I feel you man, I just started drawing a month ago and this helps a lot. I'm a designer, I have good advanced concepts, but drawing? It's being quite challenging, but that's how it is, you spend some time drawing monstrosities and then you start to improve, keep trying, when you want to stop the most is when it's the worst time.
I think a good way to recognize mistakes and correcting them is to join a community of artists and asking for evalutions of your art and studies. Also, 12:07 not Magnus sleeping 💀 lol
what the hell??!! directly used ur link for skillshare! literally the perfect timing because i want to take art more seriously and learn effectively! Thx for the free trial!
Your perspective is really so awesome and personal in a way that’s so uncommon to see in art people. I love the vulnerability of your journey and it inspires me to embrace the human part of my own. A lot of what you say is very intuitive but emotionally difficult to accept because we struggle to accept our weaknesses. You are brave to share your story and inspire us to be as brave as you. Keep doing what you’re doing. 🎉
I'm trying to rekindle the love I had for drawing and creating whatever I wanted; be it imagination or references. Even if I'm grown up and have an indifferent approach to my own art, than when I was a kid, each of your videos have helped me learn and discover more about myself as an artist. You've helped me realise that, most of all, each drawing (no matter how big or small) is still a form of progress. Just wanted to say thanks for inspiring a fellow artist and happy subscriber❤
Im almost 14 and i started drawing again after 6 months, though i havent lost skill i wanted to stop drawing what i liked and wanted to draw geges atakumi's artstyle, even though i didnt do what you did to ''improve'' for that year i decided to draw random characters, perspective, face, body and fighting poses, and already after 5 days ive already seen a improvement and right now im still im still improving, but when i see a mistake in a drawing i put my paper beside the refrence and see what i did wrong, currently i draw around 8 - 10 hours evreyday since i stopped using youtube, games etc and im see less mistakes overtime because of that, hopefully someone reads this and takes info from me.
I never make the effort of reacting on video’s, but I just have to say that the way you love learning is very contagious and I really enjoyed this video. You’re an awesome teacher
What I did for my practice method was upload my current drawings on ChatGPT along with examples from artists I like. I then explained what I wanted to draw and created a plan based on my weaknesses and goals. Since then, I feel like I’ve really been progressing
Bro we’re literally thesame person lol, I got a Brent eviston’s course, later got his book on figure drawing. I’ve also been learning about how the brain works in order to improve my learning ability😂 it’s been a ride fr, I started just summer of this year tho
"my skill wasn't at the level where I could manifest what I was imagining" that's a bar. These are the eternal breaks of drawing lol
