Judgement is actually used somewhat commonly in Balanced Hackmons, where ghost types with the ability Normalize run around entraining it onto everybody
Considering the plates boost Judgement to 120 power (in addition to any moves of their typing) and the memories don’t, I think it’s more than fair. Silvally having the base 90 Multi Attack in Gen 7 rubbed me the wrong way😂
@MattBudYT personally I would rather have Silvally at 100 and Arceus at 120 or something. Thanks to current powercreep the signature moves of previous legendaries and mythicals are becoming less and less relevant. A buff to moves like Spatial Rend, Roar of time, etc... is needed
Seems kind of weird that Silvally's technique is more powerful than Arceus's, but Judgement is already kind of underpowered anyway. Oooh, not like it would impact VGC, but what if Judgement ignored redirection?
Man, if Dancer worked on cartridge, Doubles would just be Oricorio+Dancer leads for both parties that just end when the Oricorios have maxed out the 3 stats then stopped, which is crafty on GameFreak's part.
Battle revolution required multitype to have an appropriate plate. When I’d battle my siblings, I’d always bring Mew and Ditto to steal their Arceus, but they’d be holding different plates and changed type
Saw a fun mechanic on ladder in a streamers chat right before the GC. So if you use focus punch and then after you, it'll focus up first, after you second, then attack third.
Something that I found out when play random Hackmons is that if a Pokémon with dancer switches into a dance move and uses it, any turn 1 moves will fail (fake out, first impression). Normally this wouldn't matter at all, because Oricorio doesn't get any of those. However, if a Pokémon with one of those moves switches in on a move like entrainment, gets the dancer ability, and then another Pokémon on the field uses a dancing move, their first turn moves will fail. (Alternatively you could just skip the setup by just playing in Hackmons but whatever)
I wonder if a Bannet in an inverse battle will be hit super effectively by struggle and confusion self damage since in an inverse battle normal is super effective against ghost
i havent tested it but what would happen if you use brutal swing in a doubles battles if you have guts and hit a static/ flame body pokemon, would the other targets be hit with a guts boosted brutal swing?
I don't think so. I don't have those old gen games to test old mechanics anymore unfortunately :( I also haven't bought an actual game since generation 7 funnily enough so I don't have access to them as of now.
@@oponentgull186others4 salt cure does not have those properties to get super effective hits against certain types. Its effects will do more passive damage against steel and water types regardless though.

I love competitive channels covering things so niche they’re essentially not competitive

Multi-attack having 20 extra base power just rubs me the wrong way. No idea why but that rubs me the wrong way

@@marceloasensiofilho3833 well arceus is amazing and silvally is trash, silvally deserves the buffs

Couldn't have uploaded at a better time! I was about to go Matt my Bud when I got the notification, perfect timing!
What happens if Kecleon uses struggle, does it become type less?
That miss on the magic bounce toxic though 😂

Looking forward to the tournament!
that interaction with Judgement and Multi-Attack is actually used in Pure Hackmons, where Chansey has the Impostor ability instead
Obscure mechanics my beloved ♥️
Rain dance doesn't trigger the dancer ability. It'd obviously do nothing, but I feel like it should be copied still

Switcheroo works on Pokemon with substitutes. I didn't know that till now.
I am sad Instruct does not let Slaking use the same move twice. It would have been a cool strategy to use.
There is no hidden power fairy
I have actually used a yache berry Quagsire in a draft league battle lol
How does dancer interact with torment?
Just the source I was looking for Pokémon showdown the king of all sources

What if you made freeze dry an electric type move
Would you ever test these in the real game?

Also, is there a place to read tournament rules? Just a couple of minor (maybe dumb to some) questions I have about it
@@joeyteter9383 there is a tournament info channel in my discord with the rules!
@ ah, I see that now. Thanks a ton and I can’t wait!

Using any move that have alternate super effective conditions can get super effective with normalize. Another one is salt cure.
