I have to agree about the LFA being one of the best sounding road cars ever. That V10 screams like an old F1 car and it is absolutely amazing to hear in person. I got passed by an LFA doing at least 100mph on the freeway and it was amazing.
Fun fact: Lexus had no choice but to go with a digital tachometer. When the car upshifts, it does so so quickly that a physical tachometer needle (which was still pretty common in exotic cars back in 2011) can't move fast enough to remain in sync with the engine speed during shifts. It's an amazing engine.
it isn't about the upshifts, in fact the gearbox of lfa is just a single clutch and the shifts are quite slow compared to dual clutch gearboxes. the reason for digital tachometer is that lfa engine can gain and lose revs real fast. it's apparent when you watch another supercar's tachometer and lfa's side by side. lfa's tachometer needle is almost jittery, while others are quite stable. the engine is just too sensitive to throttle input that physical tachometers cannot display it

@Michael Pullins When the LFA was designed, F1 WAS using V10s and Toyota (Lexus' parent company) was in F1, using a V10. The LFA engine uses F1 tech in it, so your "V6 comment" is wrong.
Packaging should definitely be a priority when designing sports cars. Proportions and weight distribution matter, and V6 engines can put out quite a bit of power relative to their size (especially with forced induction). As for balance issues, those are corrected with shafts. The people behind formula 1 aren't idiots. They know how to design a performance car.
The LFA prices are rising extremely fast! 3 years ago $400,000, now they are $700.000 Won't be long before this is a million dollar car. But with that noise, I can understand why :D
I will say, this car really aged well. Back in 2011 I remember thinking “why would anyone pay that price point for a Lexus” - But as the years have passed I tend to regret that thinking. This car is one of the most unique cars ever made in so many different ways. The sound of the V10 is truly second to none. And ya know what? It’s a pretty damn cool Lexus.... Top 10 all time car for me.
Same honestly although its in my list of very favorites where I can't decide absolute favorite this is the one car I would choose if I could choose only one car
Just because one guy has an opinion doesn't mean he's right and doesn't mean people should follow his advise even tho they've never tried the car themselves. What a bunch of stupid sheep
You forgot to mention one of, if not the coolest, facts about the LFA. The “Yamaha” brand that develops guitar’s and actually constructed this custom exhaust themselves and that’s why it sounds so good. To this day it blows my mind! You will never seen that again. Couple that with the fact that this car has one of the highest Redline’s of any production cars, you’re making magic happen. Something else I forget to mention, this car has the fastest rev’s of any car at the time. That’s why it sounds like a Superbike or F1 car. They had to construct the engine a precise and very painstaking way to get the rev’s to work that way. This is and always will be a dream car of mine. I want to say that Lexus spent more on production than what they could reasonably sell the cars for. So they essentially lost money making these and that’s another reason why they made so few. These are a pinnacle of man’s greatest achievements. And before someone asks, yes Jay Leno has one lol. Ohh what it must be like to be rich…
The sound is contributed by the most important factor i.e the LFA has 10 cylinders thats a known fact but whats interesting is that it has 10 individual throttle bodies which is one for each cylinder hence the 9000 rpm redline and 9500 rpm fuel shutoff
Jeremy Clarkson called it the best car he has ever driven. He still does to this day. He carries a picture of a blue LFA in his wallet. p.s. BTW the small switch is not for the brightness of gauge cluster, but for the shift speeds. Doug was only at shift level 4 out of 7 (bars in the gauge cluster when he went to sport mode). Far from the maximum shift speed.
Can we just appreciate for a moment that: A) This is start of the modern Doug videos, and therefore the start of modern day Car UA-cam (billions of hours of passive entertainment for normal guys) B) the best car ever built (Clarkson, 2015)
The reason it sounds amazing is because of the v10, 9000 is when it hits red line, and the exhaust was tuned by Yamaha, yes the instrument and bike maker Yamaha.
And, no, not just guys from the Engine department at Yamaha - they literally got the acoustic engineers in from the Yamaha's musical instrument and monitor departments - Yamaha guys who've never worked on a car or engine before. It actually has a specially designed acoustic resonator built by these guys.
Doug there is a thing you may not know, the +/- gear paddles are variable, if you press them gently they shift slowly if you press them hard and quick they shit faster so you can drive comfy and sporty.
5 years later and I’m here again. I always come back to these LFA videos to cleanse my automotive palate. This car resets me. Reminds me what a truly great car is in a world of all these damn EV’s which are cool in their own regard, but lack substance.
Doug is the type of guy who has to drive exotic and expensive cars without a single penny spent. Owners are even lined up to get their precious car reviewed by him and for that I envy him.
If you Google Doug's wedding you can actually see him, his bride, and all the groomsmen and bridesmaids hanging off of his Land Rover, it's actually pretty cute
Yeah, I was thinking the same. Even after 8 years, it's still holding that price. But Dough couldn't help himself, because of his attitude towards Japanese cars. Besides that his scoring for any vehicle is not logical, but just his personal opinion.
Anomaly Detection Algorithm take out the first few with the engine mounted the wrong direction, the Porsche 918 was one of the greatest super car breakthroughs of all time. Besides, it looks soo much sexier than the LFA
My uncle has one and he says he will NEVER part with it. Even though he has other (superior spec’d) cars in his collection - this is still one of his all time faves. 😄❤️
This is probably why it has such a generic key. I remember hearing that they were originally developing it to be made out of aluminum but later decided to switch to carbon fiber.
Yes, back in 2011 the "smart key" had issues, and well it took a while to work the bugs out of them.. And i truly don't understand why people like Doug thinks an 7 year old car should drive like a brand new super car.. Super cars have came a long way in the last 7 years.. And more like an 8 year old car, because i believe if they were a 2011 model, they were produced with 2010 parts..
The backstory of the lfa transmission is that when in development the designer wanted the LFA to have more of an old-school manual transmission feeling so they also included a dial to adjust how aggressive you wanted the shifting to be from a casual shift to a very speedy shift
uhmm. the comment was directed to the lack of appreciation in value that can occur with valued, select, rarefied cars that are collected. it is not reflected toward, why more people don't own the car.
This car is a Masterpiece. The Nurburgring Edition was even better. So many people see 552HP or 562HP say that's not enough. It's plenty to go around the Ring in 7:14 Sec. On Bridgestones tires. I'm not saying there bad but slap a set of Michelins or Pirelli or Dunlops. That time would be faster. If any person was a real fan of this car would know. That the single clutch gearbox they used was used for a reason. The best feel you could have without having a manual transmission. The price is rising on these cars. A Nurburgring Edition sold for 770,000 dollars on Barrett Jackson with over 1000 miles on it. I haven't even gotten to the sound of this thing. Its quick enough to get you in serious trouble. The sound can get you in trouble. The looks will break necks especially in my town. It will last forever. It's the perfect Masterpiece of a car.
M ' BAKU he did not even adjust the transmission speed. Then he called it slow. Also the keys are the valet key. The real one are made of carbon fiber.
M ' BAKU people don’t understand numbers are not everything. This car is insanely light for the HP to weight ratio. Awesome car , but crazy expensive , and obviously not a daily driver.
The LFA is my favorite car. Hands down, and will forever be. That combination between oldschool and modern tech is a work of art, and that sound… oh that glorious sound ffs ! It’s just a masterpiece in the World of Cars, it’s like the Gioconda but for cars
I think this is one of those cars that in 20+ years will be selling for $2M and people will be saying, "Remember when you could buy these for $400,000?"
Spencer Rojas I believe this car will go up in value in the future because it will probably be one of the last V10 super cars ever made. Plus, it’s limited production and may probably be very reliable.
absolutely nothing special about this car, actually looks pretty ugly.. and just because the numbers are limited, doesn't automatically mean the price will rise
Seriously, no 10 for importance?! The first Lexus super-car, the fastest car ever made by Toyota motor company, exclusive one-off Toyota V10 engine that revs up more than any Ferrari or Lamborghini, only 500 made, exclusive one-off Aisin 6-speed automated manual! And you're telling me this this not a 100% museum worthy?! Seriously Doug??!!
The creation of the V10 was lead by Lexus' chief engine designer Okamoto Takamitsu. The engine starts life at Toyota's Myochi plant. It is at this plant that the engine block is made from molted aluminium. The block is then sent to Toyota's Honsha factory. The same factory that used to be Toyota's F1 engine facility. The block will get milled, drilled and polished and emerges as a precise engine block. In a sealed room Takumi’s (Master Craftsmen) hone every sharp edge using precision polishing tools. After this a highly skilled Takumi pre-assembles the finished engine blocks to check if they fit precisely. Disassembled they travel as unit to Yamaha’s Iwata city plant. It is at this plant that 4 highly skilled Yamaha Takumi’s fully assemble V10. A process that takes 2,5 days for one engine. Before the engine gets put into an LFA, it undergoes a half day of exhaustive testing.
People are complaining about the skyrocketing price, and the rather "mediocre" specifications. The thing is, people don't buy this because of specifications, but rather the experience. The sound itself is orgasmic, emitting a lower, refined soprano, which is something that say, a V10 M5 could only ever come close to. However, the exclusivity of the vehicle, with production numbers matching the Bugatti Veyron (450). The LFA also has to live the legacy of Japan's first "Super" car, the Toyota 2000GT. It had to live up to it's reputation, although it never starred in a Bond movie, nor was it so exclusive to get it's top off, it still won the heart of Jeremy Clarkson, the orangutan itself. The LFA is a car that will be very hard to replicate for the many years to come, with it's discrete looks and unparalleled sound, it truly is the 2000GT of the Digital Age. Many can build a straight-line rocket, but only Lexus can build an LFA.
Hands down the best sounding engine in any production car, not to mention the car itself is beautiful. It baffles me that you can still buy one of these new from the factory because they sold so few of them.

Fun fact: The LFA needed to use a digital tachometer because the engine gains and drops RPM so quickly that a physical needle gauge could not move fast enough to be accurate.
I saw this supercar only a few days ago in Central London. Never seen it before then. But I instantly knew it was a very special car. And the "cool attitude" of the dude driving it gave it an extra special air.
a documentary about the making of the LFA featured a story that Lexus hired Yamaha to design the exhaust sound system... to improve the sounds, not to tune them down...
Not just the exhaust system, the whole engine is co-made by Yamaha. Toyota's had a lot of help from Yamaha over the years, usually cylinder heads. Personally, I love the looks as well, and I applaud Lexus for the fairly conservative design. People who buy cars like this just to show off don't deserve them!
Talk all you want about that lack of "immediate upshift", that little upgrade from a pure manual stickshift system to a paddle controlled sequential transmission is absolutely perfect. That lack of dual clutch forces you to still be completely in touch with the car, and the quicker shifts compared to a manual really adds to usability of the power and sound of the car. You still have to work for the power, but it probably still feels so futuristic. This car is absolutely insane and I understand what Jeremy Clarkson was saying. They simply cannot replicate this!
The Lexus LFA is an engineering masterpiece that we will never see again. This Car is the Soprano of the Automotive world a Mechanical symphony thats simply breathtaking.
Most must understand that the LFA took 10 years for Lexus [TRD] to develop. So, some of it's features were tried and tested options from the Toyota Group over a span of years. It was a mix of technology of 2001 to 2011. A sort of best of or a Decade Car. Showcasing that Toyota is ahead of most companies in development and quality control.
Lol Lexus/Toyota Would go even a million miles, Ford would get you ten miles no wonder when you purchase one it comes with a ford shoe for the customers walk home.
Doug, if there is ever a car you should think of reviewing again, it's this car. Just to grace the internet with another video highlighting its sonorous engine note. What an object of just absolute auditory bliss. Do it, Doug!
I remember when the LFA launched, the transmission was routed as otherworldly fast. Amazing that a few years later, it's considered slow compared to more modern transmissions
The car still is amazing. It's still fast. But being 2012 and very old. Its still able to keep up with some of the youngsters. Not as fast but very very nice
@Razvan J proper racecars use sequential. Since they don't care about long term reliability they can shift without using the clutch, giving them nearly instant shifts, they are also significantly lighter than dual clutch
yeah, dct/pdk wasn't really a thing for high-power cars until 2011 or 2012, and the bulk of this car was developed in the late 2000s anyways. plus, the aventador was also using a single clutch automated trans, so it's quite period correct.
Jeremy Clarkson said it was the best car he's ever driven in his life there's only one other car that can hold a torch to it which being a Ferrari. the LFA Nurburgring Edition had the Nurburgring record for production cars at the time of its release.
7:14 for the track version. 7:30 or 7:22 with the standard LFA. Time difference was due to race--slicks vs OEM. This thing is monster fast. Even today.
I think the LFA is the coolest supercar... in the world. A brilliant and rare supercar from a non-exotic brand, naturally aspirated V10, 9000 rpm redline, and actually a high-quality automobile. It's the only car I've heard multiple journalists call the best car they've ever driven. It being a Lexus doesn't bother me at all. I'd much rather have the LFA than your typical attention-seeking supercar. I just hope that Toyota would do something similar again.
Lexus IS and DID make a car like this... never heard of the LC500? It's a REAL concept car to buy! But sadly had a crappy sounding V8 over a V10 which would make it perfect... but it's much more beautiful, as luxurious and almost as fast
I see one everyday at my job. The Director of the Psychiatric Department aka the Head Psychiatrist of my hospital has one. Black on black, beautiful car tbh. Its his daily driver, he owns a GT2 RS and Range Rover Supercharged as well (which he drives ocasionally cuz its his wife)
They purposely didn't do a dual clutch because they wanted you to feel the shifts for a better driving experience. Jeremy Clarkson said so and I believe that man.
Victor Torres they wanted to bridge the gap between a dct and a manual. They made a transmission that feels like a manual when shifting but isn’t as slow (and distracting, when doing hotlaps for example) as a manual when shifting.
Augustas Malisauskas it’s shifting speed will still outweigh the (weight) problem. So it’s probably like OP said the feel of the transmission was the main purpose of the LFA’s transmission.
So, I just finished watching a NatGeo vid about the LFA factory. I recommend watching it. They go into detail about that exhaust note Doug is in love with. Pretty interesting stuff, Yamaha helped design the engine. Yamaha also makes musical instruments. They made one helluva instrument out of the top of that engine, then coax that sound into the cockpit. Really crazy stuff. I want one. Now. It's has occurred to me that my above comment is nothing new to any of you. Just me. So, let's just say I'm talking to myself, m’kay?
Yamaha also co designed the 7th gen celica engine, because they needed a small 100hp per litre motor. It also has a great sound for a 4 banger when it goes over 8000rpms.
They got help from Yamaha's musical department to make the exhaust! Not Yamaha's motor co! But Yamaha allways had good sounding engine/exhaust notes tho;)

Yet Ferrari, McLaren, and Porsche can make superior cars for less. Consumers shouldn't have to pay 400k for Toyota's lack of knowledge on producing exotic sport cars. I don't want to hear it's their first sports car, they had all the time to disassemble and reverse engineer the european exotics (much like Nissan and Acura did with GT-R and NSX2)
Eric Vu It's so expensive because they spent nine years to perfect it. They had the car almost done, but they started all over again making it with carbon fiber rather than aluminium. The amount spent to make the cars is nothing short of astonishing. THIS is the perfect example of never giving up no matter what. That gives the car so much more soul than any other modern supercar. EDIT: Wow, 85 likes! That's more than I have ever gotten on a comment!
Toyota poured billions into their Formula 1 program, yet they failed to achieve their goal. For the LFA, IMHO they should have had Lotus design the chassis and an Italian designer do the body work. They did well with Yamaha designing the engine. They switched from aluminum to CF because the car was too heavy.

My fn2 civic type R does the same, all the best cars from 2006 do🤣
There is the mind set behind all the lip service. They just can't admit that this is a better car than the European junk super cars.
I notice that a lot from Doug. Whether or not something is "cool" for him is EXTREMELY subjective. One car will have a feature, and it's "cool"...another car can have the same exact feature, yet it's "disappointing".
I think it's because he is used to thinking of Lexus as a luxury brand that produces advanced and comfortable cars, while Ferrari makes more cars that are about driving experience.
@@squidproquo2241 Except it isn't
Genuine question, do you know anything about cars?
European supercars have faster acceleration, better top speed, have lighter weight, better engines, better handling, turning radius aerodynamics, comfort, design, sound, etc...
Tell how is this better?
No seriously explain you ckmplete and utter uneducated moron.
Fact of the day is, European supercars are and always will be decades ahead of Japanese ones.
If European supercars arejunk then Japanese supercars are a burning dumpsterfire that shouldn't exist

Would love to see its Doug score now, 4 years later after all the amazing, unique, and new cars you’ve reviewed. I think it would score higher as these types of cars are on their way out of everyday life into the pages of history. This is easily a million dollar car by 2022 standards and give it another 5, who knows… sky is the limit, especially with the lore and rarity this car has and the influence it had on not just Lexus but the industry as a whole. Truly iconic.

The key shown in this video is the valet key lexus gives for the LFA, the original key is a carbon fiber made key and it looks beautiful
the key shown is identical to the spare key for my '99 IS200 lmao
Yep i just looked into the google Lfa's normal key is carbon fiber and it looks pretty cool
I've never seen a LFA and probably never will. I did see a Bugatti Veyron tooling around urban Denver, CO in heavy rush hour traffic a few years ago.
Cool info... Thank you for that.
Yeah it goes from idle to redline in like .6 seconds
upshifting fast is the transmission's job not the engine's job
it isn't about the upshifts, in fact the gearbox of lfa is just a single clutch and the shifts are quite slow compared to dual clutch gearboxes. the reason for digital tachometer is that lfa engine can gain and lose revs real fast. it's apparent when you watch another supercar's tachometer and lfa's side by side. lfa's tachometer needle is almost jittery, while others are quite stable. the engine is just too sensitive to throttle input that physical tachometers cannot display it
Thanks for repeating jeremy clarkson

@Michael Pullins When the LFA was designed, F1 WAS using V10s and Toyota (Lexus' parent company) was in F1, using a V10. The LFA engine uses F1 tech in it, so your "V6 comment" is wrong.
Packaging should definitely be a priority when designing sports cars. Proportions and weight distribution matter, and V6 engines can put out quite a bit of power relative to their size (especially with forced induction). As for balance issues, those are corrected with shafts. The people behind formula 1 aren't idiots. They know how to design a performance car.
Michael Pullins imagine getting so defensive over car engines. Good lord

Jay Leno is a freaking BADASS!

That exhaust note deserves a Grammy
The reason it sounds amazing is because of the v10, 9000 is when it hits red line, and the exhaust was tuned by Yamaha, yes the instrument and bike maker Yamaha.
ram07ish This isnt the only Toyota Yamaha has worked with
the entire engine was made by yamaha
Yamaha made the performance V6 for the 1990s ford taurus SHO, as well

thank you Yamaha.
Considering the first final production prototype was given to the press in October 2009, it is more like 8.5 years old.
Yeah..
One thing that wasn't mentioned the LFA required the use of a digital gauge as a analog tachometer cannot keep up with how quickly the engine can rev
Hammond mentioned that in the review ;)
The backstory of the lfa transmission is that when in development the designer wanted the LFA to have more of an old-school manual transmission feeling so they also included a dial to adjust how aggressive you wanted the shifting to be from a casual shift to a very speedy shift

That the single clutch gearbox they used was used for a reason. The best feel you could have without having a manual transmission. The price is rising on these cars.

That's actually a BIG fuckin deal.. Yamaha Audio are like what Samsung is to the phone world today.. EVERYbody copies the shit they do.
actualy not just the exhaust the entire engine was developed in cooperation with yamaha
@B Pr no and yes. Its more supra than the new badged supra..
Jeremy Clarkson said it was the best car he's ever driven in his life there's only one other car that can hold a torch to it which being a Ferrari. the LFA Nurburgring Edition had the Nurburgring record for production cars at the time of its release.
Owen Roch Clarkson says that about every other week.
7:14 for the track version. 7:30 or 7:22 with the standard LFA. Time difference was due to race--slicks vs OEM.
This thing is monster fast. Even today.
The Viper ACR, the Gumper Apollo Sport and some street legal gokarts say you're lying about the record.
I just hope that Toyota would do something similar again.
piet the 2 higher end cars I would want to have are the Lexus LFA and Acura NSX
attention seeking super cars ? So this this is subtle to you ? derp
piet would you rather to have lexus Lfa or Ferrari f40
MaeLsTRom Ferrari f40 sell it for 1m then buy an lfa and still have 600k left over
Lexus IS and DID make a car like this... never heard of the LC500? It's a REAL concept car to buy! But sadly had a crappy sounding V8 over a V10 which would make it perfect... but it's much more beautiful, as luxurious and almost as fast
Remember when LFA’s only cost $388,000? Yeah, those were good times.
How much does it worth now??
@@ClassyClips0 $1.0-$1.5 million USD
@@ClassyClips0 im pretty sure 1 was sold for a million
@@ClassyClips0around or a little less than a million. I can think of what they're called but the special editions go for 1.5m
Id probably freak out more if i saw an LFA on the road than a bugatti
Nick The D me too
I see one everyday at my job. The Director of the Psychiatric Department aka the Head Psychiatrist of my hospital has one. Black on black, beautiful car tbh. Its his daily driver, he owns a GT2 RS and Range Rover Supercharged as well (which he drives ocasionally cuz its his wife)
They are more rare, Lexus made less LFA’s
Costel Coaie no not really, why?
Nick The D Same here!
@Doug DeMuro. Can you review my razor scooter? It has great mileage.
Only if it has bumper-to-bumper unlimited mileage warranty.
Mouldy CPU lol good reference ;)
Lol
Electric Scooters are more amazing than a Lexus LFA.
How often do you give it services?
They purposely didn't do a dual clutch because they wanted you to feel the shifts for a better driving experience. Jeremy Clarkson said so and I believe that man.
sk8punk318 well then u might as well just 3 pedals in the car🤣
Victor Torres they wanted to bridge the gap between a dct and a manual. They made a transmission that feels like a manual when shifting but isn’t as slow (and distracting, when doing hotlaps for example) as a manual when shifting.
Dual clutch is too heavy.
Augustas Malisauskas it’s shifting speed will still outweigh the (weight) problem. So it’s probably like OP said the feel of the transmission was the main purpose of the LFA’s transmission.
What happend to clarkson, dude looks like he's hungover as hell all the time.
So funny watching this 4 years down the the line and Doug gives his Doug Score and the only competitor is his Range Rover 😂
You know it’s a special car when the owner of an Audi dealership owns one
So, I just finished watching a NatGeo vid about the LFA factory. I recommend watching it. They go into detail about that exhaust note Doug is in love with. Pretty interesting stuff, Yamaha helped design the engine. Yamaha also makes musical instruments. They made one helluva instrument out of the top of that engine, then coax that sound into the cockpit. Really crazy stuff.
I want one.
Now.
It's has occurred to me that my above comment is nothing new to any of you. Just me. So, let's just say I'm talking to myself, m’kay?
They also make ya know... motorbikes so they know q thing ir two about exhausts
Yamaha also co designed the 7th gen celica engine, because they needed a small 100hp per litre motor. It also has a great sound for a 4 banger when it goes over 8000rpms.
also the Volvo v8s which had an incredible exhaust profile as well
@@WayStedYou It's more about the intake than the exhaust on this one
They hired Yamaha exclusively for the exhaust note department. You didn't mention that :P
IKR and yamaha IMO make one of those engine that sounds orgasmic.
Jash Croft did you also hear this from top gear lmao
They got help from Yamaha's musical department to make the exhaust! Not Yamaha's motor co! But Yamaha allways had good sounding engine/exhaust notes tho;)
jalopnik.com/5409408/yamaha-wants-you-to-hear-the-lexus-lfa
you are correct. Yamaha music division worked directly with the engine designers to tune the intake manifold to a specific frequency for combustion.
Jeremy Clarkson said the LFA is the best car he's ever driven. Current values seem to echo his sentiment.

When you own an audi shop and drive a lfa instead of a R8
JokingII chen his R8 is parked in his dealerships show room
@@michaelt9788 I think you meant "service/repair section" instead of "show room"
Michael T ah I see

New quarantine game: drink every time Doug says “quirk” in his videos
**watches no videos from him**
what?
@@michaeljankowski6225 you said every time he says quirks in his videos. therefore, if i watch no videos, i hear no quirks, therefore i dont end up drunk

Lmfao
Correct
Yeah, mine always does it if the car engine is very audible.
Same
I mean they re not wrong
“Now, some exotic car companies lie about what number your car is. I’m not going to name names because I don’t wanna get sued.” LMAO 🤣 Talk 😜 about hilarious!!!! At 5:12
Doug should try the dougscore on himself. We want to know his unusual quirks and features
A bit of an overview would be nice too
and then his fiance?
yes, get rid of the scoresh...
Simonas Mažeikis "fiance" ??? I think we all know he meant "Felipo" lol
Like what kinda porn does he watch
You Heard it here first coming from a guy who has driven a Carrera GT that an LFA is the best sounding car in the World
LA of LA because it is
GD Complexion not better than cgt
GD Complexion it ks pretty good tho
But is it better sounding than a CGT with straight pipes? That thing is godly.
Jeremy Clarkson said that the LFA is the best car he's driven in the world.
People complain about the price but forget that Lexus lost money with every single sale of the LFA
I heard they actually made a profit
Toyota poured billions into their Formula 1 program, yet they failed to achieve their goal. For the LFA, IMHO they should have had Lotus design the chassis and an Italian designer do the body work. They did well with Yamaha designing the engine. They switched from aluminum to CF because the car was too heavy.
they do, people just love to think top gear is right about every fucking thing.
And you know this is the only supercar that could go 300,000 miles.
