I've used esbit tabs for years..it amazes me how individuals have such a hard time getting the tabs lit. My tip for easily lite'n esbit tablets; simply take your knife shave off slowly the top of the tablet into the natural channels. Not much just enough to dust the channels. Bic lighter will ignite esbit in 2 seconds. Easy Pesy Lemon squeeze. Good to Go..
