. Not only does it look like one of my favorite KH1 Heartless, but it moves around so fast and it’s attacks are so cool to watch. It’s like if KH2’s Valor Form spent some time training in DBZ. And since it wasn’t super hard to beat, I often used it to practice my Keyblade Transformations since those usually just plow through heartless before they can even blink. Also it might end up being important later in the story after what we heard from Dark Inferno X.
The fight against Ansem Riku on Hollow Bastion is pretty good storywise but is not so difficult as it seems. Accessoires which reduce dark damage are pretty good and reduce his damage output very much. For his desperation move I thought back than on ps2 that is was extremly hard until I got that it can be easily dodged. The battle Arena is nearly a circle. Just on on point it is slightly of, the point in the opposite of the door of darkness. Ansem Riku's first strike of his dm goes always on that point and after that no other of the hits. So just jump over the first strike and wait on the point until his dm is over
Great Top!! So many good memories, including the one about the ps2 KH2 Final Mix; I remember watching with my friends videos of people fighting the other organization XIII members and we were wondering how they unlocked them 😂
I have no idea how SW stumbled upon sephiroth as a kid. I was like 15, knew exactly that sephiroth is one of secret bosses and couldn't find him, until seeing solution.
My top 3 show bias towards my 2nd favorite game in the series (try and guess the first) 1st. Data Roxas, Kh2 2nd. Sephiroth, Kh2 3rd. All of Xemnas, KH2
I remember beating Sephiroth in KH2 before I had even managed to do so in KHI... it took me the ultima weapon to achieve that, many elixirs and in the end I defeated him mostly by using reflexga 🤣
1. Yozora kh3 2. Xion data kh3 3. Sephioth kh2 I actually beat xion the first time I fought her, which was on crit and boy there were a few very close calls but she was one of the most fun fights in kh3 If I could pick a 4th it would be the ….. inferno? I forget it’s name but even though it wasn’t particularly difficult I still found it super fun
Before watching, I'm gonna list the first 3 boss fights that came to my head when thinking of great KH bosses: 3: Grim Reaper 2 from KH2 2: Roxas from LH2FM 1: Data Xemnas from KH3
I agree with ansem riku. Like I was stuck on it for so long (Like a year or two) and I beated it when I went to the fight to prove that I can't defeat it to my friend
My top 3 story bosses 1. KH2 - Twilight Thorn A fantastic introductionary boss. Mirrorring the Darkside fight from KH1 with it's own spin, it's kind of too bad we haven't seen one outside of Roxas dream. It's really cinematic and really introduces the new faster-paced high-powered action feel of the series going forward in a way it communicates really well. 2. KH2 - Xemnas' Final phase- This fight is a great way to cap off the game's final boss sequence. Managing to strike a very great balance between flash and substance with attacks like the laser dome which is just eye candy but plenty of real fight to be had. The flourishes like playable Riku and the semi-scripted end to the fight really makes the fight stand out. 3. BBS - Aqua - Dragon Maleficent. I have a real soft spot for this fight, the atmosphere is great fighting Maleficent before she started roaming worlds is super cool and the shield jump combo with the NPC Prince is the kind of stuff I love the most about this series. Seperate from the story bosses my favourite secret/super/data boss of the series is Data Xion from Re:Mind. The fight just clicked with me in a way no other fight did and got me in a flow where I really just wanted the fight and my mastery over it to go on for literally all eternity.
Top 3: #3: Aqua vs Terranort (BBS) #2. Sora and Kairi vs Master Xehanort (KH3) #1. Sora and Riku vs Mansex (KH2) I went with one per game to be more fair. Honorable mentions go to Davy Jones, Groundshaker, Lingering Will, and all data battles from 3 (including Yozora)
For me #1 is Lingering Will, nothing was more satisfying than beating him on critical mode, it took me like 3 days to fully understand his moveset and beat him. The only downside is that you get his Keyblade as a reward.
"Kairi's inside me?"
"Kairi's inside me?"
"Kairi's inside me?"
"Kairi's inside-" *BROKEN TV NOISES*
Watching my friend who goes hardcore into souls games take 3 months to beat Yozora was genuinely hilarious after listening to him call KH a kids game
hi Adam
That's what happened to my aunt who bought KH1 for my cousin and I when we were really young, they thought "oh Disney! This is a kids game.". And not even the adults could beat the game
Well he wasn't totally wrong. KH is directed towards a younger audience, but they know there's a more hardcore fanbase that loves Critical mode & Data bosses.
LMAO
I hve a friend that’s super into Dark Souls and taken jives at the KH series. He couldn’t beat Ansem in KH1
Top 5 gameplay wise:
1. Yozora (KH3)
2. Data Xemnas (KH3)
3. Data Marluxia (KH3)
4. Sephiroth (KH2)
5. Data Xion (KH3)
Top 5 in story context:
1. Roxas (KH2)
2. Guardians vs Vessels (KH3)
3. Xion (Days) (pls remake this game Square)
4. Xemnas (KH2)
5. Riku-Ansem (KH1)

Datafights are dogshit
pls give us a days remake without this annoying tetris item and spells system and this weird cure spells@@enlightenedblade171
1. Yozora
2. Lingering will
3. Final boss Xemnas
Calling sitting up a stat boost is so wholesome, we've all got that feeling
The moment you said the ranking being meaningful or memorable to you I basically yelled "DERS NO WAY UR TAKIN KAIRIS HART"
"There's no way you're taking Kairi's heart!" is THE Kingdom Hearts line to me... purely because of how many times I lost in that damn battle.
"There's no way you're taking Kairi's HeArT" still haunts me to this day
1: Final Xemnas, the entire atmosphere of that against a being for all intents and purposes is empty on the inside malice in his voice as he give you the final speech before the fight begins, and the final sequence is oh so beautiful, 2: KH 3: ReMind Xehanort, While yes the base game Xehanort fight fell a little flat comparing it to other final bosses, in Re-Mind they actually fixed his fight and I very much prefer it to his original an entire new move set to learn, using 13 No-Name Keyblades behind him, and in his armor I really wish this was the Xehanort Fight we got in base KH 3, 3: KH 3 Saix, Saix has always been one of my favorite Organization 13 Members cause of his Berserk gimmick which really makes you think and time your attack and tests your patience for his gauge to run out and onslaught him with attacks + with the added Addition of Roxas and Xion on your side for this battle, really makes any 358/2 Day's fans really happy
14:50 those words are etched into my memory. This was the fight that walled me the first time I played KH1
The Xion boss fight and cutscene in 358/2 days will always stick with me. I don’t normally get super emotionally invested in a story but watching her fall apart in Roxas’s hands made me cry.
Proud owner of the Platinum trophies for KH1&2. The torture. The pain. THE HOURS!
Top 5 fights in the whole Series (for me)
1: Roxas/Data Roxas (Ngl I almost cried when bro died)
2: Final Xemnas/Normal Xemnas (KH2FM)
3: Sethiroth (KH2FM)
4: Lingering Will
5: Terra-Nort (BBSFM)
My favorite of all time is Roxas, Xion, Axel vs Saix and Xemnas.
The connection I have with Kingdom Hearts started with Roxas. So having that fight be so emotional is what makes it top tier
Oh my god the amount of times I have heard: “It is I, ansem, the seeker of darkness.” Riku beat me to the ground as a kid
Wooo! Love your KH content! Currently replaying the series again😂
PS5?
I'm with you in loving Limit Cut Xemnas. Not only difficult, but such a fun boss fight with the little mixups.
IM SO GLAD YOU MENTIONED THE XION FINAL BOSS FIGHT FOR 359/2 DAYS. That boss fight had me crying when I finally beat it, I was so sad to watch Xion go
Alright, ill give my own top 3 in the entire series and why.
1. Julius: Although being a secret boss post-game for Triple D, he's the player's ultimate test in both patience and how well you've mastered Sora's and Riku's abilities. 3. Final Mans-err I mean Xemnas- The most satisfying fight in KH2. Fitting that its the finale of the game. Need I say more?
Honorable mention: Hydra - GET UP ON THE HYDRA'S BACK
Greatest boss battles in gaming. (In my opinion.)
Sephiroth was the ultimate challenge for me when i first played KH2. I played the original PS2 release, and i had even went getting my hands on Ultima Weapon, intending on beating him with it, only to forget to switch to the thing and best him with the Kingdom Key
Maybe its not a boss battle but my favorite is at the end of 3 when you get to use all the players keyblades against the darkness
Just pure joy culminating from a long time worth of love for the series and waiting forever so when i saw all those keyblades it was a joy I cant describe
Top 5:
1. Master Xehanort (KH3)
2. Xemnas (KH3)
3. Lingering Will (KH2)
4. Sephiroth (KH2)
5. Dark Inferno (KH3)
Honorable Mentions:
Ansem, Seeker of Darkness (KH3)
Sephiroth (KH1)
Saix (KH3)
“It is I Ansem the seeker of darkness” is a quote that has haunted my dreams my entire life
Amazing work man, your content is amazing, keep it up. In terms of best boss fights for me, it would have to be
1. Roxas (KH2)
2. Xemnas (KH2)
3. Data Xion (KH3)
4. Yozora (KH3)
5. Final Ansem (KH1)
Honourable mentions:
The 3 elemental titans from olympus (KH3)
The final wolf boss in frozen (KH3) You fight a massive wolf, how can that not be cool.
As someone who has started a Kingdom Hearts marathon tonight, this will help me look forward to some of the best bosses in the series.
I loved the Boss fight against Xion. The theam was sooo good and the end of the fight was so f*cking sad
The music when you fought Rinzler is very heartbreaking.
Best 3 boss fights in my opinion…
1. Roxas from KH2
2. Terra-Xehanort from Terra’s Story in Birth By Sleep
3. Young Xehanort from Dream Drop Distance
Keep in mind these have nothing to do with difficulty or skill level but
Moreso with environmental design and how much fun these boss battles were for me…
I love those 3 boss fights to the core…
The scene from kh 1 that I still got stuck in my head to this day is the chameleon boss from Tarzan
And “YOURENOTTAKINGKAIRISHEART” 😂😂
My top 3 favorites,
Keeping it simple and clean I see what you did there
I love the Luxord boss fights, it makes you stop and learn his games which I always enjoyed😁
Xion's fight is CRAZY the amount of times I just stood there mashing the block button is insane 💀
The entire xemnas boss fight will always be my favorite of all time in video games. The emotion, the combat, the style all perfect execution.
The 2nd with riku fight lol "kiaris heart!" Is burned into my mind from Ps2 days
If I have to rank the bosses I would say
1. Final Xemnas
2. Remind Data Xemnas
3. Remind Data Xigbar (because my favorite Organization member)
4. Roxas
5. Data Xion
6. KH2 Data Luxord
7. Lingering Will
8. Terranort with Aqua at the final episode.
9. Sephiroth both 1 and 2
10. Riku ansem. He is my favorite Boss if KH1 but I just cherish everyone above him so much more because I have much more memories of them.
1:19 You referenced my favourite Kingdom Hearts song and l thank you for that
I would have to say my top 5 boss battles would be
1. Lingering Will
2. Final Xemnas
3. Xehanort (kh3)
4. Roxas (kh2)
5. Marluxia (kh2)
I enjoy these battles because of the feel of these battles and I love the satisfaction that I received from finally beating these battles. Especially the lingering will because it took me 3 days to beat him lol
My top 3 boss battles:
1: Xemnas "Leaving?"
2: Yozora "I will save you!"
3: Marluxia "The end is nigh!"
“What is cloud doing” heard that soooo many times fighting seph lol made me have to max out drives for the abilities you get 😂
3 Roxas so emotional so great
2 ansem xamnas and young xeohneart riku sora and mickey fighting together was everything
1 xemnas dream drop distance I just fought that guy for more than 4 months
so the finally boss in KH3 , in the first part when he is normal it took me 1 try and the armored version took 2 tries which suprised me
As a teenager I modded my ps2 to play KH2 Final Mix (and also bought the Game from japan, so yeah I was Happy to see every FM Cutscene in KH2.5)
Possessed Riku is also my favorite Boss and the Boss i had the most Problems with on my lvl1 Run.
In Sephiroth fights. for me KH1 Sephiroth was harder
Days is the first game anyone should consider for a remake, even with it's limitations it's my favorite in the series
My top 3 Kingdom hearts boss battles 1, Yazora 2, Lingering Will 3, Sephoroth.
1. Experiment (kh2)
2. 2nd Axel fight (re:com)
3. Sephoroth (kh1)
I've always been partial to the Groundshaker fight. I LOVE it. The huge arena and the fact that the boss itself is pretty much part of the stage is crazy fun.
Wish you could go back and replay the normal bosses like with the data org.
My personal faves, #3 - Roxas KH2 story fight, #2 - Lingering Will (still feel like it's the best fight in the series, period) #1 - Data Xion KH3
5- Sora vs Riku KH1
4- Terra vs Eraqus BBS
3- Kairi vs Xehanort KH3 Remind
2- Sora vs Xigbar KH2
1- Ventus vs Vanitus BBS
Ok, Duel from Brave Exvius is SUCH a good track
my top 3 bosses:
1. Sora, Roxas, and Xion Vs. Saix (KHIII)
2. Roxas (KHIIFM)
3. Lingering Will (KHIIFM)
Xaldin has always been my favourite. It was always nice to stick it to him lol
LOVE how the intro has the brave exvius enemy battle theme
I swear to god 12 year old me doing proud mode riku, I was able to quote that entire cutscene by heart by the time I was done doing the original game and to this day it haunts my dreams.
My top 3 boss battles would be:
3.) Xion (358). Credit where it's due, this fight i felt was a major build up to what would give us insight to Roxas pre-kh2. And it didnt disappoint (though most of the game still did)
2.) Cerberus (KH2). Im just a sucker for Auron, and getting to team up with him just made me giddy 😄.
1.) Sai'x (KH3: Re:Mind). Getting to play as Roxas and team up with Axel and Xion, seeing their big Limit attack, all the background behind it, just culminating into this fight where the 3 get to reunite AND fight for and with each other was just all around fantastic for me
Top 5 gameplay wise:
1) Data Xemnas (KH3)
2) Data Xigbar (KH3)
3) Data Xion
4) Sephiroth (KH2)
5) Yozora
Top 5 storywise:
1) Roxas (KH2)
2) Vanitas (Second Phase from BBS)
3) Chernabog
4) Guardians vs Vessels
5) Xemnas (all phases from KH2)
One boss battle I had a personal connection with was the data Riku from Kingdom hearts recoded I swear that boss may have taken me 3 months but it was like I was beating myself up 😭 due to the fact that I see a lot of myself in Riku and he's like a son to and he's like a son to me so that far far as one of the best nights I've had even though it made me want to tear my hair out and I was stuck on it for an entire summer vacation
because of how they made xions fight, it always feels like a walts of a fight dealing with her mechanics.
Omg I love the butter buns reference thank you!!!!!
1. Lingering Will
2. Sephiroth (even though his attacks are confusing)
3. Xenmas
4. Zexion
5. Vanitas
Xaldin is the only death well saved by mickey i ever had in kh 2.. such respect
14:58 “Lead me into everlasting slippers!”
Instead of a normal top 5 or whatever, I’ll just list my favorite per game (well… most of them):
KH1: Kurt Zisa.
My top 3: #1 Roxas (Re:Coded)
#2 X-Blade Xehanort (KH3)
#3 Sköll (KH3)
The fight against Ansem Riku on Hollow Bastion is pretty good storywise but is not so difficult as it seems. Accessoires which reduce dark damage are pretty good and reduce his damage output very much. For his desperation move I thought back than on ps2 that is was extremly hard until I got that it can be easily dodged. The battle Arena is nearly a circle. Just on on point it is slightly of, the point in the opposite of the door of darkness. Ansem Riku's first strike of his dm goes always on that point and after that no other of the hits. So just jump over the first strike and wait on the point until his dm is over
I feel the PTSD hitting my back whenever I hear "Show me your strength"
14:51 I can't watch this scene without changing his voice for a text-to-speech voice while zooming in to his face...
Blame pancakes for that
My top 3 show bias towards my 2nd favorite game in the series (try and guess the first)
1st. Data Roxas, Kh2
2nd. Sephiroth, Kh2
3rd. All of Xemnas, KH2
I remember beating Sephiroth in KH2 before I had even managed to do so in KHI... it took me the ultima weapon to achieve that, many elixirs and in the end I defeated him mostly by using reflexga 🤣
1. Yozora: Kingdom Hearts 3 Secret Episode
2. Lingering Will: Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
3. Terranort: Birth by Sleep Final Episode
4. Terranort: Birth by Sleep, Terra’s Story
5. Ansem, Xemnas, and Young Xehanort: Kingdom Hearts 3
6. Final Xemnas: Kingdom Hearts 2
7. Roxas: Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
8: Data Xemnas: Kingdom Hearts 3 Limit Cut Episode
9: Sephiroth: Kingdom Hearts 2
10: Sephiroth: Kingdom Hearts 1
1. Yozora kh3
2. Xion data kh3
3. Sephioth kh2
I actually beat xion the first time I fought her, which was on crit and boy there were a few very close calls but she was one of the most fun fights in kh3
If I could pick a 4th it would be the ….. inferno? I forget it’s name but even though it wasn’t particularly difficult I still found it super fun
Before watching, I'm gonna list the first 3 boss fights that came to my head when thinking of great KH bosses:
3: Grim Reaper 2 from KH2
2: Roxas from LH2FM
1: Data Xemnas from KH3
I agree with ansem riku. Like I was stuck on it for so long (Like a year or two) and I beated it when I went to the fight to prove that I can't defeat it to my friend
My top 3 story bosses
1. KH2 - Twilight Thorn
A fantastic introductionary boss. Mirrorring the Darkside fight from KH1 with it's own spin, it's kind of too bad we haven't seen one outside of Roxas dream. It's really cinematic and really introduces the new faster-paced high-powered action feel of the series going forward in a way it communicates really well.
2. KH2 - Xemnas' Final phase-
This fight is a great way to cap off the game's final boss sequence.
I really wish they kept the series on the PlayStation 2 there’s SO MUCH stuff I don’t know about, so many characters and villains and key blades and……
Top 3:
#3: Aqua vs Terranort (BBS)
#2. Sora and Kairi vs Master Xehanort (KH3)
#1. Sora and Riku vs Mansex (KH2)
I went with one per game to be more fair. Honorable mentions go to Davy Jones, Groundshaker, Lingering Will, and all data battles from 3 (including Yozora)
Legit took me a whole year to beat riku at hollow bastion when I was a kid
1.roxas
2.xemnas, ansam, young xenonort (kh3)
My Top 3:
1. Xemnas (KH2)
2. Roxas (KH2)
3. Sephiroth (KH2)
From my list, you can see that I am a fellow KH2 fanboy too haha.
For me #1 is Lingering Will, nothing was more satisfying than beating him on critical mode, it took me like 3 days to fully understand his moveset and beat him. The only downside is that you get his Keyblade as a reward.
Yes I do remember the anthem fight that was tough
I absolutely agree with sephiroth, only I say kh1, and that's because that invisible health bar scared the life out of all of us 😂
Top 5 story context:
1.Roxas(KH2)
2.Final Xemnas(KH2)
3.Riku-Ansem (KH1)
4 Ansem (KH1)
5.Young Xehanort(KH DDD)
I really appreciate seeing super extra butter buns
