The Singer can't be compared to other singing shows - it's for famous professional singers and it's considered an honor to be invited. Dimash was at 22 the youngest ever and completely unknown to the Chinese audience. Already this first performance made him an superstar in China overnight. He said in an interview he couldn't understand why the channel send him bodyguards after the airing until he wanted to leave the building and saw the crowd waiting for him.
There are not enough words to describe the beauty of Dimash, he is in his own league. Thank you.

I love many artists such as Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Sohyang, Floor Jansen, Adam Lambert, Brendon Urie, and some high tenor voice artists. But when I hear Dimash, his voice and his presence are too strong. The artistry of his song, lyrics, class, power , versatility, skills are combined in one person.
He is still young, 26 years old, and he is NOT at his peak yet! he is still developing, which is awesome. He maybe the ultimate vocalist when the times come in the future, even though he is way too beyond now. I am excited to keep up and watch him growing.

You said he is a gift from god, thats exactly what his surname Kudaibergen means. Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan, he started singing lessons and 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university educated with degrees in classical opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has just (18th June 2020) completed his Masters specialising in Composition, and receiving his Masters degree with Honours, having achieved the maximum score of 100% and has just started his PhD. His range is over 6 octaves (7 now) but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it.
In this performance he was 22 and in a competition for famous professional singers in China he was invited as a wildcard and after this one song was catapulted to stardom and is now a pop superstar in China. He is now also famous in Russia mainly for his neo classical work with Igor Krutoy and many of those works are very operatic. His vocals range from a rich bass baritone through to an extremely high soprano and his whistle register has hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. He is on a solo world tour tight now and in his concerts he sings for around 3 hours with an eclectic mix of styles. He is from a very musical family both parents and his sister sing, mother is a soprano. Dimash was offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far, but I suspect world domination will soon come his way. He is a multi instrumentalist too and is very competent with 8 instruments but can play just about anything. He is 26 now, and is mostly known as a live performer, he has released a triple platinum album ( platinum in 37 seconds, triple platinum in under an hour).
It has been recognised that his high notes are not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does its spectacular like everything else about him. He has billions of fans worldwide and I am definitely one of them, and he calls us his Dears, as we are all as dear to him as his family, and he means it, he knows who helped to make him famous. He is a softly spoken, polite, elegant and very humble respectful young man. He deserves every bit of the success he is having, he has worked very hard for the past 20 plus years and now his dreams as a young 5 year old are coming true. There is an interview he did for BBC World Service in 2018 where the interviewer showed a drawing he did when he was 5 of him singing on a big stage with microphones, speakers and his beloved music cassettes showing his desire to be where he is now. His recent sellout world tour has been postponed due to the covid-19 epidemic but will restart when its safe to do so. He has concerts lined up in Dusseldorf, Prague and Minsk there will be others. You have just witnessed the best technically trained singer in the world today. Dimash is incredible. He has trained his entire life to become the best singer in the world. He is reinventing the music world. His songs are arranged in such a manner you will hear everything from opera, classical, pop, and he has even thrown in rap. Then I called my sister and just screamed over the phone that I had just heard the PERFECT singer!!! Then I stayed up all night sweeping the internet for anything and everything I could find about Dimash Kudaibergen. I am still obsessed nearly three years later.

Dimash has resurrected my 78 year old musical Spirit. I spent nearly 60 years as a musical artist, vocal coach, and performer. Dimash and a few other international artists have me inspired. He was a child prodigy who had perfect pitch at age 2, began piano and vocal training at 5, and performing at 6. He has a B.A. in Classical Voice & an M.A. in Contemporary Voice. He blends classical & pop techniques within one song. This has been called "Popera." He has a 6 octave range and over 20 years of intense training. It is a bit shocking at first to wrap your mind around it. He is a truly unique musical phenomenon. I'm glad you also have discovered this great artist.
Dimash has a Masters in Music composition, and is enrolled and started his Doctorate program in Musicology this Fall!

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to write the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add to the universal declaration of human rights another article (they would become 31) whose wording would be as follows " All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing ". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, whom I could talk to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, 1 year ago, I met this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), last March 7, 2020. Yes, Dimash is known for his range! But to me, his vocal skills set and techniques are insane and way beyond. Listen more to him and you will know about not only his range but vocal skills, tones, textures, genres, seamless transition, phrasing, melisma, fry chest mixed head falsettle whistle, he owns them. hold note with 1 breath, super skillful!

Voice control, breath control, vocal range, dynamics and passion in his voice, artistry and emminent vocal technique - he has it all. Opera, pop, rock, ballads - he can sing it all with class. On top of that he is a wonderful humble human being, a true Angel indeed! Great sound quality, you can clearly see the stage charisma, a great light show. There were around 40,000 spectators at the concert, many thousands of whom drove to Kazahstan from all over the world to see Dimash.

Every time I watch this video of Dimash, I'm really wondering the thoughts of the audience. Think about it, so many famous singers, and the show begins with an unknown artist that happens to be Dimash. If we feel so shocked watching the video, imagine be there.
I read in the comments that you got enough information about his career. I'll tell you the rest now. His fans: He has fan clubs in 164 countries around the world. His fans are called Dears, a name he gave them 4 years ago because it was exactly this performance that made him famous in China.
Dears because they are dear to his heart, like family.
He has a very large, very active, and very noisy following from all over the world. For example, I come from Germany. We eagerly try to make him better known because we think he's the best in the world. SOS. shows only a third of his ability and he has already developed his voice 4 years, today he sounds even better.
"I am singer" is a Chinese show format in which established and successful, famous singers find out who is the best of them. Dimash was invited as a wildcard and wasn't expected to last long.
You will see many more appearances from this show, it lasted 14 weeks, 1 appearance per week.
We Dears love to see reaction videos, especially from people who have a clue like you. You can talk about pitches, register, vocal techniques, breath control ...... letting his heart and soul on stage ...... we love it! Unfortunately, he has not yet made the leap over the big pond, as he sings preferably in Russian and Kazakh (his Kazakh songs are awesome!).
You'll hear a lot of vocal somersaults and tightrope acts, but his real art is not the high and low notes, it's the ones in between. His voice is addictive, highly addictive. You always want more ..... and he likes to give more. This January he is giving an online concert because he had to postpone his world tour due to Corona, his 3rd world tour btw.
It remains to be said that because he was not raised and trained according to western standards, he is one of the most humble, polite, caring,social, good hearted and giving humans I ever had the pleasure to know.

Welcome to the world of Dimash! He comes from a musical family in Kazakhstan and at the age of 5 it was discovered that he has perfect pitch. He cannot remember not wanting to be a singer. He has studied music all his life and has had the best vocal coaches (particularly Marat Aitimov who is a genius and trained Dimash’s mother in operatic singing). Dimash sang soprano in a choir until mid teens as he was better than the girls 🙂. He went to university and everyone expected him to study opera (he was offered a place in the Astana Opera) but instead he chose to study ‘contemporary music’ for his undergraduate degree, he then went onto study for his Masters in ‘composition’ gaining 100% and has now embarked on his doctorate in ‘Musicology’. He is very intelligent, has studied hard and is a musician to his core. Alongside that, he is an incredibly humble, spiritual young man who you will discover sings with his whole body drawing you in to the emotions of a song - they often have moving backstories. And singing is all he really wants to do. Although he also has stage presence that is exquisite. His parents are both in opera,and very popular. To see him sing with them, put "Dimash sings with parents" in UA-cam. We "Dears" (Dimash fans) LOVE it when another person discovers this incredible source of happiness. And he has a personality to match that angelic voice. (To see him turn into an angel right before your eyes, play the video "Love is like a Dream.') It happens about2/3 of the way in. Dimash is sweet-natured, , shy, humble, kind, gracious, intelligent, respectful and adores his fans, as do we adore him.
