    I first went vegan over 10 years ago.. then 100% raw and I even ate fruit only for a while there.. detox is REAL. We need to build up from a strong foundation. I had to get rid of the overwhelming toxins from my youth. Fruit and fasting is very powerful. Now I eat a balanced diet of natural fruits n veggies! If anyone is starting out just hang in there! You got this!! 👍

      What "toxins" did you have in your body?

    • @theinfinitecup
      @theinfinitecup 6 років тому +14

      The standard American diet made my body extremely toxic. Growing up on fast food and meat/dairy = toxic city lol

    • @swissladydriver8980
      @swissladydriver8980 6 років тому +3

      So, there wasn't any specific toxin, is that what you're saying?

    • @theinfinitecup
      @theinfinitecup 6 років тому +13

      Swiss Lady Driver hundreds of thousands of toxins. Everything from heavy metals, environmental pollutants, and inside the house.. all of us are taking in loads of toxins daily

    • @swissladydriver8980
      @swissladydriver8980 6 років тому +2

      I'm asking because even who don't eat high Quality Foods and live in all sorts of dwellings do not have toxic or pathologic Levels of various heavy metals or environmental pollutants in their bodies. The human Body is very efficient at metabolizing or Clearing various potentially harmful or poisonous substances as well as reparing damage on the genetic and cellular level. So, did you ever receive a diagnosis of lead poisoning or asbestosis or something like that or are you simply assuming that you were "toxic"?

      Hehe..so my friend bought this face cream, masks and cleansing products (all in all 300 dollars) from some shady cosmetologist. She used it for two days and developed red rash on her cheeks and forehead. She called that cosmetologist and the answer she got: 'Its a detoxing reaction. Some toxins accumulated in your skin and underlying tissue are clearing out'. Another three days and some very painful sores later turned out that detox reaction was a chemical burn.

    I'm really surprised she didn't talk about gas. Gas and bloating are really common in the beginning, since many people don't have the enzymes in their digestive tract to digest so many fruits and veggies at one time. It takes a little while to build them up, but after you do, you tend to feel so much better.

    • @michellesf3722
      @michellesf3722 5 років тому +4

      Yeah. So on my first raw day I ate 3 oranges for breakfast and it made me really sick. I thought I got food poisoning, which I guess is still possible. On my 4th raw day I had a tummy ache like some cramping after having a huge smoothie . Besides that I’ve been feeling great. I definetly think a lack of enzymes could be playing a role here and I think it will clear up soon! I’m following Kristina’s book mostly but with a couple changes and a couple cooked things here and there and it’s been great so far!

    I felt great at first as a vegan then the detox symptoms came a few weeks in. I got flu like symptoms, acne, bloating, emotional upset, low energy. But it’s getting BETTER! Now I have more energy that I have had in YEARS. I used to not be able to get through a day without a nap. Now I’m like what is a nap? I don’t need those lol. Also I wake up way earlier than before and I feel energized and happy. My skin is clearing up, my hormones are getting balanced (I used to have really bad periods where I would pass out) it healed my depression and so much more. I’m only about 6 months in and my life has changed. I embrace the detox now because it means in just a little while you will FEEL THE BEST YOU EVER HAVE IN YOUR LIFE!! Just be patient and be kind to yourself :)

    This video is so on time! I am pretty sick and am at the point that I have to do something to turn this around. I have most of the symptoms sans the Diabetes that you mentioned in the video. Ironically I started juicing this weekend and eating more fruits/veg than I think I ever have in life. The inflammation in my body is off the hook and got worse when I started the juicing and fruit. Naturally I didn't understand why I am experiencing more inflammation now and was about to stop my new regimen when I saw you posted a new video on detox symptoms! Your words are encouraging to keep going and ride out the symptoms. Hopefully by this time next week my body will have adjusted or I will tweak the fruit and veg I'm consuming because I may have an allergy I wasn't aware of. Thanks again!

    This channel is fantastic. Really thank you. There is nothing quite like it. For the first time in my life I woke up early naturally and didn't feel tired or in a bad mood or want to nap at all during the day. There is so much less processing your body has to do and free energy to actually feel good. And then the fact that it takes less time to prepare meals makes it even more achievable.

    I was afraid of losing weight as I was already underweight, but after learning about it I decided it was worth the risk. The energy alone is worth everything, even though I did lose a little more weight, I feel so much more healthy that it's worth it. Doctors tell me I need to eat more, but that's not in my budget to eat more of what makes me feel good, and I don't think eating foods that drain my energy and cause me so much pain are worth being what other people consider a healthy weight. I feel weird winging it with my health, but listening to my body and energy levels was the best choice I ever made, so I'm trusting that. My boyfriend thinks I'm anorexic, but I eat only what feels good, and I eat as much as I can. I just don't wanna suffer for what society expects me to be. Anyone know ways to gain on this diet on an extreme budget? I watched her video on it, I wish I could do those things but I can't right now.

    I was a raw vegan for a solid 8 months. after being vegan for 6 years. I felt good, skin was so good and never looked better BUT my IBD did not improve I was going to the bathroom more than 10 times a day and couldn't handle the high fibre, roughage and water retention.
    I want to go back but its such a challenge and the produce where i live is not good at all.
    I even gave up my job to stay home and try it (couldn't even travel) still vegan but cooked half raw, no grains. food like kelp noodles are the strongest laxatives for me

    Jahnes love Kristina. Thanks for sharing your experience when you first became fullyraw vegan. I have been on the path since 2007 and before that I was a vegan for many years. I have gone through the phases of being vegetarian, beegan, vegan and fullyrawvegan. But being homeless has been hard. And my body was in shock from not having my raw vegan soups and juices. I am planning to return to NYC so I can get back to making rawvegan soups in my Vitamix or Kuvengs. And, I like to detox. I am using this raw vegan detox mix that is made with organic spirulina, wheat grass, chlorella and my bowel movements are better. The detox is helping to alkaline my system. And I feel much better. Blessed love.

    I was a vegetarian for years. It was a very negative experience for me. I'm currently on a high protein, whole foods diet. I can not do a high carb diet, or a diet dependent on plant protein (especially soy). I can relate to the detox though. When I detoxed from carbs it was wicked, but now I feel amazing. However I find these videos invaluable and I love my green smoothies. :-)

    Long story short I’m vegan now but once I get a job I want to become highly raw vegan and that means buying more fruits and vegetables (obvi). I was curious if you could make a video on budgeting? And don’t be scared to let us know how much it cost because it’s honestly so much more worth spending money on yummy healthy fruits and veggies than nights in the hospital or unnecessary medications. I truly want to be smart about what I’m buying as a soon to be raw vegan and I want to be able to buy things knowing I’m not paying too much or too little. I do realize that I should definitely experiment on my own and create a budget that works for me but maybe you could make a video on helpful tips? Love your peaceful videos so much! Have a beautiful day!🧡

    • @heleneangelo5132
      @heleneangelo5132 6 років тому +6

      I think your budget can be very different depending on where you live and what kind of products you buy. For example, when I go to my hometown, it costs me 20 dollars a day but now it costs me 20 dollars a week in the countryside. The reason why I save more money is because I choose to buy the cheapest vegetables in season that I see in markets (beets, zucchinis, salads, ...) but in big quantities and I make juices with it. And since I live in France, vegetables are much more affordable and better quality than fruits. So I don't buy a lot of fruits. The vegetables are cheap, but they are not cheap in terms of nutritional value ;) I think if you want to save money, you should be smart with your choices !

      Save money and eat loads of bananas. Cheap and delicious. Eat on its own or with freshly grounded peanut butter and of course lots of frozen banana nice cream. My husband and I were on a very tight budget and he lost 100lbs in 3 months of just eating bananas. Once you have extra money, incorporate other fruit meals or salads you enjoy. We both now eat 2 large meals a day which costs about 8$ per day. Look for sales on produce and stock up, freeze. Shop at bulk stores such as Costco or SAMs club. You can make being raw as cheap as you want. Don't let money stop you. If you pick apart how much money you spend a week on things (eating out, coffee, activities, snacks, shopping and regular meals in general) I'm sure you'll find unnecessary spending or ways to cut back. Health is wealth!! Good luck on your journey!:)

    • @Pumpped
      @Pumpped 6 років тому

      Original reply to this comment is bad advice. If you go raw vegan your predominant source of calories should be fruit.. like Gina said, bananas are very cheap and calorie dense. I would eat at least 10 bananas a day or more. Dates are also great for calories, and melons when theyre in season. Stay away from too many nuts and seeds/ avocados. If you want all the detox benefits you have to stay low fat.

    My only worry with fruit is the sugar esp after having just been a cancer patient with an aggressive cancer. Whilst I was under investigation for the disease my diet changed drastically for around a month n half /2 only eating veg and the odd berries. But things still progressed and quite quickly. I'm not saying it was the cause ofcourse not but I'm not sure it did anything in the way of helping either. Unless your able to tolerate all that sugar (difficult with parasitic and candida issues) this diet can be a little challenging.

I took dried fruit, nuts and other snacks with me until I was able to get to the grocery store. I am making my first international trip since becoming vegan in November. I will have a kitchen. I was wondering if I should take certain staples with me for a day or two until I find out about local markets.

    Hi Kristina, My girlfriend Has crohns disease, and a severe rectal prolapse after a hemorrhoid operation one year ago. She also suffers from severe anxiety and ptsd.(just finnished a 2 year divorse where she was robbed and bled by the court system) She smokes, drinks coffee, and eats a lot of junk. She also takes anti depressants, pain killers, and vallium. I've pretty much walked away, after the surgeon just told her (literally 1hr ago) that she will have to wait up to 3 months for the operation, and there is a chance it will grow back. I havent helped her situation by drilling her about her habits, and the universe is telling me to walk away but she is an awesome person. Not sure if you can help? Maybe she will listen to someone with your experience. kind regards phill

I have never been sick so eating fresh raw veggies is for my health and well being.
