Consistency and dedication is key, i started boxing 5 months ago, i have not missed a day and i train like i have a fight, we spar with many other gyms 2-3 times a week and i always beat up on guys that have been boxing for 3 plus years sometimes 8 years, its not because im so much more talented than they are its because they are on and off, their lack of dedication and consistency is their downfall, i have surpassed so many of my teammates just by training hard, my advice is, if you really want to box, be all in, or dont be in it at all.

My old gym was only 100 bucks and it was run by Steve Cunningham guy who dropped Tyson fury before and it had a full weight room with treadmills etc, jump ropes speed bag double end bag u name it nice equipment too. My Current gym also run by a legit former pro with the same stuff and a sauna only 100 too. If that’s the only gym in your area I feel bad asf because they are greedy scumbags.

I dropped out of school to persue a career as a pro boxer so I train 2 to 3 times per day but the country I am in does not have the best amateur boxing scene (we have nationals but it’s at a way lower level than nationals in America)
I am however surrounded by other professionals in my gym that I always spar including a former world champion.

Make sure you’re still eating right and still lifting so you don’t sacrifice your strength for the conditioning. You will be able to will yourself to stay in a fight no matter how good your opponent is. Running for long distances also makes your chin/tolerance for punches to the head better.
