There's nobody like him and I'm just so very happy I was here for this, in this time..and I don't know if there'll ever be anyone like this again!❤❤❤ I actually was going to hitchhike from New Mexico to New York to get to see his first concert here in the USA in late 2019! Sadly I was not able to go. But I will one day!! Yes, and then when they hear him they want to tell us what we have to do to sound like Dimash. That's hilarious. They never start by saying "Choose your parents wisely." And then, "Before you are 5 years old you have to commit all of your time to training and practice for the next 18 years." Ending with the final truth, "If you are not born with certain physical gifts, nothing else will matter."

Some informatios about Dimash. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, he is 26 now, 6,3" . His vocal range extends from the lower notes of the baritone register to the highest notes of the soprano! It also reaches the whistle register, the highest note is D8. This is the "I am Singer" contest in China, but not like Voice etc. Only famous, established singers are allowed to participate by invitation. It stands at a high artistic and musical level and lasts 4 months. Dimash was invited as a wild card, the only foreigner, the youngest in the history of the competition. He opened the whole set because he was unknown, other competitors heard him for the first time (you saw their reactions, they were shocked). After this performance, it became a nighttime sensation in China, in one day the song had 600 million views. He was no longer allowed to move without protection. It was in 2017. Now Dimash is huge in China, loved and respected. Also in Russia, The world got to know him through this competition. He was recognized by specialists around the world as the best singer on the world. He sings in 12 languages and plays many instruments. He sings all genres of music , he mixes them up and experiments with his voice, which has the ability to do anything.

He has been very busy since then. His first album, ID went platinum in 37 seconds, triple platinum in an hour, and five times platinum in day one. A few days ago Dimash released the song "Golden" on all music platforms (rock vibe).

👉 This is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears. This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight.
In 2017 Dimash received a wild-card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant of all time (22 years) and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part. Nobody knew or hear Dimash before and he also had to start first... and after this song Dimash captured the hearts of millions of viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood at his door.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds, over 4 months. The jury consists of 500 spectators. With up to 1 billion people see this tv-program, that's generated international interest. The performances were uploaded to UA-cam... and so, we became Dimash’s Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned that Dimash would survive two episodes of the competition and go home again. They didn't really believe in him. But Dimash came, sang and stayed... for the next 3 years in China... but he only finished second in the competition because he's not Chinese (conditions have changed: The following year, Jessie J. won).

It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him.
Some info about Dimash. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 6-7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe! He also sings in about 12 languages and speaks 3 so far. He is born in 1994.
Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and approved to start his PhD.
He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (also called " I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other by invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500.
Dimash Kudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside).
They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night.
Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to.

The best moment in this show was just after Dimash started thanking everyone and saw his father there. He didn’t know he was there. Just after they got out of that room Dimash turns to his father and asks if he did good! When Dimash was gonna go in to the other contestants he again turned to his father and asked him if he done good! That’s the kind of man he is humble, loving and respectful.

Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. Looking close at the other contestants they where so worried about him. He lost his voice again after. Li Jian another contestant bought him a very very expensive Chinese medication for him so he could get better soon!

Episode 10 : 'Unforgettable Day' In Kazakh and I think some translation in Chinese to. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 17 or 19 years old and lyrics by Oral Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar looks and vocals to. Dimash was compered with him from the first time he stood at the stage the first time just by looks at first.

He didn’t win the completion they say its because he wasn’t Chinese. But I don’t know if that’s right or not! They change the rules next year. But he got the most out of it and was most known after this. Got lots of awards and other things to. So he won the audience and the Chinese people.

Yay! A 1st timer!!! Dimash is the best singer on the planet! 12 languages, many genres, 6+ octaves, trained and performed his whole life - since 3yrs old. Classically trained. He has music videos, movie theme songs, theme songs for games, individual performances with famous Russian composer, Igor Krutoy, who came out of retirement to work with him. He has had fantastic concerts and will have an online concert Jan. 16th! This is from 2017 'The Singer' in China. He is 26 now. He is 6'3", humble, kind, giving, loves family and country (Kazakhstan) and more. This is just the tip of the iceberg. You must do more Dimash! If I tell him that he is the best singer in history, for sure, he would already do it, I would doubt it, but as he delves into his performances you will see that he will share my opinion. You will discover a singer with perfect technique and the widest effective range with 7 octaves and a semitone; able to sing 'Diva Dance' (except for 1 note), to sing pop, rock, opera, etc. As an opera singer, he is the current winner of the 'Victoria' Prize of the Russian Federation in 2019, ousted by none other than the diva Anna Natrebko. His alliance with 'Igor Krutoy' has led to a great work: Ogni Pietra in which he unfolds into Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo and Montserrat Caballé, making the seemingly impossible come true. To add to your appreciation - he was a 22 year relative unknown from Kazakhstan, performing a song in French for a Chinese audience. In a competition (as the wild card) with already well known respected Chinese singers. Can't imagine the nerves that had to be there. He sings in over a dozen languages, but at the time only spoke Kazahk and Russian. This was his first performance - and that is what he created.
Dimash IS music. Every fiber of his being.
During his time at The Singer he wanted to thank his Chinese audience, so he learned a song in Mandarin in one week - the gorgeous "Autumn Strong".
He came back to The Singer one year later as a guest (not competitor) and sang a cover of Lionel Ritchie's "Hello". It's amazing.
