I really don't want the vr30 motor in the Z. I want it to have that 5.6 liter v8 in the Q70 that's tuned specifically for the Z car. 6 speed manual standard and 9 speed automatic from the new titan optional. I don't want the Z to be released as a daily driver car. It should be a no compromise, hardcore sports car that's meant to be driven hard period. It should have the new Sentra SR interior, I think that looks good. Safety tech, BSW and Rear View Camera. Regular model, touring model and Nismo model. That's my thoughts.
@@wesoakes #employee.....GRMN Supra is rumored 400hp with auto only....gonna need a couple of things to blow it out of the water in my opinion: Upgraded turbos, an LSD, a faster auto trans and manual option, which the Supra doesn't have currently, a Nismo edition at 500hp, dealer installed nismo upgrades available via financing and a 38k to 55k price range.
Welcome back indeed! That render That's in your thumbnail is the best I've seen so far. I'd love it if the car looked like that. If Nissan gives the masses 450 to start, with a manual option and priced at 40k the Supra is done, and that includes the coming GRMN version with only 400HP. Sales are already slow at just about 3k for the year
@@EnthusiastPOV According to reports Nissan has 12 new models coming by the end of 2021. With their recent financial troubles I don't think they can afford a miss. Nissan generally listens to its customers, unlike Toyota. I think they learned from the Supra fiasco. They have all the parts to make this a great car. Upgrade the turbos and drop an LSD and you're good to go. Flex fuel capable would be icing. I look forward to the next step. Base 400hp and the Nismo at 500hp, would be a killa offering.
@@stevornrichards1380 Thanks bro! So I have alot of thoughts on this. With the capabilities of the VR I think it would be better in the Z. I think this could become an iconic engine like the RB. I wish Nissan would give it distinctive sound like the VQ though. As for the V8, I think it could go in next Gen Maxima with RWD or big body Q sedan. Honestly, the Maxima needs to attack this weak segment, because the GS is going away, Acura has nothing, nor Toyota. MB, BMW and Hyundai are the only ones with full sized V8 sedans. Hyundai is the only one with a budget friendly offering. I was thinking a V8 in the IDX concept, but I think a new 4cyl turbo inline 4 would be better. Then I thought of that Infinity roadster concept from 2 years ago, which I love. Then I'm like maybe the Leaf's electric power plant would be better suited. There would be nothing like it as a full EV. Like I said, a lot of thoughts....lol
I hope the concept art that you posted is what it will actually look like. I want the old retro look as well. That way i can shoot down the high to the tunes of Wangan Midnight
I totally agree with what you hope for. My hopes were for 2 trims only and possible third. It was to have only the 400 hp variant and a four banger 2.0 variant. The car would (to me) would need to be smaller dimensions and aim for as close to 3000 lbs as possible. As for the third possible trim, it would be like a nismo/gt3 version, how Porsche does it... But make it a 3.9/4.1L NA manual option... Fully streetable and track ready. With it being closer to 3000lbs than the z34, it'd be a force to be reckoned with... All while not making the gtr completely irrelevant until that next gen comes out
I’ve own 3 Nissan GT-R from 3 2015-2018 and I’m over it. They were nice but sheesh mass production vehicles are beating this car stock like hellcat 2019 zl1 camero just to name a few. I had an Infiniti Q60rs & Q50rs. Now I’m debating to just go German. I want to see what the M3 looks like or the new c63 mercedes-amg. I hope Nissan comes out with a good z because I’ve had that car for a year in 2017 nismo version. I loved that car just old... so I’m with you. I hope they come out with a banging car. We shall see. c63 is nice for sure. german is nicer in general but you pay more as well. i rather take the gtr over the others you mentioned. generally more reliable.
I won’t mind the VR30 and even using the same chassis (for suspension parts will be readily available) as the 370 minus just a little more weight. But please Nissan fix the the ice mode issue under braking. I my self didn’t have this issues but a handful of times but I know of others that had it constant. Not good. So ready.
Incorrect sir. , Z's have had rear seats for many models and many yrs. Nissan lost the rear seat Nissan badged cars with the 350Z. The Infiniti G 35 was the Japanese Nissan Z 2+2
Duwan Gamble this guy doesn’t know anything about Z, the Z came in 2+2 before 😂. I stopped listening from there on cuz he’s speculating like the rest of them.
Good vid Enthusiast POV, I am glad you did not lose faith in Nissan since you lost faith in the Q60 and stripped it down. I believe the next Z will have a couple of variants. A 4 cylinder base making 220 hp (mercedes engine). A 330 hp VR33DETT making 330hp. A 450hp VR33DETT making 450hp. Price points will be 30k, 40k, 50k. It will not have all the luxury items that a Q will have as to not compete with luxury and reduce weight. It will have less weight than a Q at around 3,200 lbs so it will be alot faster that a Q or other cars and be able to turn in alot better. The naming convention will be (who gives a crap about the 4cyl). the 330z and the 330zr. Just a prediction or hope.
If Nissan messes this one up then I'll never forgive them😂 just have a very modern, sleek, flashy but not overdone design, price it right, and make it 400hp and 450hp for the nismo and everything will be fine. Quick new auto and a strong 6spd.
I agree I would not daily a gtr unless there are some nice roads same as I wouldn't daily a lambo or Ferrari. That monster was made to destroy track times.
Nahhhh no more retro 240 design. Thats already what the 350 and 370 are based on. It needs to be an evolution of the Z32 body style like it should have been in the 2000s
Hoping for the new 400z to be at least 29-3000lbs because 32-3400 lbs is too heavy. (Like the 370z-350z) Also a manual option, because if they go auto/DCT its going to cut into GTR sales and Nissan definitely wouldn’t want that. Hell, if the rumours are true, this Z will definitely cut into GTR sales.
Hopefully it looks nothing like that 240 on your Instagram. I hope they base the design off of the 300zx personally since it was their last twin turbo v6
Ford developed the 2005 mustang with a huge focus on bringing back nostalgia from the 1960’s and clearly it worked for them. Nissan needs to go back to the Dataun days and take cues from the 1970’s 240z and bring it back. Right now Toyota has lost design cues as the Supra is nothing in terms of design, botch design as many owners are not happy with the aerodynamics of the car. Ford is still leading. Nissan needs to go retro and build a car that will sell itself. Nothing less than 385 HP with heavy emphasis on the torque and possibly even considering not doing a convertible as they do not sell.
I agree on the retro look. The current 370Z is the worst design of the Z. Nissan ruined it. I did like the 280ZX and 300ZX, but a 240Z and 280Z design is the way to go for 2021.
Aye I'm super excited for a new Z and honestly none of your wishes are that unreasonable, the 9-speed from the Titan is compatible with the VR30 as the outgoing 7-speed was actually a Variant of the JATCO 7-speed used in the 370/G37. Nissan also updated the manual transmission in the Z in 2018 to take handle more power as well. So both are pretty safe bets in the redesign the interview Autoblog which is the source of all this news confirmed as much with their source. As for weight and driving dynamics the Z is shorter by nearly a foot, wider by an inch and weighs nearly 400lbs less than the Q60 so I think it's a guarantee she will come in under 3500lbs. If Nissan can give the Z slightly larger turbos/fuel injectors, better cooling in stock form then I think they have a popper little monster on their hands.
