Yo guys DO NOT forget to consider the size of the tin you're using. If something makes your mouth itch it's very likely that you are allergic/sensitive to it. My brother always said that tomatoes "feel/taste/itch" like pineapples (which is SO not normal) and then we found out he was reactive to it :/
I made this and this one tastes soo good. Pro-tip: use less sugar. The recipe says that you need 300g of sugar but I only used 230g and its still really really sweet. Also, make sure to cover the top of the brownie with a tin foil to make sure that the top is not burnt. My oven's pretty hot so mine was a little bit burnt but its okay.
I’ve been making this recipe for years with half the sugar and I’ve never had anyone tell me it wasn’t sweet enough. I usually pair it with vanilla ice cream so it works great being less sweet
i do, i make my brownies cakey since day 1. Tho i didnt know anything about this science behind brownies, i just bake them without a recipe and they all came out cakey
This recipe (well, the one for fudgy brownies) is great. Made it twice now. It IS a bit on the sweet side for my taste (2T + 2t sugar per brownie is a lot of sugar), so next time I'm going to try cutting the sugar back to one cup and see how that works. Unless you like a pretty sweet brownie, my advice is cut the sugar a bit.
So on the off chance that anyone sees this comment, I just made a batch of the fudgy brownies with Guittard Akoma Extra Semisweet chips (55%) and I used 10 tablespoons of sugar. They are delicious, just sweet enough, and this is how I'll make them in the future. I wouldn't go any lighter on the sugar than that.
I've found a third way which I fancy more than both. Use the amount of flour you would use for a fudgy brownie but instead of mixing the melted chocolate and the sugar first, mix the sugar with eggs in high speed until it becomes foamy. Then continue from there... That makes it lovely!
I agree. Mixing the sugar with the eggs to create a foam, then adding the melted chocolate certainly seems to make my brownies better in texture and more fudgy. I read this in another recipe and it worked for me.
Tips from perfect Brazilian brownie recipe: 1)Add a tea spoon of instant coffee, 2) Part of the sugar is brown sugar, 3) Give 3 hits (on the table) to the pan before baking to settle the brownie, 4) Give 3 other hits when take out from oven, 4) Cut with plastic scraper (those large, square shape) it will not stick to it. Hope could helps.
When I made the BEST BROWNIE EVER (another recipe) I used almost the same amount of flour as cocoa. Not kidding! I had 64 g of flour and 56 g of cocoa, so less than 2 teaspoons in difference. This made the brownie a lot less sweet, because cocoa is very bitter, and obviously enhanced the chocolate flavour. I also cut the sugar quite a bit, and it turned out devine! Still with the wrinkley top, despite less sugar. So that's definitely a tip! 1/4 cup is very little cocoa compared to flour imo.

@@yanyanys I used both . After 30 minutes I checked, it was cracked a little and took it out of the oven. It was perfect, but I think 20-25 minutes would be enough instead of 30-40 . It depends on your oven though.
I added chocolate, candied orange peel and roasted almonds😁 always coat your add-on ingredients in a layer of flour before putting them in batter so that they don't sink to the bottom❤️

Tried the recipe following the tips, came out nicely with its texture & wonderful taste! Will try again✌🏻thank you for clear presentation..
OMG! Thanku soooo much for this Thomas!!! I love fudgey brownies and have never struggled to work out how to get it right!! This is great! God bless ya! 😁😁👍👌
The brownies turned out soo delicious, love it
Tip: 35 minutes or even 30 minutes would be enough
Guys, please bake in 350 degree Fahrenheit or 180 degree Celsius! Enjoy your brownie...
SnehalWagh ok
Emily Rose, Glad if I helped :)
Snehal Wagh thanks, im confusing about the 360 degree and started to rewind the video several times n stilk don't get it.. Now i know, n I'm making it right now thanks for ur info
Thank you
Yea, at first I didn’t understand how 😃🤭
Thank you kind lady for the recipe
God bless
I tried this recipe and the brownies came out really chewy, love it
I dont trust people who like cakey brownies.
+Nav Banga but why ????
+Yagura “ヤグラナゲット” nugget You might want to have someone look into that....
If something makes your mouth itch it's very likely that you are allergic/sensitive to it. My brother always said that tomatoes "feel/taste/itch" like pineapples (which is SO not normal) and then we found out he was reactive to it :/
Awe, man that sucks. Welp, you can try plant based lecithin as a sub for eggs? No one should miss out on fudge goodness.
You'll never go back ;)
I made this and this one tastes soo good.
I made this omg they were so beautiful. I used sweet dark chocolate. Thank you so much❤❤😍😍
just a question who the hell prefers a cake brownie. like really
I didn't even know they were a thing, I thought brownies by nature were fudgey.
i do, i make my brownies cakey since day 1. Tho i didnt know anything about this science behind brownies, i just bake them without a recipe and they all came out cakey
I hate fudgy brownies... Sometimes it takes forever to chew and almost chokes me
I love both! fudgy and cakey!
i like fudge brwnies
No one likes cakey. They are not damn brownies if they are cakey.
It's Knowledge true they’re like, well, cake
If theyre cakey it's just double choclate choclate cake!
AHAHAHAHAHA!! your comment made my day 😅 @It's Knowledge
It's so very yummy!
My favourite
This recipe (well, the one for fudgy brownies) is great. Made it twice now. It IS a bit on the sweet side for my taste (2T + 2t sugar per brownie is a lot of sugar), so next time I'm going to try cutting the sugar back to one cup and see how that works. Unless you like a pretty sweet brownie, my advice is cut the sugar a bit.
Thanks for the tip, I find American recipes too sweet for my taste as well❤
So on the off chance that anyone sees this comment, I just made a batch of the fudgy brownies with Guittard Akoma Extra Semisweet chips (55%) and I used 10 tablespoons of sugar. They are delicious, just sweet enough, and this is how I'll make them in the future. I wouldn't go any lighter on the sugar than that.
Sounds yummy to me! Will try! 1 stick of butter is 113gr/4oz
I've found a third way which I fancy more than both. Use the amount of flour you would use for a fudgy brownie but instead of mixing the melted chocolate and the sugar first, mix the sugar with eggs in high speed until it becomes foamy. Then continue from there...
That makes it lovely!
Lovely in what way? What's the difference between cakey and fudgey?
@@anonnymous4684well better texture and taste.
Fudgy is more on chewy side and cakey is more on grainy side
I agree. Mixing the sugar with the eggs to create a foam, then adding the melted chocolate certainly seems to make my brownies better in texture and more fudgy. I read this in another recipe and it worked for me.
wht am I supposed to focus on, his delicious face or his delicious Brownies?
Both
oh honey he's rooting for the other team - but he is definitely nice to watch :)
hahaha I can't focus on the recipe because of his smile and his eyes 😂😍
+Katrina Jong He is pretty cute..
+deeksha r Omg ikr
Tips from perfect Brazilian brownie recipe: 1)Add a tea spoon of instant coffee, 2) Part of the sugar is brown sugar, 3) Give 3 hits (on the table) to the pan before baking to settle the brownie, 4) Give 3 other hits when take out from oven, 4) Cut with plastic scraper (those large, square shape) it will not stick to it. Hope could helps.
Thank you so much. I tried it today and it turned so much yummy. 🎉🎉
I like the knife in hot water, very clever.
Fudgy Brownies all the way!
1/4 cup is very little cocoa compared to flour imo.

how much backing powder we have to use?
how much baking powder i have to use for caky brownie?
It's the most delicious fudgy brownies I've ever made. Thanks for the recipe
I need this man in my life, he knows how to do it!🍫
And don't forget to take the plastic binder clips off before you melt them in the oven.
theyre made of metal.. nice try
+Roman DeWys we must be looking at 2 different ones. If you pause it at 30 seconds they clearly look like the black plastic binder clips. I could be wrong.
+Jacob Gee yep those are metal
He took them off
+Jacob Gee I've only ever seen metal binder clips. There's plastic ones?
genuinely thankyou for posting this, I've been trying to find a good fudgy brownie recipe for the longest time, gotta make this on the weekend :)
Everytime I search for the perfect recipe , I end up using this one and never regret it. It's perfect! Thank you.
Do we use top and bottom heat? Or top only? And how to know between 30-40 mins tht its perfectly cooked? (Sorry I ask too much 😂)
@@yanyanys I used both . After 30 minutes I checked, it was cracked a little and took it out of the oven. It was perfect, but I think 20-25 minutes would be enough instead of 30-40 . It depends on your oven though.
Made these and they were delicious 🤤 only used a cup of sugar; that was more than enough since these brownies still came out sweet.
Why so much hate for cakey brownies? Can't we all just get along?
no
+rusmas rudsteru haha i like you
😁😁😁😁 #teamfudgybrownies
I added chocolate, candied orange peel and roasted almonds😁 always coat your add-on ingredients in a layer of flour before putting them in batter so that they don't sink to the bottom❤️
LOVE listening to this guy.
How does condensation on the bottom of the bowl end up IN the bowl?
radioactivated 😂
Shining Star: AM or FM?
Aux
Yeah I was like wtf?
Only if you accidentally touch it and let it drip into the bowl 😂 anyway it's better to wipe it, you don't want slippery bowl
can i use a mixture of brown and white sugar for a chewy fudgy taste
I tried it this way. Totally works :)
but do i need to adjusts the amount if i use brown sugar ?
fan girl For my recipe I use 1 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 dark brown sugar. I use unsweetened cocoa powder too. My brownies come out sweet but not extremely sweet.
1/2 cup* Sorry hehe
I like both as long as I get the corner piece. That crunch is everything 😋😂
Thank you for explaining the science of fudgy and cakey brownies so clearly
