Hey man do you remember the specs for this cam in this thing? Its been 8 years so im sure that you have moved on to bigger and better things so you can give us the secret ingredients now 😁
I think it’s the late intake valve closing that makes it rumble. Early intake closing will increase dynamic compression. Late intake closing will decrease dynamic compression. Dynamic is the compression stroke the engine actually “see’s”. Verses the static or measured compression ratio. Example: 11:1 static compression but compression gauge only reads 150psi. Due to late intake valve closing. 8:1 static compression with early intake closing but compression gauge reads 175psi. .
And for everyone out there building an engine, no matter the compression ratio with proper quench distance you want to see 175psi or more. 175 PSI is a good balanced number as the lowest number, and you want as little difference from cylinder to cylinder as possible around 10 PSI or less difference. A custom multipattern cam can help correct this and flow variances, the 4 and 7 swap in a small block chevy SBC helps with this as well as intake variances from cylinder to cylinder, EVEN in a dual plane intake. The cam a 4 or more pattern would be sufficient.
I don't understand what is the reason for comments about other brands of cars, or erroneous correlation of similar sounds. The guy is just sharing his cam tone! This is what's great each individual has their own Ideas and it would be boring to do the same spin on every vehicle.
Because people are insecure about themselves and they believe that makes them look more important . To a educated person, it actually makes them look worse.
Jerry C AMEN! I don't know why it is that people have to crap all over someone's vid when all they are doing is sharing the sound and pride of their vehicle. C'mon people show the respect you would want if you posted this, please.
sharing the cam tone, hell. He acts as if there never was a loping low idle before, and as far as best, that's an opinion that many engine builders know is horseshit.
That's exactly what I get. 351W, .534 lift at 220 degree cam, Roush World Products 200 cc heads, Holley carb, VIctor Jr intake, BBK shortie headers, no cats h pipe, 2 chamber Flowmaster's, with dumps. Neighbor says "i heard you messing with the Mustang again." LOL

People are telling me this Transmission is a T-5 and will bolt right up to a small block Ford and is pretty much the same Transmission as comes in the 5.0 Mustangs. Hoping They are right
Alright you're killing me smalls. Give us some better specs/numbers on the whole combo PLEASE. Off the shelf or custom grind? How much power she making?
Got overlap? This video showed up in my recommended...glad it did. It sounds angry. I can tell its a high compression engine. Would love to see the numbers on that cam too
Actually he's partially correct, overlap is just a by product of duration and lobe seperation. Two cams with the same amount of overlap will have roughly the same idle quality even if one has more duration and wider lober vs shorter duration and narrower lobe. Lift doesn't really affect idle that much.
Don Rutter is correct. I don't believe he meant duration, or lift. You can HEAR compression. It's something a lot of people overlook when admiring the "cool sounds" a car makes when idling, always thinking about lift and duration. Of course, the cam gives it the rhythm. But the reason it sounds so snappy, so crisp, like shots popping off, is because of compression. Put the same cam in a car with 9:1 compression and it's gonna sound like muffled balloons popping under a thick blanket... it you can imagine that.
Can't say I agree, but I understand your love of yours. I prefer the not so lumpy and a lower more beasty type sound. But still it's you that has to be happy with it. Nice
Sounds awesome, but can you give America what they have been asking for ,for over 5 yrs .....what the hell is the part number to the cam,90% of these comments are asking you that....please already

That cam hits me harder than my dad.

So you're saying your daddy didn't hit you hard enough? OK, got it!

Mike Camden that is a flat tappet?
Freakin sweet. Nice choice. Low vac
108 LSA?
Sounds a lot bigger than .555, is the exhaust straight piped?
