Make a Beaded and Recessed Door Frame Profile with Only Hand Tools

In this video we demonstrate how to make the profile needed for a door frame rail or stile so that there is a bead or round-over which overlaps the face frame of the cabinet and also so that the frame piece of the door recesses into the cabinet door opening. We made this profile to match a late 18th / early 19th century cabinet because we added a cabinet above it and wanted to match that antique style. We made the entire door ( rails, stiles, and raised panel ) using only hand tools.

Thanks Sukey (and Tom). Another excellent informative video. Is 'ditzel' a woodworking term? Tom removed them, apparently, whilst burnishing.

It is now… of course many have other terms for the little bits and bobs that form but are easily removed. Tom calls them ( 4 letter word for the large group of muscles upon which one sits) nuggets.
