Thanks Tim, Great vid ! Your support is much appreciated. Please note that for the TI comes you can line up the dovetails, outer on top the inner and snap them together, you will still slide them apart.

Great dialed in system! I have one based on a Toaks 550 but like the wider pot you have there. I may look at changing it up.

Good stuff! What's a boil time for alcohol on 2 cups?

That's awesome. What's the total weight of that set up? And, I'd love to hear where you got the grate material (and lift for the grate if its different). I'm impressed.

Thanks for this review! I found it because you reviewed my gear on an upcoming ASA trip :) Do you have a preference between alcohol versus esbit?

Cool! Good to see how the Sidewinder works by someone with plenty of experience. I'm curious, when would you choose the esbit over the alcohol? Just for 3 days or less? And do you find you use the wood option much, give the other two fuel options?

@@timwentzell9223 thanks for your awesome answer, appreciate it. I used to use alcohol but the setup I had was a bit dangerous in windy conditions, it was a featherfire with titanium windshield. The featherfire was good in that you could control the flame and thus simmer, but it's design meant it could really flare up in the wind, and one very windy time we had trouble putting it out. I thought about the sidewinder for a while, looks like a good option for when you want a quick wood fire like you said. Currently I only do a 3 to 5 nights at a time so we've been using gas canisters and a tiny 1ounce BRS chinese stove that is very simple for my wife to use, and we refill the canisters with cheap butane gas. I got a special adapter from Japan that lets you connect those standard tabletop gas stove gas cans to a standard camping stove canister, works great, but you have to be careful not to overfill so takes a while filling, disconnect, weigh, reconnect, etc. If it was just me I'd probably go for the sidewinder, might buy it anyway for fun and see if my wife likes it. Cheers!

@@timwentzell9223 good to know. I was thinking of upgrading the BRS because we recently swapped our aluminum pot for titanium, but the BRS sure dors make a hot spot on the titanium. I'll check out the Snowpeak and Soto, thanks. Decisions decisions.

Great video, thank you. Where do you store your fuel bottle, and do you trust it won’t leak or do you throw it in a ziplock ? Thx again

@@timwentzell9223 Cool, I'll check it out. I jrealized I can fit a 4 oz round bottle inside the cones, all nested in the pot, so that's goodness as well. Thx again
