Dimash enrolled in music college at 5 yrs old. His vocal cords have received intense training for 20 yrs. He has two master's degrees in different types of music. He is considered to be the best vocalist in the world and a master performer. He sings in many languages and plays many instruments. He is an exceptional singer and excels in martial arts and swimming. His mother is a world-class opera singer, and his father is also a well-known crooner in Asia. He was raised by his grandparents, which is customary in his home country of Kazakhstan. He appears in front of crowds of hundreds of thousands of people and is known to give the proceeds to charity. He is a very humble and shy man. He stands at 6 ft. 3 1/2" tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was 22yrs old at the time of this performance. His first album went platinum in 37 seconds.

I have been a follower of Dimash since 2017, each of his songs is a gem because in addition to his vocal quality that exceeds traditional standards, these songs have lyrics with excellent messages. It also makes us feel emotions and feelings with its interpretation, it is an immersive and addictive experience. @@BangkokVoiceCoach In some interview about his childhood, Dimash once mentioned that he was high soprano in the choir before puberty, but even after voice change he kept developing soprano range as well as others.
Later on, when you will react to his fresh "Ave Maria" vocalise, you will see that his soprano is much better that many female sooranos. He has more colour, weight and charracter to it.

This was a very enjoyable reaction. The song "S.O.S. (d'un Terrien en détresse)" is originally from a French-Canadian musical called 'Starmania' from the 1970s and is considered one of the most difficult French songs to perform. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He appears here in the fifth season of Hunan Television's "I Am A Singer" competition. "I Am A Singer" is an annual Chinese music competition between famous and established professional singers. The audience phones in to determine the winner after each episode. It is the same throughout the entire show; 500 with musical backgrounds judge the show by points each week.
At 22 years old, Dimash was the youngest participant in the show's history and competed against these professional and top-selling Chinese singers as a 'wildcard' competitor. The competition consists of 14 rounds, lasts almost 4 months, and competitors are eliminated throughout the season. Every performance is live, and no lip-syncing or auto-tune is permitted. Pure unadulterated vocal ability only. Dimash's mother later said that he hoped to reach at least the middle stage of the competition.
This was the very first episode of the competition, and Dimash had to go first because he was considered the weakest, given that he was completely unknown to the audience. After this performance, he became a superstar in China overnight. His Chinese competitors called him their "little imported brother." The other already well-known contestants were in absolute awe of him and joked that they might as well go home. Dimash won the first two episodes! He also won the 6th for his rendition of "Adagio," a song made famous by Lara Fabian.
First place overall went to the famous Chinese Sandy. Sandy's first album came out before Dimash was even born. Dimash took second place overall; however, he lost by a very narrow margin. He lost a lot of points for his performance of "Uptown Funk." Although Dimash did not win the show, he immediately became a beloved star in China.
As part of the contest, all contestants/performers are required to perform one original song they have composed. Dimash sang "Unforgettable Day," a song he wrote when he was still in his teens - it's a love song. He sang in both the original Kazakh and in Chinese even though he did not speak Chinese at the time and had to have a translator with him throughout the competition.
Here is the order of Dimash's performances for The Singer 2017. The contest lasts 14 weeks, but Dimash has only 13 performances because he had already made it into the semi-finals by week 11.

You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of Dimash's talent and ability. He has performed songs in 15 languages; Kazakh, Russian, English, Mandarin Chinese, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Serbian, Turkish, Sicilian, Ukrainian, Kyrgyz, Arabic, and Japanese. Besides his native Kazakh tongue, he speaks fluent Russian, which is still an official language in most former Soviet Republics. Dimash is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin, which he says is a challenging language to learn. Dimash plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. He usually performs for more than two hours during live concerts and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles.
A good professional vocalist has a range of about 3 octaves. According to some analysts, Diamsh's range is over 7 octaves (A1-D8), spanning across all four registers. He has continued to hone his skills and to fine-tune and perfect his already unbelievable abilities even more. There does not seem to be a limit to what he can achieve vocally. I am excited to follow his journey. Dimash may go down in history as the most extraordinary vocal talent known to man. I cannot think of anyone, past or present, capable of doing what Dimash is capable of. I am still waiting on someone to name a single individual even remotely close to Dimash's mastery.

Dimash also recently released "Ikanaide,'' performed during the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival live stream, which is absolutely incredible. He sings in nearly flawless Japanese.
Avoid any performance from "The World's Best." The show in L.A. was utterly disgraceful. The production team edited and cut all of Dimash's performances down to 2 minutes and cut out his Kazakh song for no reason.

He have to know The song, sang it many many Times, process it internally and when he felt he and song are One, he feel that it is time . The result was that Sochi version. Actually, it's 7+ octave range. This is from 2017 and this is the performance that made him famous. He has performed SOS many times and each time he improves! Dimash sings in 14 languages and multiple genres. He has many high quality music videos, fantastic concerts (next is in Kazakhstan, his homeland, on Sept. 23rd). Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages(PHONETICALLY) but (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology. He was 2 in this performance and is 28 now (only gotten better). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018 and then "Stranger" 2021, "Ikanaide" 2021, and "Ave Maria" 2021. Dimash Kudaibergen is tall, at 6' 3". He is from Kazakhstan, and is fluent in Kazak and Russian. He can speak some English and Mandarin.
He was 22 in this video and is now 28. He began his classical vocal and instrumental training at age 5 and continued training for 20 years. He still visits his vocal coach as needed or when he happens to be home.
He is spectacular not only in his vocal abilities, but in his acting and pure entertainment abilities.
I do hope this is not your last reaction to him.
Oh, and he is completing his Doctoral Thesis, highly well read and overall brilliant.

I have been a Dimash Dear for about 2 years and my admiration for Dimash grows daily. I have listened to his songs multiple times- each time I hear ‘more’ , at a deeper level. I usually cry, except for fun songs like Be With Me or Fly Away.
I liked and subscribed because you had a positive reaction to Dimash;). However, I have a suggestion to make. Dears can get a bit upset when reactors ‘talk over’ Dimash. We don’t mind you pausing the video to speak, we do want to hear your thoughts, but ‘talking over’ does tend to ruin the song.
Dears are from countries all around the world and would like subtitles available so they can understand you. Dimash sings in a dozen languages so subtitles are good for all! The lyrics are as important as the music.
Each song Dimash performs has a backstory which enriches the experience.
I find the more personal energy I put into Dimash, the better experience I have.

You are correct from the door... this IS a talent show; however, it is a talent show like none you've ever seen, or heard of, before. The judges are the audience. The contestants are accomplished, professional singers, with fan bases, etc. across the length and breadth of China/Hong Kong. More intriguing still, they've risked their egos by competing and being voted off on a weekly basis! The singer you're listening to here is a very young professional from out of Kazakhstan. He came in as a surprise contestant and complete unknown. The early cheering you hear is not for him so much as for the audience anticipation of this season's first episode. And what an episode Dimash made it...!

This was almost 6 years ago, Dimash was 22. During the intervening years , Dimash has continued to Train and Develop his musical skills far beyond this performance...He only had 6 octaves then, now it is over 7. I do not understand why this is the video most recommend, when there are several newer performances. So if you were amazed by this, You have a Golden ticket ride waiting for you. You might want to invest in a seatbelt.......

There are many reasons why this particular performance is so heavily recommended. One is that this performance is spectacular on its own and was very significant to Dimash's career. He spent the bulk of the next 2 yrs in China. Many of his fan base discovered Dimash thru this very performance. It became his signature song and is a very useable foot stone to gauge his continued progression of vocal advancement. Also, the performances from the Chinese show during the taping weeks of I Am Singer are some of the most emotionally connected reactions ever caught on film by any artist. Most people both enjoy and appreciate that. Its simply wonderful to watch. The very circumstances of Dimash being the youngest competitor, first ever non-chinese invitee, didnt speak Mandarin, performing a French song to a Chinese audience...all of this. The pressure for this performance on Dimash is incomprehensible to most. Get it? It is a performance that is super important and one that remains special in my heart and to most of Dimash's dears. Regardless of his later performances, this beautiful performance is perfection in and of itself. Mark
Yes there are newer ones, but it is still one of the most spectacular performances of SOS, at least for many other Dears. I still can feel the magic of the first time that I have watched this and found him! And it's obvious he gives everything to the audience, his last smile after the run, while being straight up reliefed... I'd did it or yeah.. I did all what you just heard.. or both, is magic. And William can do another reaction to one of the recent SOS versions to compare those. I'm greatful he chose the singer and not slavic bazaar, which is great but only the studio track and I for me love all the changes he does on SOS often!

An Irishman in Bangkok reacting to a Kazakh singing a French song in China being watched by me in New Zealand. You have to recognise the impact the net has made on the world. The performance itself is 5 years old and he has recorded more recent performances of the song which show his growth over that period. This however is my favourite, not so polished, not so smooth, not as professional but for a lot of people myself included this was the first time watching him and being totally blown by his otherworldly talent, skill and stage presence.

I suggest that you try his 2017 Adagio and The show must go on. his new songs like Olympico and stranger are also much loved. Heck all of his music is great. He also sings in over 12 languages and plays 6 or more instruments.
