Honestly, this woman gives off such joy when she cooks. It's a pleasure to watch her videos, and it makes whatever food she makes seem even more appealing. Love her!
Those cookies are looking great and must be really delicious too and I love chocolate cookies so much and would eat those in no time. Thanks for sharing this recipe with us all.
I can't wait to try these, but the recipe link gives different ingredient amts. than Sarah does in the video. The recipe calls for 2/3 cup of the cocoa and 1 1/4 cups of the brown sugar. Which are the correct amounts??
the bowl she's holding looks to me like 2/3 cup cocoa powder. I think she just misspoke. as for sugar, there is some wiggle room. I think it's ok to use the printed recipe.
I use flax eggs, pumpkin puree, or sometimes aqua -faba (the liquid from canned chickpeas). I am not sure which one would be best for this recipe--but I would guess any would work. Hope someone from Everyday Food weighs in as they are a better authority than I. Good luck :)
i know in cakes you can substitute butter for canola oil, but i´m not sure if you could do that in the case of cookies, maybe just try looking it up and see the options! Good Luck :)
Almonds are expensive, so buying it ground, or doing your own, is still not cheap, compared to using a. p. flour, - but you could try using half almond and half flour!

So good! I added toasted coconut to my batter the second time around.
It's so wonderful to see Sarah smile and laugh again! The cookies look yummy!

On the recipe it says sweetened coconut
How much flour should I use if I want to use flour??
Just replace the almond flour with all purpose 1:1 ratio.
@@summerrose1545 thnx :)
Would it be possible to use flour instead of the almond flour??
From experience (not this recipe but others), yes.
@@summerrose1545 thanks!
What to use instead of butter?

Coconut oil?
She suggested margarine in the video.
👍
Lol, you put tape over the bowl to cover the brand of the mixer to only make it more noticeable.
Almond meal is that expensive?
Not really. You can grind your own almond flour in a food processor with sugar, so it doesn't turn into almost butter.

Idk if you live near a Trader Joe’s but they sell somewhat more affordable almond meal than most places I’ve seen
Depends, but most nut products outside of peanuts are pricey in general.
if i'm keeping an eye on my nuts while toasting the almonds, i'll probably burn the almonds. seems counterintuitive.
Could i use margarine instead of butter?
She does suggest that as an alternative.
I would toast the coconut...
I put my almonds in the microwave on high for 3 minutes.
I hate her when she hits the utensils so hard.
