That's a superficial observation. The LF-LC took a good 5 years to even show up and had a higher MSRP to work with. You don't even know if this will be high enough per unit, to design it close to DS specification.

It’s always interesting to see concept vehicles but it’s difficult to become excited when they seem like they’re half a decade away from being a real product. That’s what got my excited about the IS500, it looks ready to go today!

The LC went from concept to production relatively quickly.
The IS500 is not a concept. It's based on the redesigned IS body, which is already on sale.

He was talking about concept and if you noticed, he said the IS500 *looks ready to go.* Looks ready to go means he thinks it's still in the developmental stages when it's actually done. The car that is based on is already on sale and so it's ready to go, not looks ready to go. They already have the engine (V8), brakes, suspension and everything else.
Lexus has earned my loyalty through the years ... this is a truly exciting future! I took delivery of my 4th Lexus (2021 ES 350 Ultra Luxury) in February 🙂👍
I have an LS500, have driven the new ES... great car!! Only way to make it better is massaging seat and PHEV option IMHO.

Beautiful vehicle. Lexus has had my loyalty for 20 years. I got the first generation IS300, moved from that to the GS450 hybrid and now have the RC350. Very few problems and confidence that they will not be mechanically problematic. Looking forward to my retirement Lexus being a SUV similar to the one unveiled.
I drive Lexus GX right now don't forget you got to match that reliability on top of that need to go over 400 miles on one charge

I’m betting those 2 new redesigned vehicles are the NX and RX
NX beyond overdue, I anticipate PHEV option. I have RAV4 Prime now, great overall package.
This LF-Z looks like mixing coupe-sedan & RX or NX, but size-wise, it’s more RX.

Lexus let me tell you something... you are what every car company should consider when crafting a quality vehicle, I love my Lexus SC430 and all the previous Lexus vehicles I had owned, my daughter middle name is Lexus, because she was born in the front seat of comfort, that car had 333,000 miles before I traded, and it was still excellent. Every car you make people don't understand until 10-15 yrs pass then they speak on how the vehicles stand the test of time, just recently all these car enthusiasts started giving Lexus the respect it deserves, I all ways believed in this brand, most just don't understand, but one day they'll catch up ❤🤙😁

Good luck, Lexus. By the time your first EV launches, I honestly hope it will not be years behind the competition/standard (Tesla) because ... I doubt you're launching a 40,000 dollar EV from Lexus initially. However, the brand name will be the saving grace as there are many Lexus fans over the world. Quality finish, comfortable ride, and an upscale interior is what Tesla is lacking and Lexus can most likely deliver. Range, horsepower, charging time, etc. hopefully will be similar to Tesla or any other major competitors (The German EVs are coming).
I hope to see one on the road soon in the future.
I have a feeling that Lexus will partner up with Tesla to build their cars. Toyota and Tesla are meeting soon and the plan is for a car built by Toyota and the software provided by Tesla

I traded my Tesla for a Lexus because quality. I needed a mechanic 5x per year with the Tesla, got sooo tired of it plus the endless promises of "coming soon" that never do.

RX, ES , IS , NX.
doubtful, the new IS literally just came out this year and it had already been revealed, don't think people even got their orders yet. The ES was all new in 2019, it's not like Lexus to give it a facelift in just 2 years. It's more likely to reveal a new GS that they discontinued, but probably not. The RC's due for a new gen. But my bet is on more crossovers.
ES will be refreshed and IS is already heavily refreshed. RX & IS are present. You just seem to comment everything, but maybe read between the lines a bit more?

The concept looks great, some of us hope Lexus will continue to offer petrol engines, and some of us pray for a 6 speed manual transmission in the IS350.
I would love a manual Lexus IS350 or 500
That is not going to happen and laughable wish, even if almost all of my nearly 20 vehicles are manual and many are V8.
Why ask for something that won't be done? It was pulling teeth to approve IS 500, as a worthwhile manual IS has been dead since 2003 when the mediocre IS 250 6MT was only approved and 6MT IS 350 rejected by XE20 development leaders. It died with XE10 IS 300 5SPD in 2005 and never will happen.

It is a request to all car brands, but I want it to be as comfortable as gasoline cars, whether it is an electric car or a driverless car. If you have a battery replacement, a cumbersome process, a long charging process, a single error, a breakdown, or something like that, you'd rather sell a 1950s gasoline car. I love all cars.

I don’t think that’ll come out for a while. They haven’t even released a mid cycle refresh yet since it came out in 2018.
@@stefanb.5154 and that’s the main problem with Lexus and their production they take much to long in bringing a second generation and doing mid cycle refresh. The Germans are constantly refreshing their vehicles and this is why lexus cars get overshadowed because they are not changing in innovating fast enough.
@@Toyota4Life Lexus is actually pretty on par with Germans in refreshing with the exception of a couple vehicles. The worst compared to Germans is the GX simply because it’s 10 years old and needs to be redesigned. The LC is actually still very much competitive and will be so for a long time. A car like the LC however isn’t built to be refreshed every 3 years. It’s meant to stand the test of time with the architecture, technology, and luxury put into it. It’s a flagship, not an economy car, so it doesn’t have to be updated as often.

@@ManchesterUnited1071 the refresh LS did not look good to me but I have grown to like it now and it’s looks more smooth compared to the no refresh LS. But I agree they are going to have a tough time making the LC look better. But there is the upcoming LCF coming also
