It’s about having a regular or cheaper gas, 93 and up octane preferably with no ethanol generally cuts down on the cold start shenanigans, where I live we have only 2 option for gas, 95 and 98, and cold starts as dramatic as that Camaro are simply non existent , not with my friend’s ol’ 76 Trail duster, with the original 318 still moving that rust bucket, and not with our neighbor’s 77 Bronco however this now has a 351 Windsor (for 23 years now) coz the 302 was just too far gone to fix, still both old school engines …
Until an electric car can produce this kind of sound I don't fucking want one.

The 06-14 5.7’s, 06-10 6.1’s, 11-14 6.4’s, and 15-23 6.2’s all have a very similar starter sound to the old Mopars. I love the way my starter sounds on my ‘11 R/T

when I was little my Dad had a 1972 Dodge Power Wagon 'Heavy Half' short box 4x4 and that gear whine at start is burned into my brain and i still smell the interior of the old truck to this day anytime i hear that sound.
Watching that bumble bee start was painful. either he's not giving it any choke or there's a fuelling issue.

Yep my buddy has a 440 new Yorker and literally bought a Corolla just to have a car that would actually start in the winter ... But that also saved the new Yorker from Ohio winters so it's still pretty mint

I love the challenge of starting my 455 Firebird up. As you can see...most here had the "Aint starting on the 1st shot" except the Mustang and 68 Camaro. Good stuff.
The old ford was like " dont pester me! I am going back to sleep!" Starts up again..."WHAT!"
I miss the days when my dad would fire up his 67 Camaro RS. It had a 406 small block in it and sounded so gnarly.

I own a Pontiac Tempest 66/326, a 75/350 Oldsmobile Cutlass Hurst and a 98 Gt Mustang. There is nothing like American muscle.

В этом вся прелесть классики тем более мускулистой, ты её пытаешься завести тем более на холодную, движок пытается схватиться, с 10-й попытки всё же заводится и от этого как по мне кайфовее, чем от современных тихих солярисов и прочих иномарок, завел и всё, а тут надо по мучиться чтоб запустить движок тем более V8 😁 надеюсь со мной пусть и не все, но я думаю многие согласны)

It sounds like bumblebee's starter needs re shimmed. Im not an expert, but it sounds kinda like my old 79 before I added a shim.
