I’m surprised they actually kept this one up after the allegations that producers gave him alcohol knowing he was struggling with addiction so he would be so intoxicated he could barely walk on stage and make for a good TV. On the bright side Todd is sober now
Alcoholism is no joke. My oldest sister was severely alcoholic and drank close to 2-3 liters of hardcore alcohol a day. She did get to rehab and remained sober for 6 years. Sadly she passed away from liver failure and sepsis from a leaky appendix. in November of 2020. Though she remained sober, she was addicted to Pepsi and a heavy smoker, and her overall health was sketchy. Still, she was active and wasn’t ever sick until the last 4 months of her life. The hardest part of all of this, the doctor she initially saw could have saved her but instead blamed it as being COVID and never even did an exam or any blood tests. She NEVER had COVID.
So very sorry for your loss - that was a very negligent doctor - how could he/she say someone has COVID without even doing a test, especially since they have been readily available?! I sure hope your family was able to sue his/her negligent butt for malpractice resulting in wrongful death. May your sister RIP.
Dr. Phil's channel has been going back through old videos and turning on the comments, AND THAT IS WHY THERE ARE ONLY A FEW. Now you know, so don't waste your comment on how many comments there are.
You have to give an alcoholic alcohol until they can get to a facility. Some facilities will actually prescribe it. I have seen it done. Stop commenting on stuff you know nothing about. He should not have been given a whole bottle but he can die without it for even hours
I get it!! The guilt, the lying, the secrets. The just wanting to be alone with your drug of choice (DOC). I see you love. I'm rooting for you. Reach out anytime. Even if just for today!! I promise I won't judge
@@jarnold1789 Exactly some people would argue against pot but I don’t see why someone would wanna chose alcohol over some weed. At least you can walk even when taking high doses of Thc, alcohol just destroys the body internally and mentally
This poor man, my mom has a problem with alcohol, and them just telling him that he's killing himself (it was in a previous video) is really damaging and it would probably make him even more stressed and drink more. This is why I don't like Dr.Phil. ALSO giving all of his struggles to the public isn't good. This man is intoxicated and doesn't really have control over what he's saying.
Apparently, in one of his previous appearances, a bottle of vodka was allegedly intentionally “left” in his dressing room (which he drank, obv), and then the producers (again, allegedly) gave him Xanax. That’s (allegedly....) how the “dramatic” episode where they needed to carry him to stage was created. I agree with you - how they’ve handled it, and him being on the show at all, seems so unethical. At least sw him when he’s sober!! Every appearance I’ve seen, he’s clearly intoxicated, and I don’t understand how he’s able to give consent!! :(
Amera Beari Yeah, him doing well AFTER having been on Dr Phil, possibly having his sobriety sabotaged for ratings, and going through the pressures of a nationwide audience? That makes me like him infinitely more. He may not even know how incredibly strong he is. He may think he’s weak and got healthy thanks to Dr Phil - but he’s _strong_ and got healthy _in spite of_ Dr Phil 🥰
I've been through the same thing with my mum, she was an alcoholic. She died in 2017 because of it and it hit me real hard, I was only 9 turning 10. I hope she will be OK I wish you and your family the best.
I spoke to Todd and apparently he doesn’t have cirrhosis and the whole thing was massively exaggerated. He did drink a bottle of vodka but not three litres a day as was claimed. The whole thing is a circus
@@TattooLover3000 I DM’d him on Instagram about a year ago asking what actually happened and whether his health was ok. And yeah he makes them, they’re so cool!
@@jmc8529actually it has. There have been deaths bc ppl are driving under the influence, and therefore killing other people. OR they get into fatal accidents bc they are extremely high. So there’s that. Yes, there are no cases of fatality directly linked to marijauna , but it CAN trigger cardiovascular complications in young people.

I don’t think it’s exploiting if someone else wakes up and learns from this.. people need to see that alcoholism is real.. I dealt with someone who is an alcoholic and it’s no joke.. if someone else can see this a learn from it that’s all that matters.

wow u r the only comment
@@emmasissons8318 This channel just recently opened up the comments section that's why.
I read that they also gave him a Xanax backstage and told him it would help ‘calm his nerves’.
@Overhead Press hes been sober for a while so thats not true.
@Vid its not true.
They exploited him terribly for this segment, but he’s been sober for quite a while now and makes custom Pop Survivor characters and sells them!

That’s horrible to hear how they blamed Covid 19 on her death
My elementary school physical education teacher drank himself to death a couple of years ago very sad I was shocked when I saw that

This is sad, Todd is one of my favourite Winners
Dw, Todd is alright now and is (from what I heard) since 2020 married with his boyfriend at the time (now husband).
Poor baby. This is real and I’ve been going through it for a few years. It’s torture and no one gets it

And you believe the alcoholic ...whatever
He was sober when he arrived at the studio! They put vodka and xanax in his dressing room! Same as Englands Jeremy Kyle show!!
I think that was his 1st appearance. I think this one he was just drunk as hell...I could be mistaken though.
Yeah dr Phil is not cool
Where's the hair and makeup person? Interesting that he was allowed to look so disheveled.
It was the first time because he was shown in the dressing room drinking a vodka and coke
How do you know this?
Where can i watch this full episode? I can’t find it anywhere.

Yes.
